Very close to the beach! Lovely surroundings! And the host was amazing ☺️

Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer/Vermieter war sehr freundlich und auch sehr unkompliziert über WhatsApp. Eine kleine Schwierigkeit konnte wir sehr schnell und unkompliziert zu lösen. Die Lage ist der Wahnsinn. Eher abgelegen aber wunderschön. Ist auf jeden Fall auf meiner Merkliste und wenn ich wieder nach Irland komme dann buche ich dort wieder für ein paar Nächte. Definitiv eine 10 von 10.

Myself and myhusband ,son and daughter in law stayed for a family reunion ,we had a comfortable 3 nights and would recommend it for a break.

Great location ..great beach walks..very comfortable beds..tea and coffee and condiments supplied..radio was an added bonus

A clothes line would be great as nowhere to dry towels after swimming ..couldn’t figure out the dryer..under shower mat in bathroom was grotty

Hughie's Farm Cottage offered the perfect, peaceful Ballyliffin getaway. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, with great check-in instructions. As a self-catering stay, it was fully equipped with plenty of fresh linen and towels. The bathroom was excellent, featuring both a bathtub and a cubicle shower with great hot water. Outside, the convenient front-door parking easily fits three cars. Surrounded by farm animals just beyond the wall, the location is incredibly quiet with no through traffic. Best of all, it is within easy walking distance of the beachfront’s beautiful dunes and the tidal lagoons near Canny’s Cottage and 5 fingers sculpture.

Didn't like that we couldn't stay longer.

Great location, a short walk to doagh strand and a short drive from Ballyliffin and Carndonagh. The house was well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Amazing location by the mountains and sea. Property was clean and had all the amenities for the stay.

It would be great to have 24 hours hot water, especially for a shower after a long day and kids.

Big cosy home equipped with everything for a pleasant home. Well heated and can be regulated. Big kitchen, even if I haven't cooked except coffee. Enough parking space for at least 3 cars. Secure and very suited. Lovely situated at Doagh strand beside the Famine Farm. Not hard to find this remote place. Tipps what to see and where to eat available. Some good hints. Close to scenic sunset point with the ruins of a castle. Just follow the road.

Have just returned from Hugies Farm and it was amazing the house is beautiful with stunning views from every window the story of Hugies Farm gave it a special feel it was cosy and comfortable the Host Bill was a pleasure to deal with and the surprise bottle of bubbles chilling in the fridge was great could not recommend this holiday home highly enough 10 Stars all round our family made memories that will last forever we will definitely be returning to Hugies Farm Thank you Bill for everything 😁👍

The house was warm throughout and spacious. It was easy to pick up and leave the keys. The location was fantastic close to the beautiful beaches. It was quiet and peaceful. Everything necessary was equipped in the kitchen. It was comfortable to spend indoors when the weather was not so great outside.

Wir verbringen seit Jahren unseren Urlaub in Irland und kommen meist in einem Cottage unter. Hughie's Farm war eines der schönsten, wir möchten auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich an einem der bezauberndsten Fleckchen Donegals. In 5 Minuten ist man an einem tollen, ruhigen (im Oktober) Strand. Das Haus ist hell, modern und doch absolut gemütlich eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Bill, der Eigentümer, hilft sofort, sollte es Probleme geben. Mein Highlight waren die Schafe, die man wirklich vom Bett aus zählen konnte🥰

My daughter's cooking was to the usual excellent standard! House is in a great scenic area. Locals so helpful. Weather predictable.

A beautiful little cottage, very tidy and clean and had all essential utilities available. Located in a lovely part of the country, I would highly recommend it, ten out of ten.

Loved our stay here - beautiful house, really well laid out, spacious & very comfortable. Excellent beds - slept like a log - good bathroom with shower and bath. Very clean & well equipped. Lovely area - close to Doagh Strand - with good views. Very quiet and peaceful. The Famine Village easy walking distance & well worth a visit and easy drive for Malin Head & other scenery. Bill was excellent host - great coms and very helpful. Thank you!

Beautiful house in a fabulous location. The house was very warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything was perfect. We will definitely return when visiting friends again.

It was incredibly well-equipped and was so comfortable, clean and inviting. The views right outside the living room window were spectacular. We got really lucky with the weather, which meant that we could go on amazing walks all around lagacurry and the surrounding hills. The cottage was warm and had all the facilities we needed.

The house was in a nice quiet area but close to bars and restaurants.There were lots of local guides to the area in the house and plenty of entertainment for families. It is probably one of the best we have stayed in.

I know different people have different thoughts on how rental accommodation should be ,but for me this had no bad points.

The cottage was beautiful, very well kept, clean, comfortable, beautiful views, spacious. Anything needed was at hand. Lovely bottle of bubbly left for us arriving.

We stayed here for a week commencing 15th July, from the minute we opened the door we couldn't have asked for better. The cottage itself is absolutely gorgeous and so spacious. The outdoor area was ideal for the kids and their granda. They could play away, and you can see them from any window in the house & the gate added extra peace of mind. On arrival, the host had a very nice bottle of Fizz in the fridge for the adults, which was a very nice touch. The rooms were very spacious, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The house itself was spotless and so well laid out. There were plenty of films/dvds to choose from for when the weather isn't the best and they have lots of board games for all ages to keep the kids occupied, luckily the weather was perfect and we didn't have TV on very much. We're looking forward to our return trip next year.

The location was beautiful, with a stunning view of the mountains from the lounge, beautifully cosy interior with great facilities and helpful hosts who kept in communication to check all was okay. Walking distance to an awe inspiring beach and the Doagh Famine Village was less than a 5 min walk from the house on the way to the nearest beach, definitely a great tour worth every euro, well worth visiting. The accommodation was really clean and tidy with lovely stylish, cosy decor particularly in the 2 double bedrooms and lounge, the 2 double beds were exceptionally comfortable. Lovely spacious lounge and kitchen. Would highly recommend Hughie's Farm Cottage!

Wanted to stay longer

We had a bad experience with fleas and a toilet that kept blocking only one toilet had to phone plumber and my husband had to rod the sewer himself twice we were all bit and had to go home early but location beautiful

We have visited Hughie's Farm Cottage House recently, and we absolutely love it. The house is lovely and cozy, great location, piece and quiet, only nature. Close to beaches and incredible places. We were delighted, hoping to return someday! Thank you for having us
