Loved the rooms including downstairs and bedroom. Liked the little extra's like fresh milk, lovely biscuits and water in fridge.

The air conditioning was very cold but after speaking to the staff they changed it and it was perfect.

One of the nicest places I have stayed! Staff could not do more for me and my daughter! So cosy and very clean! Nothing was any trouble! Would definitely stay again! So close to Peppa pig world which is where we were going the next day ☺️

Room was well appointed with a rather clever quadrant shaped toilet/shower which both made that quite roomy and left more space in the bedroom. A small, movement actuated light was useful for nocturnal visits. A fridge with (barely enough) fresh milk was appreciated, as was a proper coffee machine and a selection of sachets. There was a good choice for breakfast.

Our room faced directly onto a main road and, while the noise was well damped by the glazing, anyone walking past could have seen straight into the room. There was a wide collection of obscure teas but a shortage of normal black tea,

Uitstekende ligging op loopafstand van het centrum van Romsey. Ruime parkeergelegenheid, prima kamer met gratis water in de koelkast. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en een goede keuken, waarbij rekening wordt gehouden met allergenen.

Als er één ding is wat zou kunnen worden verbeterd, dan is dat de kamers voorzien van airco. Buiten dat hadden wij niets op de accommodatie aan te merken.

The room and bathroom shower size were very roomy. Breakfast is one of the best I've had. We didn't have dinner here but the bar area was welcoming and the outside seating lovely in the sunshine

Lage des Biergartens leider an einer sehr befahrenen Straße. Bei großer Hitze wäre es gut, man könnte die Fenster zum Hinterhof ganz öffnen. In Zeiten des Klimawandels hätten wir uns über eine Klimaanlage gefreut.

Good location , walking distance of Romsey town centre. Nice food , good outdoor space. The room was pleasant nice touches like slippers and his and her robes . Our shower filled up the base , plug hole needed unblocking , water was slow to drain away . Very hot in the room . We thought we had booked room with aircon but this was not the case just a small fan but overall the room was spacious and pleasant with coffee maker and water , biscuits and tea plus toiletries

Pillows worn out, very uncomfortable. Bedside cabinet had tablets left by previous guests in drawer. FIRE ESCAPE DOOR OUTSIDE ROOM WAS LOCKED. TOTALLY ILLEGAL.

- Location next to the river with a short walk to the town centre was excellent - Facilities were good with plenty of space to relax - good outdoor area - room staff were very helpfull

- Service at the bar was 'hit and miss'; had to wait most of the time for barman to appear - Breakfast options and service could have been better - Lunch service was very slow; esecially as th erestaurant was almost empty - Room expensive for its size - Food expensive for average variety and quality

Location was good but it did mean you were on a busy road … lovely rooms … comfy bed … hot shower with shampoo etc inc … kettle with coffee/ tea in room … breakfast was delicious … free parking

Some of the rooms did not have air conditioning although there was a fan and we also experienced noise from either other guests or residential households near by … both early morning and late at night

Location convenient for our commitments in Romsey. Comfortable room and good breakfast. We’ve stayed before and will probably stay again next time we’re in Romsey. Nice touch with the complimentary drinks vouchers and shortbread.

It’s a tad expensive for what is essentially a pub with rooms and no aircon. Shame about the broken garden furniture dumped outside our window.

This room overlooks car park with lights. Thick curtains but in the heat with no air con only little desk fan provided, heat was unbearable and made me feel very unwell

We were there in an unbelievably hot spell so room was baking. The building really held the heat in and was difficult to cool it down.

The small touches, water in the room, great toiletries and biscuits. A fan for the hot weather, even an umbrella in case it rained. I was with my daughter celebrating leaving nursery and they added balloons to our table at dinner. There was fresh milk bottled in the room for us too perhaps knowing I had a young child with me. Black out blinds in the room.

Bed was a little hard for my liking but still had a good sleep.

Everything… the pub and the grounds were lovely. Our hotel room was fantastic. The little extras you’re given in the room, from beautiful bathroom toiletries, fresh milk in the fridge to go with your coffee/tea, delightful New Forest short bread biscuits as well as a free drinks token to be used in the Bar if you so wish 😃 all add to those finer touches. Great choice of food for breakfast, which was delicious. Oh, and a great location with plenty of parking.

The room was extremely hot, but that’s not the hotels fault, the temperatures we are having here in the UK is not the norm. There was a fan in the room, which helped but being on the ground floor we were reluctant to have the windows open throughout the night whilst we were sleeping.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Great selection of extras like the toiletries and refreshments including fresh milk in the mini fridge. There was a fan in the room but it wasn’t very effective in the extreme heat we’ve been experiencing. The breakfast was really lovely and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Our room was gorgeous n so comfortable, the food was absolutely FANTASTIC! The staff were so friendly and always very happy to help, even on the passing they were so wonderful! Atmosphere was chill which complimented the local historic area! The BED was thee best part! Best nights sleep EVER!! 😴 💤 😃 😊

Brilliant location near the river test. Lovely decoration and layout. Amazing attention to detail with the room. Proper bottled milk, great coffee maker, posh shortbread, and even tokens for free drinks at the bar. Luxury at a good price 😃

We were in an Indulgence room and loved it. Nespresso coffees incl decaf, robes, slippers, biscuits.... oat milk when I asked :) Delicious cooked breakfast and cereals/toppings, yog.... Good evening meal booked too. Really nice staff, very welcoming. And it's almost next to the river and a quiet path through to the Abbey and park so a lovely pre breakfast amble. Huge car park. Perfectly placed for several National Trust properties. Amazing.

The room was well appointed and the air conditioning was very welcome. We did not experience the dinner (we attended a wedding) but the full English breakfast was superb. The members of staff were very friendly and helpful.

The small garden at the rear of the pub needs some attention as it has become a dumping ground for sun loungers.

The rooms were extremely dusty , a good months worth of cobwebs etc all around the ceilings .. we have stayed here over 20 times and had 4 rooms this time with family so was disappointed.. we did bring this to the attention of the staff who did rectify straight away , but seriously this was extreme. And was not just a little .

Room was very well appointed. Bathroom was good size with great shower and immaculately clean. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Although the pub is on a busy road there is a nice river walk alongside The Test and the town centre is within walking distance, taking in the nice park on the way.

Soundproofing wasn’t brilliant. There was some noise from a staff storage area late evening and early in the morning, however it didn’t disrupt us too much.

Very impressed with the decor and cleanliness. Close to the river Test for a walk into Romsey. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order.

The only down side was it was on a busy road.

It was a beautiful pub with really friendly staff. The rooms were stylish with a cosy feeling. The pub was very active and had live music (the rooms were well insulated and we couldn’t hear anything) the restaurant served good food with amazing deserts. The bar had a good selection of craft lagers!!! We would recommend staying here. We would come again.

The only thing we didn’t like was the entrance to the accommodation was through the beer garden.

Issue (reported) in bathroom where the heated towel rail was broken (permanently switched to hottest setting). Bad timing as it was the hotest day of the year so the bathroom became a sauna

Breakfast had a wide variety of choices. The waitress was very attentive to all our needs. Our room was very clean. The bathroom a little hot but that was because the heated towel rail was on. A large fan was provided which was essential as weather was very hot.

Some more drawers to put eg underwear and socks

Die Ausstattung war sehr gut. Das Nachtlicht im Badezimmer hat mich begeistert. Es gab sogar einen kleinen Schirm im Zimmer ( sehr sommerliche Temperaturen wurde also nicht benötigt). Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Klasse. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Das Zimmer lag an einer vielbefahrenen Strasse und der Straßenlärm war trotz doppelter Fenster zu hören ( es lagen schon Ohrstöpsel auf dem Bett parat). Für eine Nacht war es ok - mehr wäre für uns nicht in Ordnung gewesen. Das Zimmer war klein.

Cracked crockery, food only passable, tables close together (eating dessert whilst smelling the next table’s fish). Very noisy ,could every word of a conversation from another room.
