Nice breakfast service with coffee menu and fresh muffins in a nice wood design veranda of the house. Very comfortable baldaquin bed. Romantic double Bath tub located in the room, on top of bathroom in the room with shower.

The exotic black & golden decoration of the restaurant downstairs is a bit off the Canadian environment in town. No lobby service or hotel reception, as cash register of the restaurant is the only place for service, but closed in certain hours. Keys located in a locker next to the door of the room at 1st floor, with code supplied by message a few hours before checking in.

Needs updating. Tub had rust, caulking brown and falling off. They send too many emails telling you how to do self check-in (even though we were arriving during front desk hours). I would rather deal with people than numerous emails which are often not received due to poor cell coverage in many parts of the Maritimes. Front staff not particularly friendly. When I asked how to turn on fireplace wax told it was turned off for the summer, however we found a remote and it was operational.

We loved everything about it - the location - the room - it was spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the balcony overlooking main street. The coffee shop was awesome and dinner in the restaurant was amazing! We didn’t want to leave.

Mainly the price of both the room and the food were overpriced. The seafood chowder was overly salty and my scallop and pork meal was not very warm when brought to our table.

Ein wunderbares, historisches Gebäude, fantastisch restauriert und gepflegt. Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer. Sehr schön ist auch die Bar, fast geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Bruyant … on a demandé à changer de chambre et ils nous ont changé en nous débitant 58$ sans nous demander notre accord ( heureusement nous avons réussi à se faire rembourser)… et en plus la machine à café ne fonctionne pas ! A fuire

Unser Lieblingshotel in Shediac - wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal dort und kommen sehr gerne wieder hin. Das Hotel sieht wirklich so aus wie auf den Bildern und versprüht sehr viel Charme im Kolonialstil. Das Zentrum von Shediac ist in Gehweite. Das Restaurant können wir nicht ganz beurteilen, da wir dort nicht gegessen haben - aber es sieht sehr einladend aus.

Die Bar schließt leider etwas früh.

Nous avons eu un problème de toilette bouchée à 22h. J’ai appelé le numéro d’urgence (qui n’en est pas un …)puisqu’il n’y avait personne à la réception. J’ai laissé un message.Une dame du restaurant a texté la personne en charge et après 1h30 d’attente, personne n’est venu. Nous avons utilisé la toilette du rez-de-chaussée en attendant. Lendemain matin, j’explique la situation à la personne à la réception qui me dit que quelqu’un va s’en occuper sous peu… Finalement, après avoir expliqué ma situation encore quelques fois, j’ai dû demander qu’on me change de chambre ou qu’on me rembourse… La dame de la réception, après avoir attendu une autorisation qui n’est pas venue, nous a changé de chambre….à 14h30 Je ne retournerai plus dans cet hôtel et je ne le recommande pas non plus… c’est dans une situation comme celle-là qu’on peut juger du service à la clientèle et malheureusement, il n’a pas été à la hauteur du prix demandé pour loger à cet endroit.

Breakfast was delicious and they came up with a kids option for the 3 kids we had with us. Would highly recommend reservations.

Very quaint and comfortable lodging. I would highly recommend staying here! Nice little cafe/bakery, beautiful rooms, tastefully docorated, nice private sitting areas to visit with others or just read a book. Great location! Highly recommend.

Needed a place to put our luggage in the room. There was one rack but needed another. Fridge was outside the room but that was not a big deal as we didn't have alot to add other than breakfast foods. Nothing else comes to mind. Not really suitable for families with alot of children.

Beautiful. Although on a busy street, the house is set back and is very quiet. Alex is amazing. So calm and elegant. He has a talent in making the guest feel special, but in an authentic, not phony way.

No Kleenex in the room. I asked for some. The staff tried to accommodate but the best they could do was restaurant napkins.

Très belle maison centenaire avec beaucoup de charme, très tranquille, confortable et très bien située. Le personnel a été vraiment très gentil et aidant. Ça devait être un enregistrement autonome mais finalement il y avait une jeune fille à la réception qui nous a accueilli et qui nous a aidé, fait visiter et donné des informations utiles. C’était parfait!

fire alarm battery on the ceiling went off all night long our last night and the response from management was appalling. not any kind of compensation for the lack of quality sleep was offered.

Eine charmante, historische Unterkunft und Restaurant mit vielen liebevollen Details. Sehr gepflegte Außenanlage und eine nette Bar. Man kann mit offenem Fenster schlafen.

Es handelt sich um das, was wir in Deutschland einen Gasthof nennen. Entsprechend üppig die Hauptgerichte. Um 22.00 Uhr ist dann Betriebsende. Leider haben wir es irgendwie nicht richtig verstanden, dass es auch Frühstück gibt. Dazu gibt es aber auch ein Stück weiter die Straße hinauf ein nettes Café.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. There was no noise from the street or other rooms. A lovely foyer for morning coffee or pre dinner wine or tea. Extra coffee, water, and refrigeration was readily available. The food in the restaurant was fantastic! We had breakfast and it was so good we decided to make reservations for dinner. We were not disappointed. The location in the village was a 10 minutes walk to anything in the downtown area.

A small table in the room would be helpful. The sensor light on the heat pump is bright and creates ambient light during the night.

A lovely old building in Shediac but well modernized inside. It is close to all amenities such as groceries, drug store, liquor store, and restaurants… though its own restaurant is well priced compared to others. The rooms have access to ‘common’ fridges and the little balcony above the front entrance (see photo) is great for an evening drink and watch the sunset. The staff were charming and helpful.

Everything was top notch. I loved that the property retains historic details but with excellent modern facilities. The bed, with crisp white linens, was so comfortable. The bathroom luxurious. The hotel had several delightful areas to relax including the cosy bar with velvet seating, the all day cafe on an inviting glassed in verandah and even a little reading nook on the first floor. Perfect for this solo traveller. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Plentiful free parking. I didn’t use the dining room but highly recommend the creme brûlée if you’re looking for an after dinner drink and dessert in the bar. Close the Shediac’s gorgeous beaches and wharf.

Breakfast included in the price would be nice.

We loved our stay at Tait House. Room was clean and attention paid to many nice details. (fireplace on, lots of towels, in-room Keurig machine). We ate in the restaurant (dinner) and then breakfast in the café. Both excellent!

Bien situé .Personnels très bien.Chambre très propre.Tout était parfait mais sauf le bruit du climatiseur qui a tout changé notre séjour.

Chambre au deuxième étage pas évident pour les bagages.Climatiseur bruyant ce qui a rendu notre séjour vraiment désagréable.Nous avons peu dormi malgré les bouchons qui étaient fournis.Mr Thierry avisé mais peu de résultats suite à la discussion.Nous sommes partis plus fatigués qu’à notre arrivée.Mr Thierry nous a rien offert lors de notre rencontre sauf au départ ce qui était trop tard.
