Everything was perfect and very friendly staff!

De locatie was top! Op loopafstand van het centrum maar geen geluidsoverlast. Personeel was top zoals overaal in Sri Lanka. Restaurant/ café op de locatie was geweldig.

We waren met 3p, de extrabed voor onze dochter maakte de kamer erg krap. Een klein kastje voor de kleren was ook fijn geweest.

Lovely setting in the forest with monkeys, mongoose & even deer spotted from the balcony. Cozy, amazing breakfast. Once you know the short cut it’s a quick walk to town. Very close to the rail line so can see the train go by.

Room is a bit small, no where to hang clothes.

Ella is een relatief drukke plek, dit verblijf is dichtbij het centrum maar toch midden in de natuur. Heerlijk! Ook een boomstam door het verblijf, geweldig.

Chambre très agréable donnant sur la jungle avec une jolie petite terrasse. Très bon petit déjeuner. Très pratique pour aller centre ville en marchant sur la voie ferrée (350m)

Le café juste au dessus des chambres est assez bruyant jusqu’à 23h.

La gentillesse de l'accueil, le calme de lieux (éloigné de la rue principale d'Ella particulièrement bruyante) et le fait d'être dans la jungle, au milieu des singes :) Les parties communes ainsi que la chambre sont propres, literie confortable, bon petit déjeuner.

Eem jungle vibe midden in het centrum! Bij het koffie drinken in de ochtend zagen we apen in de bomen. Naast de accomodatie zit een leuke bar en anders ben je met 5 minuten lopen in het centrum van Ella.

De kamers waren wat gehorig en het is dichtbij een treinspoor. Gelukkig rijden er niet zo vaak treinen.

Geweldige locatie! Via de shortcut ben je met 2 minuten in het centrum. Personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en het ontbijt erg lekker. Wij zagen apen vanaf ons balkon! Heerlijke plek.

De kamer was wel een beetje klein voor 2 personen inclusief bagage en het bed was vrij hard.

Había un bar encima de nuestra habitación. Música alta y gente gritando. Solo se puede acceder con tuk tuk, un coche normal no puede llegar. Se indicaba que había nevera y aire acondicionado y ni rastro. El chico de recepción simpático, pero muy despistado.

Ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis mitten im Dschungel! Das Frühstück war frisch und lecker, und die Gastgeber sehr herzlich – sogar ein Fahrservice zum Bahnhof wurde uns angeboten. Besonders spannend war der kurze Weg über die Gleise zur Innenstadt. Das Gefühl an der Bahnstrecke und im Dschungel war einmalig, zumal wir morgens von Affen geweckt wurden. Auch das Restaurant direkt nebenan ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Toilette hinter der Dusche ist zwar etwas unpraktisch, aber das Gesamtpaket überzeugt.

la struttura è molto particolare, immersa nel verde della giungla. Anche le camere sono molto carine e ben arredate, con letto a baldacchino e tutto in legno. il personale è stato molto carino e gentile. Molto buona anche la colazione.

La amabilidad del personal y el desayuno. Estuve solo una noche por lo que poco puedo valorar. Alejado de la calle principal pero muy fácil de llegar. Era lo que buscaba.

El agua caliente se acabó en seguida y me quedé a medias. Hace mas fresco que en el resto del país, por lo que el agua fría cuesta más.

La struttura è praticamente sui binari della stazione e a due passi dalla strada principale di Ella quindi posizione ideale. La camera è piccola ma accogliente, lo staff gentile e disponibile, la colazione molto buona con the, crespella miele e banana, omelette e un gustoso centrifugato fresco di frutta

Hat etwas von Dschungel Fealing. Liegt auf den ersten Blick etwas abseits aber man erreicht über die Schienen sehr schnell die Hauptstraße, ohne den langen Berg laufen zu müssen

Zimmer doch eher klein (aber trotzdem okay)

Wie schon vorher beschrieben, gibt es eine Affenfamilie, die direkt vor dem Balkon im Dschungel lebt und morgens dort super zu beobachten ist. In unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Bahngleisen, über die man direkt die Wanderungen zur Nine Arch Bridge und zum Ella Rock beginnen kann. Frühstück ist super. Auch die Bar im Obergeschoss ist gut und macht leckeres Essen.

Das Haus ist insgesamt relativ hellhörig. Wenn man früh ins Bett geht, hat man durchaus Lärm aus anderen Stockwerken und/oder der Bar.

The staff were exceptional and we felt very welcomed after a long taxi ride to get there late in the evening. The rooms are very small and basic but good enough, with a delightful “jungle” setting - banana trees etc. Someone saw a monkey. We only stayed one night to catch the amazing train to Kandy/Colombo next day (the “Ella Odyssey” - a long day but a fabulous journey.) Very nice breakfast. Bed a bit on the firm side for me but clean and comfortable, with mosquito nets. Access to the station was super easy (but not for the faint-hearted or with mobility challenges), basically you walk down the railway track! At an approved time I might add. The place is very close to the railway which may not be to everyone’s taste. I loved it. The line seems not very busy but there was a 4AM train. A memorable stay.

It was a bit tricky to find down a medium length side road. Would be a decent and steepish walk to the main road (which I didn’t need to do.)

Beautiful place in the jungle, 5 minutes walk to the station and town. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. One of the best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka:-)

Wir haben zwei Nächte hier verbracht und uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage ist super. Nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß über die Schienen bis zur Hauptstraße aber trotzdem in der Natur. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, das Frühstück frisch und lecker, und das Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Gezellig en comfortabel guesthouse op een goede locatie in Ella. Prima ontbijt, goede service en hele vriendelijke mensen. De Deluxe kamers zijn prima van grootte, de andere kamers wat aan de kleine kant. We hebben via de eigenaars scooters gehuurd voor een scherpe prijs en echt een heel leuk verblijf gehad.

Andere reviews omschreven de rust van de locatie, dat viel wat tegen.

Aardige host, prachtig privé balkon met uitzicht op de tuin met aapjes, vlinders, vogels, mangoesten, enz. Twee minuten lopen naar dorp en toch junglesfeer.

De locatie is erg leuk, ‘s ochtends genieten van de spelende apenfamilies in de bomen, de beroemde trein voorbij kunnen zien komen en via het spoor ben je binnen 5 minuten in het gezellige centrum. Personeel is ook ontzettend welwillend en aardig, maar die konden helaas niet goed maken wat ik hieronder zet.

De kamers zijn erg klein en in tegenstelling tot wat er op booking.com staat zijn ze dus veel kleiner en ook geen beloofde zaken als koffiezetapparaat, koelkast etc. Klacht bij Booking.com daarover is ook nutteloos, ze hebben er een mooie notitie van gemaakt. Maar de kamer was ook nog warm, muf ruikend, en douche direct naast het toilet dus alles kletsnat en werkelijk geen enkel plankje om zelfs maar een tandenborstel op te zetten. Deuren sloten niet goed af dus ook insecten in huis.

Posizione comodissima per partire per Ella’s Rock all’alba. In meno di 2 minuti a piedi si è all’inizio del percorso, molto consigliato! La sera è un pochino rumoroso perché ci sono dei locali che fanno musica ma è il bello di Ella!

La salle de bain pas très pratique, il faut passer par la douche pour aller au WC. L'eau lorsqu'il yadu soleil et à condition qu'il en reste.

Non c’era acqua per fare doccia e non c’era manco acqua calda. La stanza sa di umido e muffa e ti senti appiccicato quando vai a dormire, struttura non troppo accogliente. Rapporto qualità-prezzo pessima

The owner is too friendly and caring.

We found it as usual according to the booking app's reviews, but were really disappointed. Very low maintenance room and bathroom. The room is the size of a queen bed. No place to walk. The toilet is not clean and really needs a renovation on the whole. There was only one power outlet in the room. You could either charge your mobile or use the fan, cause there is no ac. The distance to the main street of ella is a problem too.the road is too bumpy with a steep slope. The surroundings were messy and disorganized.

Über die Gleise erreicht man schnell die "Innenstadt" von Ella. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Da die Unterkunft direkt an den Gleisen liegt hört man den Zug, auch nachts oder früh morgens. Direkt oberhalb befindet sich eine Bar, die bis nach 12 Uhr Musik spielte, die wir leider hören konnten. Mit Ohrstöpsel aber kein Problem. Die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, allerdings hatten wir schon eindeutig saubere Unterkünfte auf Sri Lanka.

Czyste pokoje oraz łazienki, brak pleśni - co się często zdarza w innych hotelach, śniadanie dobre ale bardziej europejskie niż lokalne. Dobra lokalizacja Z małych minusów to słychać przejeżdżające pociągi - mi akurat to nie przeszkadzało, chłopakowi za to tak. Plus słychać do późnych godzin nocnych imprezę z lokalu obok.

We stayed just one night to take the train to Nuwara Eliya the following morning and this place was just what we needed. Really good value for money and great views from the balcony straight into the jungle. Super comfy bed and nice staff who accommodated our request for an early breakfast which was delicious with local options.

The bathroom is very functional but as per the standards within the area but for one night it was just what we needed and the price was super good!

We intentionally booked this hotel because it advertised rooms including a refrigerator and washing machine. Neither were available. The toilet in our room wouldn't flush. The staff claimed it was fixed it was not. We were eventually moved to another room.

De ligging is prima. Midden in Ella, maar toch het gevoel dat je in de jungle bent.

De kamers zijn wat klein, kleiner dan op de fotos lijkt.

Sehr nettes Personal, coole Kulisse mit dem jungel direkt am Hotel, sehr Zentrumnah durch eine Abkürzung bei den Gleisen. Zimmer waren sehr sauber und in top Zustand, Frühstück mega lecker und ausreichend. Uns wurde auch ein sehr günstiges Taxi vermittelt um in die nächste Stadt zu kommen. Immer wieder gerne hier her.

The room was nice, and the hosts were helpful. The design of the place is lovely, and the location is convenient, with a quick shortcut to the city center—no tuk-tuk needed in our opinion. WiFi was okay, and breakfast was decent—nothing special but enjoyable, especially after a sunrise hike. A great touch was that they prepared a breakfast package for our early train departure. Speaking of the train, it's quite close, so it can be loud at times, but we didn’t mind.

Super prettige locatie, net buiten de drukte van het centrum, maar wel alles op loopafstand. Het naar boven lopen is wel een goede training voor de kuiten. De kamers kijken uit naar een stukje jungle. Wij hadden verschillende keren apen in de tuin, dat was een leuk vermaak.

Onze kamer was erg vochtig en het rook daardoor niet prettig.

Está situado en una zona muy tranquila pero a la vez muy cerca caminando de todos los restaurantes y la estación de tren. El personal muy atento y agradable, siempre dispuesto a ayudar.

Goede locatie op 5 min lopen van het centrum via een “sluiproute” over het spoor. De kamer had een eigen balkon met uitzicht op groen en waterkokertje zodat ik thee kon zetten. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. Iedere ochtend werd er een heerlijk ontbijtje (ei hopper, dahl, roti of pannenkoek en fruit) geserveerd. Goede laundry service aan de overkant.

Het matras was iets te hard voor mij. Het hotel ligt recht aan het spoor, dus dat hoor je wel. Gelukkig rijden er ‘s nachts geen treinen, dus ik had daar verder geen last van. Boven het hotel is een lokale bar, waar tot uurtje of 23uur rustige (reggae) muziek wordt gedraaid. Ik had er niet zo veel last van, maar als je vroeg wilt slapen kan dit vervelend zijn.

The location was great—right in the city center yet surrounded by nature. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and satisfying.

Unfortunately, it was quite noisy due to the bar above, with music playing from 8 AM until nearly midnight. Additionally, the balcony was very central, meaning people frequently passed by, and guests from the other room had to walk through it as well.

We rented a scooter, but it wasn't in good condition and broke down at the end of our trip. We had to use other transportation and incurred additional expenses. I would recommend renting from those who specialize in scooter rental services.

Lage ist super, man ist abseits der Hauptstraße aber trotzdem in 5 min zu Fuß dort. Direkt vor dem Zimmer beginnt der Dschungel, auch sehr schön. Das Personal ist äußerst nett und bemüht, gutes Frühstück.

Oft war die Musik von der oben gelegenen Bar etwas sehr laut (nie länger als bis 23 Uhr), beim Duschen stand oft das ganze Bad unter Wasser.
