The Lake House

Very thoughtful of our host Vincent, to leave supplies like bread and wine etc. Vincent greeted us upon arrival, at the time we had agreed. Excellent communication throughout with Vincent. The view from the upstairs sitting room was gorgeous. Another sitting room downstairs. A very spacious house with plenty of bathrooms, towels are supplied and spotlessly clean. Location was perfect, very quiet location. We will definitely return again.

We’ve just come home from the most amazing stay and honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. The weather was absolutely glorious, which made the breathtaking views over Lough Allen even more special. Waking up to the lake and the beautiful horses grazing in the nearby fields was just incredible. The location is perfect for families. Lough Allen Adventure is less than a five-minute drive away, where we had an unforgettable kayaking experience and got to see the stunning Lake House from the water. Acres Boardwalk is also only a few minutes away and was a huge hit with our kids, with its lovely walking trails, playground, tennis courts and the heated outdoor swimming pool. We made the most of every minute! The house itself had everything we could possibly need. It was spotless, spacious and so well equipped. The upstairs and downstairs living rooms were a brilliant bonus, giving the kids their own space while the adults could relax. There were lots of games to keep the children entertained, tennis rackets for anyone wanting a game, and the outdoor space was perfect for them to run around and play. We even had a little rabbit visiting the garden, which the kids absolutely loved! The welcome from Vincent was so thoughtful. Fresh wheaten bread, milk, butter and jam were waiting for us when we arrived – such a lovely touch after a long journey. The kitchen was fully equipped, with both an oven and an air fryer, making family meals really easy. Above all, Vincent was an exceptional host – friendly, accommodating and a true gentleman. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made us feel so welcome from start to finish. This was one of our favourite family stays, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Vincent, for such a wonderful holiday!

Absolutely gorgeous house with top notch design. It also came supplied with anything you might need. Extremely comfortable beds, nice showers, heated flooring, and beautiful views. All in the wonderful setting of Lough Allen and its surrounding nature and towns. Can't wait to visit again!

We had a fantastic 4-night stay at The Lake House. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The setting is stunning, with views across Lough Allen and the most incredible sunsets right from the house. Vincent was a brilliant host, welcoming and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed for our stay. The location is perfect: just a short walk into Drumshanbo where we enjoyed the boardwalk, Jinny’s Café, and the Jackalope Café at The Shed Distillery. We also made the most of the area with day trips to Sligo, Strandhill, Rosses Point, Glencar Waterfall, Garadice Lough, and visiting family in Ballinamore. It was a wonderful stay in every way, and we would happily return.

We didn't check in until gone 11pm due to delays. Vincent still amazingly greeted us on our arrival with a very warm welcoming. A quick tour around the house and also left us with milk, butter, bread, jam, wine and flowers! Any questions about things to do locally Vincent was very quick and helpful at coming back to us! The house is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous view of Lough Allen. Equipped with everything you need from an oven, hob, toaster, coffee machine and even an airfryer!! The place was clean and tidy and plenty of space to break out into. It is only a short 10-15 minute walk into Drumshanbo town where there is a café, shop, a few pubs and pharmacy. We was also very easily able to get taxis if we wanted to venture further out of Drumshanbo for a drink. I can't fault anything and will for sure be returning in the future. It was in a beautiful location with lovely grounds. House was lovely, bedrooms lovely and beds super comfy. Lovely welcome pack and Vincent was there to support on any issues which we didn’t have any.

No WiFi but was taking a break from work so wasn’t a big deal.

Very spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Lots of bathrooms and two sitting rooms so perfect for multigenerational families.

Beautiful house with beautiful views. A short stroll down to Drumshambo town and the Drumshanbo shed distillery. The house was spotless very spacious, loads of parking space, warm and very comfortable. The host was very pleasant and very nice to deal with. I would highly recommend staying at this property and we will hopefully return ourselves again.

Unfinished outside, cold atmosphere due to marble finishes but having no heat while there was also a contributing factor. Showers and water COLD also.

Well appointed house with great complement of delph, cooking facilities and utensils. Great kitchen and great size. Mattresses on beds very comfortable. Great bathrooms and ensuite rooms. Super living rooms. Great space overall and outside too. Owner most accommodating. All my friends delighted with my choice. Very safe area.

Everything about our stay was so perfect. Vincent went above and beyond to make sure we were set up for a great stay. Location is so close to local shops which has everything you would need and view of the lake was stunning. I would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat. Wifi, Parking, shops nearby and a place to chill was everything we needed.

Absolutely nothing to fault

A beautiful home inside and out. Very clean and spacious. Plenty of room for the 8 of us that stayed there. The sitting room upstairs was a great place to chill out, has a lovely view of the lake. The owner was cool, he left us a bottle of Prosecco which was a nice touch. Also told us about the best spots to eat, drink, and go to in the town. Would stay here again if we came back to the area. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Amazing location! Close to the town, some lovely walks by the lake close by. The house is stunning, even more beautiful in person. Vincent is such a great host, our family was made to feel so welcome. Wouldn’t hesitate in staying again and would highly recommend to anyone.

The Lake House is a beautiful property with stunning views, in a nice quiet location but still walking distance to town. We had a great visit and definitely will be back.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely, modern house for two nights and it was nothing short of amazing. The house was not only comfortable and warm but also fully equipped with everything we needed. The views from the house were absolutely breathtaking, adding an extra layer of relaxation and enjoyment to our stay. The owner of the house was incredibly thoughtful and kind. Not only did he ensure that we had full information about the area and the house, but he also surprised us with fresh milk and delicious scones, which was a delightful and unexpected touch. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone.
