The Straits Suites by Ciconia

Just what we needed after jumping around for 3 weeks! We wanted somewhere to relax, chill and just take a load off and this was the perfect place! A lovely bed, amazingly clean bathroom and room. There was a pool and it was near local restaurants and shops and laundry! Great communication with the host as well :D

Bien situado y rodeado de locales para comer. Aunque el entorno es muy "local" el interior es muy agradable. La habitación agradable y cómoda. Piscina sin servicio de toallas que no utilicé finalmente.

El hotel tiene como varias empresas que gestionan habitaciones. Por tanto en la recepción del hotel ni les aparecía la reserva. El operador contactó directamente con nosotros via Whatsap con indicaciones muy claras pero nosotros mismos tuvimos que ir a buscar y devolver la llave a un mueble situado en el parquing del edificio.

Really clean and updated room. I was surprised as the build seems a little old but the room was great. Good pool too

Wir hatten ein schönes , helles Zimmer mit kleiner Küchenzeile und großem Bad im 6. Stock. Großer, sauberer Pool auf dem Dach. Celine macht den Check in per WhatsApp auch für Ältere leicht und ist jederzeit für Fragen erreichbar. Die Lage ist gut. Fußläufig ist man in 15 Minuten am Roten Platz. Essen und kleine Supermärkte gibt es in direkter Umgebung.

Uns hat das Frühstück ein bisschen gefehlt was aber keinen Mangel darstellt.

La disponibilité de Céline, ses conseils et sa sympathie ( dans jamais la voir) l'emplacement dans un quartier populaire et tranquille, la grandeur et le confort de la chambre. Et bien sûr la superbe piscine sur le toit !

Il y a une cuisine, mais rien pour cuisiner... On peut quand même se faire le petit-déjeuner !

こちらのアパートメントは、コンパクトで綺麗で設備が新しくてとても使いやすかったです。 ロケーションも良く、街に行くにも便利な場所です。チェックインの仕方などの説明のやり取りも、大変分かりやすく親切に丁寧にしてもらいました。

Het ligt net buiten het centrum maar goed te belopen. Vooral 's avonds , dan loop je al snel op de avond markt autovrij .de kamer heeft een keukenblokje met magnetron koelkast en waterkoker. Het zwembad op de 23 st verdieping is een beetje treurig. Niet echt uitnodigend. Het is contact loos inchecken. Personeel is altijd bereikbaar via whatsapp. Goed geregeld.

Well located with many food shops and convenience stores around open to very late and short Grab rides to centre of town for M$2-3. The infinity pool on top of the block was well worth visiting. Pool towels are provided. Swimsuits can even be purchased from vending machines if needed.

The location, the design and cleanliness of the room with its amenities and very comfortable bed and the easy communication with the owner and the friendly and the helpful concierge staff of the hotel in which the private apartment is located. I loved the rooftop infinity pool as I do aquatics each day and could look out over Melaka. The street is full of restaurants, food courts, minimarts and therapeutic massage businesses, and it’s only a 10-15 minutes walk to most museums, landmarks, and Nyonya restaurants in the famous historical Jonkers Street area where you’ll also find the dock for the boat ride on Melaka’s river. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Aunque no es un problema propio del hospedaje sino de la gente que se hospedaba en ese momento, utilizamos la lavadora y secadora que hay y a los 10 minutos de empezar el ciclo de la secadora alguien sacó nuestra ropa toda mojada y la dejó en una estantería.

Muy bien ubicado. Cama cómoda y suficiente espacio para guardar las cosas. El gimnasio es pequeño pero hace el apaño. Las piscinas, estupendas y muy tranquilas. Es una zona tranquila con muchísimas opciones muy buenas para comer. Lo mejor, la dueña del apartamento: súper agradable, nos hizo estupendas recomendaciones para comer y hace todo el.proceso muy fácil. Volvería sin duda.

Creo que habría que mejorar la iluminación del baño.

The facilities in the room was all working well, the aircon was cold and the water pressure was strong. There was no odour from the bathroom which is good even after a four day stay.

The internet was slow and the TV was buffering very long despite connecting to our own hotspot. We couldn't enjoy any of the movies or shows provided on the TV as it was buffering for more than an hour.

Location is Great, with Many Restaurant Options, Massage Spa and places of Interest at a stone throw. Room is peaceful Quiet and has Pool View. Room is Spacious since it is in the Hotel Building with Rooftop Pool.

No Free Parking. The Comforter/Blanket has a little stench smell, needs washing. The Soap/Shampoo has No lather and can be better. A little dated but still Good!

This house is so perfect. Nothing to worry and worth to staying here. Very near to attractions place. We totally enjoyed. The house is so cozy, so comfortable, spacious, so clean and such a beautiful house. Very convenient to check in and check out. The owner is friendly too. Will definitely come again ✌🏻

Location excellent with many eateries and convenience store opposite and beside the hotel. Walking distance to shopping. Celine was very helpful and always on hand to help. Much appreciated.

Corridors had no air con so a bit stuffy.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, , lovely and great first impression of accomodation. Everything about the it was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Liked: the view and the location. Dislike: pool closed at 8pm Was told couldnt bring outside food to pool deck but they weren't offering to sell food either.

Room had a balcony.

Very hard to find and extremely difficult to get the keys to get into the apartment. L had to contact the owner many times just to get in. No hot water. I would never stay there again as too much hassle to get in. Also cupboards locked and floor was being painted.

Location was very convenient with so many restaurants and shops nearby. 10 minutes distance to main tourist attractions is walk able. The host is very attentive and helpful - thank you, Celine, for a nice holiday in amazing Malakka :)

The communication with our host, Celine, was excellent throughout our stay. A minor problem was quickly rectified and she also suggested some nice places to eat. The room was clean with comfortable beds. We loved the big shower! The pool was nice and we spent a lot of time enjoying the pool side view.

There was nothing worth mentioning that we didn’t like.

The pool on the roof looked nice The place is not too far away from the touristic center of town. Shops and restaurants are nearby. Communication with the host was easy and friendly via WhatsApp.

At first after we arrived the room was not cleaned well but after we told the host someone came a few hours later to clean again. The place is not serviced daily what is okay but we didn't know... So you gotta take your trash out etc by yourself. One towel for a few nights is not ideal... Aircon is a bit noisy and old.

Location is quite good, within 15 min of walking to Dutch Square. The room itself is small but everything works perfectly fine. Overall a decent accommodation for the price and host is very responsive and helpful.

The room is located in a high rise building that has seen better times - general condition is old and a renovation is overdue. The pool is ok to use and seems to be 25m although there is no official confirmation. The water quality could be a bit better, i.e. it is a bit cloudy. Also, check-in procedure is a bit weird since you have to go up to the carpark and retrieve the room key from a deposit box yourself. There seems to be a reception but only for actual hotel guests.

Comfortable beds, good aircon and access to the pool. Lobby and lift area very well presented. The staff were helpful and responded quickly to all messages.

The corridor was jaded. Some rooms were being renovated and some were boarded over. The bathroom fan was so noisy, like an aircraft engine. The local area was not so appealing.

The location was great. Next to the Suites building, there were many good cheap restaurants, stores, laundry places and other services you might need. 2 big shopping centers just around the corner. Main tourist attractions in walkable distance. The area felt safe even at night time. There is a really nice swimming pool on the rooftop and a small basic gym on the 3rd floor. No cleanliness issues. AC worked well. AC wasn't the most silent but not unbearably noisy. Communicating with the host was easy. It is a hotel where some of the rooms and suites are private AirBnB style accommodations without daily house service (like this one).

Few minor faults: The TV didn't show any normal tv channels properly and the Android TV in it was outdated. Many apps just said "the system you are operating is outdated and does not support the app anymore". Or something like that when trying to use it. I thought there was a kitchen, but there was only a mini fridge, microwave and kettle. No stove. The bathroom had a common problem for Southeast Asia. It did not dry very well and because of that there were starting marks of moisture issues. Not bad, but it is going to need at least some deep cleaning soon before it gets smelly. The room wasn't soundproof, but thankfully there weren't any noisy neighbors. Overall I think these are only minor faults and it was great for the price.

Great location. Nice view from the room. Roof top pool was nice to chill, get away from the heat thanks to being a bit windy. Plenty of options to get food just near by.

Sometimes you had to wait for a long time for elevators, which is of course not no ones fault but take it into consideration if you need to be somewhere at precise time.

Everything is great! From the owner itself which always there for us whenever we wanted to ask anything. The bathroom was very clean. Another facility that I enjoy is the Swimming Pool. It has a very nice view of Malacca & it is very windy up there. It helps me to release tension & get rid of all the negative energy. Thank you so much for the great hospitality. I will repeat to stay at this suite again !

The contact person was very attentive and provided plenty of information, and the check-in process was very smooth. There are delicious restaurants opposite the hotel. The room was just the right size and quite comfortable to live in.
