No toilet upstairs where all the living area is All apartments around it are same so wasnt easy to find and very long instructions. We arrived on freezing cold chch stay and couldnt get in and ultimately found out after waiting in cold for ages that the code lock was not working. Plus we thought we might of had wrong apartment so asked forca photo and we were not sent the front door picture but another door so we wrongly thought we were in the wrong place while it was raining and no shelter for bags …. Felt me deserved something but the most we got was a later checkout

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026central city chc is all airbnb's now. no atmosphere at all. no families. no homeless people. no druggies. no traffic. just a developers dream of cookie cutter money makers. having said that. i happen to love it. there are things that chc have done right in the rebuild. the stadium is amazing. riverside is amazing. the rolleston to city highway is amazing.
The deposit. No mention of it anywhere. you put the whole thing on afterpay, and then they want hundreds and hundreds of dollars cash or we dont get the room. they call it a "credit card reserve". but yeah, the money goes out. build it in to the price like every one else does. dont take money out. you have the card number. thats all you need. live in the now man.

It is spotlessly clean and the communication with the hosts is some of the best I've had in 30 years of business travel. Very highly recommended

Parking is in the middle of the complex not connected to the actual house itself and is not undercover so not ideal when raining. The rooms and the wardrobes downstairs are not very big so trying to put away larger luggages can be abit of a challenge.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2025Absolutely beautiful apartment, right in the centre of town. A short walk to the playground & Avon river, shops, pubs & restaurants and tram station. We really loved it here. Felt like everything was catered for, but would have loved the heaters to be going when we arrived, being from QLD we found it really cold at first. But once we cranked the heaters up the place was lovely and cozy. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks so much

The pillows! They're are all the same size, very thick and firm and were very uncomfortable for us. A few different pillow sizes would be good.please . Everything else was lovely thank you.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2024From booking originally to leaving the room- the customer service was exceptional and responsive. They emailed all the codes through prior to have them, told be exactly where I can park the car, easy location and access to Chrischurch- walked around alot from the apartment. LOVED the welcome gift of Tim Tams. Quality appliances, crockery, furniture and bedding made the stay all that much better, and one of the few places in my trip I will always return too, and highly recommend to others. Had a little office nook- loved the outlay of the apartment.
Unfortunately Christchurch is still building- so be aware when booking ANY accomodation there will be contruction of building and roadworks.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2024Super clean, good quality linen, well equipped kitchen. Close to the city. Two bathrooms are great. Nice touch with milk and Tim Tams in the fridge. Apartment also got sun and had a carpark. Quiet with double glazing. 5mins walk to Tram Station.
Only one thing, I wish there was a toilet/powder room upstairs.

The unit needs some work as the dishwasher and refrigerator both leak small amounts of water. This can not only be dangerous to guests but can also damage unit long term. Also the shower in the larger bathroom has grout breasking away between the tiles.
