Security light then daylight coming in above head when in bed due to curtaining, not blinds. Fridge was noisy on and off during night. I asked about boiling some eggs and got a very half assisted answer, and didn't ever even meet Mike. Only met the domestic lady who gave me keys.

May He stay Blessed 😀🙏🕯️🛐 He even accommodate us long than expected as we were travelling late and even trusted us by leaving us with his whole apartment while attending other requirements of the day 😍🙌💕💞 I really salute him

Firstly we booked the apartment that was 43m2 and got the 18m2!!! Deceitful and dishonest. We were charged for the larger room. The room was clammy, dark and dingy. Wifi not working! The floors and counters with sticky, Never again! When we mentioned that this wasn't the unit we booked, we were told there is a couple in there and asked what we expected the person on duty to do! Unacceptable.

Window above bed had a short curtain which stood proud of the windowsill! Woke up with the sun shining directly into my eyes at 05:10 - not pleasant when on holiday. Curtain should be replaced with a roman blind fitted flush with the wall/surrounds. No two pin plugs or adapters provided.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025I liked the quietness of the place and its centrality. It is exceptionally clean, with daily room servicing. The bed is so comfortable, with fresh and clean linen. This property is well-equipped and features a table for those working trips. The breakfast only has cereal; however, a hot meal is available on request (extra charge). There is a good parking space. The host is helpful and very responsive.

Other than that everything was fine and the place was excellent. The lights were on even during load shedding. Cereals, sugar, milk, tea/ coffee were provided even though the place is self catering.

There was an area power outage and between the generator, gas stove and emergency lights, he made sure we were as comfortable as could be. Thank you Mike!!

Reviewed Mar 22, 2025I had an absolutely wonderful stay at 1 on Ross! Everything was immaculate, with the kind of attention to detail that makes a stay truly special. The bedding was luxurious – crisp percale with that soft Egyptian cotton feel – making for an incredibly comfortable and restful night. I also loved the thoughtful touches, like the cereal, coffee, and milk provided, which made the stay even more welcoming. Mike was an amazing host – friendly, helpful, and accommodating. He even made sure my daughter was comfortable on a sleeper couch, which was a huge plus. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend 1 on Ross to anyone visiting Grahamstown. A well-deserved 10/10!
