Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Empire City has many affordable homestay options and is suitable for short stays. Staying for two or three days would be okay, especially for those looking for a budget-friendly place.
The parking was horrible, and the unit was not easy to find because there are so many buildings and blocks within Empire City, it's not easy for first timer.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026It was big and spacious. 3 comfortable beds anf clean. Toilet was also clean. I would recommend this Loft especially if u are staying with 5-6 friends. Check in system is the best. No access card, no keys. Works for me
The toilet and bathroom was a bit small but its ok. Parking was a bit confusing. But manageable. TV would be better than the projetor.

We booked this apartment for a get together with my friends over the weekend for 1 night. But ends up there where no electric from 1AM to 7AM which defeats the whole purpose of 1 night stay. We requested the staff to give another room to compensate. However, in return what we got was 2 separate studio rooms which was at two different floors. BRO! We would have stayed in our hostel if we wanted to stay separately. And the compensated room was just enough for the bed. The room we actually booked was a loft apartment, but we wasn't even get to set foot in that room. Therefore, this stay was a total disaster and waste of money.

The location was hard to find, the host gave the wrong password to the unit, the entire unit was stinking of bad drainage, the toilet sink gets flooded that we had to brush our teeth at the kitchen sink, the toilet door upstairs can't be locked while the toilet on the ground floor can't be used. The floorboard was chipped across the stairs and the entire ground floor so we had to tip toe around to make sure we don't cut ourselves. The corridor at the entrance to the room was flooded. The bedsheets were dusty and the mattresses weren't comfortable at all. I can't even find one thing that I could actually say was decent in that unit. EVERYTHING WAS JUST ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. It is nothing like the pictures they have posted. It was so bad that we cancelled the stay that night itself and moved to another place.

I thought from the other reviews that I would be getting an exceptionally clean place but this wasn’t the case - the corners of the place are dirty and the place has just not been maintained properly. It’s not the worst place so if you’re wanting to have a budget stay - then it’s fine but adjust your expectations to that. It was difficult for any grab drivers to find the entrance to the place as it’s unnecessarily convoluted. The beds weren’t comfortable and there was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms (which when you arrive at night was not ideal at all). The cleaning looks rushed and I don’t think the cleaners have bothered too much and I’m thinking the other reviews are just because air bnbs in Kuala Lumpur are not that great and so people have adjusted to that.

Reviewed Mar 29, 2026房间隔壁是垃圾房，整屋子都是垃圾的臭酸味。 马桶的排泄物需要三四轮才能排出干净。 冲凉时流走的水让排水沟的臭酸气味弥漫整个厕所甚至整屋子。 冷气遥控不知去向，跟房主反应了也得不到处理。 入住前需要通过私人户口收取200元定金否则不得入住，如果在订购前知道需要这个操作，这样我并不会订购。

The property is good but the management needs to do more work on the room. All the furniture are seems very old and no any decorations at all. Spend some money to make the unit better. Quite hard to find the property to check in. Also dont have much choice to find restaurant.

The system charged an extra RM90 for the cleaning fee, but the place was not clean at all. I even had to sweep the floor when we arrived. We also had to throw the rubbish away by ourselves, which doesn't seem fair with the cleaning fee paid. In addition, the location was very hard to find. The Grab driver dropped me nearby, and when I asked security for help, everyone directed me in different directions, very confusing.

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026Checked in on the 20/10. The upstairs toilet sink was clogged with water. How can they have claimed to have just cleaned the room. After that we had a shower and the toilet floor was flooded. We were told there were no other units of the same size to change to. That night the unit floor had more than 10 cockroaches running around. We changed to a smaller unit the next day and was told that it was the same price but i have screenshots of price offered which was cheaper. We were also told unit had netflix as i have young children ,the next day we found that the unit did not have netflix.

非常难找到entrance, owner给的指使很不清楚，我绕了几圈，问了security才可以找到entrance,搭grab不方便，因为不能直接到lobby,需要走路，走很远，grab也不要带你去lobby 房间很多control 按不到，床有蟑螂，很肮脏 Deposit 要一个星期了，还没进refund
