Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The room was clean and spacious, the atmosphere ideal. The breakfast was delicious. Above all the service staff were all a pleasure to interact with. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
The WiFi in the room was weak, but it was resolved on the day. The door to my room was a bit difficult to lock but with some trick it can be done. Other than that no complaints!

To make sure the oool pump doesn’t run at night which is close to the room we had. When we pointed it out after the first night it was corrected for us after that.

It was difficult to adjust the temperature in the shower and the warm water ran out quickly - perhaps partly due to water shortages the region has been experiencing.

Toen het restaurant dicht bleek, heeft hij een diner voor ons georganiseerd. Hij maakte het voor ons heerlijk door de open haard aan te steken. Daarnaast is Aphiwe altijd vriendelijk en heel gastvrij. Grahamtown was voor ons ook een goede ontdekking, mooi plaatsje en er is veel te zien.

Reviewed Nov 9, 2025Loved the location. The room was amazing however, it lacked a few basics like hair conditioner and a full length mirror. Also the man who greeted me was very helpful. I asked about dinner and I was told they were fully booked. I said, one of the reasons I booked was because they had a restaurant. I was then told I could dine at 6.30 and it would be lamb kebabs- no choice, no starters, no desserts/ cheese. I noticed through the evening they only had 1 other person dining. The meat was tough, definitely not lamb, more like mutton, if it indeed was from a lamb/sheep. When the man came and reminded me breakfast finished at 10.00 am. Due to my time restraints, I said I wouldn’t have breakfast, he threw his arms in the air as if it was a massive catastrophe… I’d paid for breakfast, surely it was my choice to have/or not to have it. On the whole the place is beautiful, it just needs more attention to their guests need and wants, rather than guests fitting in with them.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2025The accommodation is comfortable. The decor lands itself to a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.
The dining tables are awkward because they’re put together and sometimes depending on type of guests you have, some people can inconsiderate by being loud and put their phones on speaker. This takes the peaceful during breakfast. I wish the staff can be more vigilant on calling out guests on that if the tables cannot be split.
