Jack is een fantastische gastheer. Terwijl ik er verbleef waren er ook nog 3 Ieren. We zijn alle vier om 7u opgestaan om vroeg te vertrekken maar we zijn blijven kletsen tot 11u. Je zou er heengaan voor Jack alleen al. Voor de rest is het wel een ouder huis en de trap en vloer kraakt wat, maar het is netjes, alle voorzieningen zijn er met een heerlijk ontbijt en goeie wifi. Een aanrader!

Overdag is het een redelijk drukke weg, maar tegen de avond passeert er bijna geen kat meer. Er verbleef ook een gekke Roemeen, maar dat kan overal gebeuren.

Had a great stay with Jack. A great host with great recommendations. Clean comfortable room.

Excellent host, clean spotless property, watched a Netflix movie in the common room, enjoyed a few cans. Lovely freshly brewed coffee in the morning with breakfast, not instant.

Toilet facilities not ensuite, creaks on stairs, could hear the (noisy) early birds leaving from 7 (woke us actually) but we had to get up and out anyway! Property a wee bit more remote than I preferred but that's just me.

Jack is very welcoming and interesting to converse with, His dogs are very sweet and friendly to strangers. The room was very nice and clean, and breakfast was wonderful. Located in a nice village and Jack knows the spots to go, just ask him!

Everything was perfect! We felt like home. Jack greeted us, gave us tour and even sit with us for while. In the morning he made us excelent irish breakfast.

Handy location after Adare for working in Killarney in the morning.Host made lovely breakfast and was very welcoming.My room had a plug in radiator , good wifi and hairdryer.

My room had only one small window which would mean little daylight. This did not bother me as I arrived late was there to sleep and go early on a work trip. There are several rooms though.

Avevo chiesto la colazione alle 7 poiché dovevo andare via presto e mi era stata garantita, ma non era vero, ho dovuto cucinare io, ma a parte questo tutto ok.

Besonders ist uns Jacks offene, hilfsbereite und lustige Art im Gedächtnis geblieben. Wir haben uns direkt willkommen gefühlt. Das Zimmer war wirklich schön eingerichtet und die Bäder sauber. Das irische Frühstück wurde von Jack mit viel Liebe zubereitet und wir haben die Gespräche während des Frühstücks sehr genossen. Außerdem durften wir mit Jacks Hunden spazieren gehen, was definitiv ein Highlight war. Auch die Empfehlung des lokalen Pubs war sehr gut.

We liked everything. Bit difficult to reach without a car, but we thoroughly enjoyed the walk on the Limerick Greenway from Newcastle West.

Jack is the super host everyone would love to have! He’s a fantastic person who makes you feel right at home, completely opening the doors of his house to you! He’s incredibly kind and helpful, always ready with a smile and a friendly speech. Truly amazing. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the room spacious. In the morning, we woke up to a rich full Irish breakfast that Jack had prepared for us! If you want to fully experience Ireland and the warmth of its people with true Irish hospitality, this is the place! Trust me!

Estuvimos estupendamente, Jack nos acogió en su casa como si fuéramos familia. La habitación es muy cómoda y acogedora. El baño es amplio y tiene todo lo que puedas necesitar (gel, champú, secador de pelo…), está todo muy limpio. El desayuno estaba riquísimo, típico Irlandés. Si volvemos por la zona repetiremos seguro.

L'accoglienza di Jack scalda il cuore. In questa tipica casa inglese, la stanza era ampia e il bagno in comune. Ottima la colazione. Il punto forte è però sicuramente l'incontro con Jack, delizioso host che vi intratterrà con racconti e Consigli. Ottima la posizione per chi sta facendo un viaggio on the road. Per noi che amiamo gli animali, è stato bello poter coccolare i cani, peccato non aver incontrato anche il gatto!

Jack made our stay 10/10! Superb host. Location in the countryside was beautiful.

Would be helpful if there were more transport options into nearby Newcastle West. However, we enjoyed a beautiful walk along the Greenway which took about an hour with gorgeous scenery. Also Jack was the most accommodating host who went above and beyond for his guests.

We loved how welcoming and friendly Jack was. He showed us our accommodation then offered us tea and coffee and we all sat and had a nice chat. Our room was great and the bed was very comfortable. There was a pub close by to have a drink, but they didn't serve food. We liked that we had full access to Jack's kitchen at any time. The breakfast provided was delicious. We would recommend a stay with Jack.

Bit unfinished feel

Jack is the most welcoming and the friendliest host I've had a chance to encounter on my travels. Beautiful house, wonderful location, easy drives and, above all, a feelgood home environment. A great place to base yourself and explore this part of Ireland and, btw, Jack is here to help and provide an expert advice on everything Ireland. Many thanks for recommending the Epic museum of emigration in Dublin and looking forward to the Little Museum of Dublin next time on my way to Jack's sometimes in the near future hopefully.

Jack and his wife Sue are fantastic hosts! They were willing to chat for hours or leave us to do our own thing. We coordinated a time for breakfast then came down for a delicious home cooked meal. Meeting the puppies was also a fun bonus!

There was a bath I could use upstairs bit main shower was downstairs. Jack did go for a walk with his dogs whilst I used the facilities.

Jack is very kind and helpful and knows many stories. He has two lovely dogs, a cat, and a big heart. The room was spacious and clean. We got a full Irish breakfast with additional pastries such as cinnamon buns.

Jack was on holiday. His goddaughter Bernadette took me to and from the bus stop and helped me navigate the village of Ardagh. Woke up to a lovely Irish breakfast and fantastic conversation. Lovely people and worth the trip.

Excellent Irish breakfast cooked by Jack, the perfect host. Jack was very friendly and waited for me until late in the evening to check in. He was very keen on having a good chat. Very good stay. I drank Nespresso coffee from my portable coffee machine with Jack and Alexandra, a very brave and friendly young woman from Italy that was also a guest at Jacks. She loved a proper coffee. She was travelling around Ireland on a Vespa, a very classic Italian motorcicle.

We stayed only one night as it was our stop after visiting Sliege League Cliff and Sligo. Our next visit would have been Galway and the Cliff of Moher. The room was big and comfortable, and even if it says you have to share the bathroom, Jack has another bathroom downstairs that you can use. Jack is grand...a very nice person and he can help you with everything you need. Breakfast is beyond expectation and Jack can entertain you with his stories. What a lovely man. I strongly recommend this place if you are passing by.
