The location is great! Just in front of the lake it was excellent, peaceful location that feels secluded but is actually steps away from restaurants and shops and all the action in the old quarter. The owners were so helpful and welcoming. We will definitely come again

Just the stairs but it's fine.

Staff were really lovely and the room was nice and clean with good air-conditioning and facilities. The room is as pictured on booking. It's located in a really nice part of the city just by the lake and about 15-20 minutes walking from the old town.

The only negative thing I could say is that it doesn't have an elevator which wasn't a problem for us but something for travelers to be aware of. The owners son helped us to carry our bags up the stairs.

Everything exceptional. Tuang is the best host. The location of the place is in front of Hoan Kiem lake, in the heart of old quarter.

The location is superb. It is where the French quarter meets the Lake area. Great restaurants, malls and coffee houses all around. Too many to mention

The property was beautifully maintained and very clean. The room was large with a great balcony where you can watch the street below.

Lối vào hơi nhỏ, khó nhận ra lúc đầu tìm . Phòng mình thì ở tầng 5 và không có thang máy nên đi lên hơi mỏi chút, lối lên tâng nhỏ

Tolle Lage und super Service :) alle waren stets freundlich, die zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und insgesamt 3 Aufenthalte hier gehabt, jedes Mal alles super! :)

The location is absolutely perfect and the owners were super friendly. The bathroom was clean and convinient, and I liked the view from the balcony.

The only minus of the hotel was that the beds and pillows were not comfortable. The bed had a bunch of springs or something in the mattress.

まず、ロケーションが良いです。 水上人形劇のチケットの取り方や翌日の空港へのタクシー手配など相談したら、手際よくやってくださってとても助かりました。

バルコニーから湖が見えるかと思ったら、眺望はありませんでした。部屋へは階段なので重い荷物がある方は大変かもしれません。

als Ersatzunterkunft für eine Absage gebucht und vom freundlichem Eigentümer empfangen worden.Dieser wohnt im Vorderhaus welches direkt am See liegt.Ein sehr freundlicher (auch englischsprechender) Mensch.Das Hotel ist etwas versteckt durch seine rückwärtige Lage,aber jeder auf der Straße kennt es.Ich stand direkt davor.Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und ausreichend groß -das Bad nagelneu und superclean.Eine ideale Stadtunterkunft sehr zentral gelegen mit sehr hilfsbereitem Eigentümer. Location is excellent, biggest asset of the place; Tuan is awesome he lets us leave our bags before checking in. We got the room at the top, yes long stairs but we were well aware and didn’t mind the extra exercise :) We did good use of the natural air coming from the balcony and big windows even though air conditioning is available. Another plus, the property is family owned.

Loved the location - who wouldn’t? T Home Balcony is right on Hoan Kiem lake so one gets the long north-south view across the lake as you come and go. Very comfortable bed (had a luxurious topper), great bathroom (that gleamed) and such gracious hosts, rounded out an excellent Hanoi stay. We also appreciated that any cleaning products used were not highly scented. (So often, this is used to mask bad smells - obviously not needed here). Enjoyed having the balcony too. It would be our privilege to stay here again. Highly recommend Tuan’s place.

Nous avons sejourner dans ce lieu , hyper bien situé au tour du lac hoan kiem, a 15 min de train street, a 5 minute de vieux quartier animer, juste en bas des super glace. Y a qu’a traverser la rue pour le cours de thi chi le matin a 6h00. Acceuil super, chambre tres propre et lit tres confortable contrairement a d autres avis.que nous avons vu..

Zentrale Lage

T Home Balcony is nearly perfect. Location is practically next to Hoan Kiem Lake. There is a laundry facility, kitchen with microwave, bottled water available every day, snacks, mini-fridge in rooms, and great wi-fi. No breakfast is provided but there are restaurants and shops next to and all around the hotel. Everything in the room was clean, including the bathroom. Tuan, the host, was very helpful and nice. He and his son took my big 30 kg luggage up all the stairs. First day, I stayed on 2nd floor. After that, I moved to 4th floor, which I liked even better. For the first time, I stayed at a hotel with a specified quiet time, which began at 10 pm. Most travelers would appreciate that. The day I left, Tuan helped me get a Grab driver because I was having a hard time. I look forward to going back to Vietnam and staying at T Home Balcony again in a few months.

Grab and GPS are not always accurate. It would be easier for travelers like me to find the hotel if there was a big sign at the entrance of the building, with 'T Home Balcony' on it. On Booking.com, there happens to be a photo of the entrance, among several other photos for each type of room; but it is not clear. So, I hope the photo I took and attached to my review will help those who read it. The small entrance is next to the green Spatisserie Coffee shop, on the right side, and behind the guy in the white tee shirt.

De locatie vlakbij het meer en net uit de mega drukte was perfect. Vanuit deze homestay kun je heerlijk de stad verkennen. De eigenaar is ook erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, hij sjouwde onze tassen naar boven!

Posizione ottima vicino al lago e comoda per accedere alle principali attrazioni turistiche a piedi. Persone molto accoglienti e disponibili ci hanno permesso di depositare il bagaglio.

Quando siamo arrivati nn sapevamo se fosse il posto giusto.. non c'è alcuna scritta che indichi dall'esterno che si tratti di una guest house...

The property is in a fantastic location – just in front of the lake, near the Old Quarter, and the bus station. Everything you need is nearby. The host was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. The place was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Room was clean and great location! Don’t be put off by the alley way and how busy the street is. The room is very nice and quiet for where it is.

Be mindful that there is no lift and there is an exercise group that blast music at 6am by the lake. But it’s very manageable.

The location of the hotel.is perfect, right at the lake. The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The room is nicely decorated and the bathroom is clean and modern.

A/C was “cool” but not COLD. Bathroom window would not close letting mosquitoes in.

It was real homestay. Tuan was hospitable. He met us at night, helped with the luggage, always in touch and ready to help. The house is located inside the courtyard, it was quiet. The bed does not creak, the mattress is good. Cleanliness, comfort, fresh repair, nice smell. Good internet. The location is great, close to everything, but not crowded and noisy.

There is a steep staircase here, like in an authentic Hanoi house, if you are not up for cardio exercises or have disabilities - it’s not your choice.

Perfect location by the lake. Very comfortable room with balcony. I stayed for 3 weeks and my room was cleaned weekly with fresh sheets and towels. It was very convenient to do laundry. Tuan was a great host, always very responsive. He organised pick up and drop off to the airport which was very much appreciated. As a female solo traveler I always felt safe in Tuan's home and in Hanoi.

This place is a bargain!! I'm surprised it was still available as I only booked it 2 days ahead of staying in Hanoi. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. I also met his lovely wife. The location was perfect and I wish I could have stayed there for longer. My flat was on the second floor, very convenient. The flat had everything I need to feel comfortable.

Excellent location. Very friendly owner. Uncomplicated check-in and check-out. Clean and comfortable room with a couch and a balcony. I love it, others might not: Narrow staircase to get to the room.

Since there is no shower curtain or wall, one needs to clean the bathroom and toilet after taking a shower. Toll for cleaning is available.

It is in a very central and good location, the room was clean, the beds are very comfortable. The host was very nice and helpful. I would gladly recommend this accomodation to anybody (who is up to climb some stairs), we had a really good time here!

If you cannot do stairs note there is no elevator and only one bedroom per floor.

Great location, lovely host, they help you with the luggages since we where at the 6th floor no elevator, for us it is not a problem, but people who jave mobility problems should ask for an appartement on the lower levels. All good.

The location is spot on. Across the road from Ho Hoan Kiem andOld Quarter is your backyard this is central as you'd want. Surprisingly quiet due to it next right next the the main road along the pond just down a short passage. We were on the 6th floor so view was good I could just see and hear the exercise groups in the mornings. Would come back.

There's no elevator and we were on the top floor (worst case scenario) so if you don't like stairs you might have a be a little winded getting upstairs. The have this electric crane that can help get your luggage up. The son was very helpful getting our luggage up and down from the 6th floor.

All you needed for a one night stay in city center

Don’t look any further! Recommend staying at T Home Balcony. Excellent location, rooms are in great condition (personally thought the room was better than the photos look), we also had a late 1am check in but our host was really accommodating and easy to communicate with.

The only minus - no elevator and the stairs are steep (my room on the 4th floor). But the owner was so kind to help me to bring luggage there, so no problem :).

We had a nice stay at T Home Balcony. Our host was very friendly and really made sure that we were comfortable throughout our stay. The room is nice, as pictured online. The AC was cold and the showers are hot (make sure to turn on the hot water button). You can sometimes hear noise from the stairway or outside but I am a light sleeper and thought it was okay with ear plugs. My one suggestion would be a smaller pillow, but other than that, we were pleased with our stay! Plus, we were often asked in Vietnam (sometimes aggressively) to leave a review; so the fact that our host did not ask us makes me even happier to leave this one.
