Perfectly located to hike Sri Pada Nice place in the forest Since we couldn't take breakfast because we had planned very early start, the guy included dinner in the price instead of breakfast, very nice !
The guy spoke very few English, communicating was not easy
alles top top
The hotel is in a beautiful location surrounded by trees and the swimming pool was amazing. Rooms were comfortable. Very quiet location and enjoyed listening to birds.
We wanted a few extra hours added to our check out time as were planning to climb Adams Peak starting after 6 pm. The charge/hour for 5 hours exceeded the cost/night. If you are planning to climb Adam's peak and want to check out around 6PM, we suggest that you book two nights accommodation.

It's a wonderful place with its location, pool, large rooms, staff, and natural surroundings.
Thank you for the time we spent here with our friends. Swimming in the pool, delicious breakfast and dinner. Clean rooms and beautiful views right from the bed. Great staff who took care of us with love. We also visited the Buddha temple and a beautiful waterfall with ancistrus fish that nibbled on us while we were swimming, it was an experience. Thank you. God is infinitely loving.
Beautiful nature, run with care
We came here for Adams Peak and we were not disappointed. The staff here was SO attentive every step of the way. Asanka even dropped and picked us up from the start of Adams Peak trail. The food was delicious. We also did a Gem Tour to a traditional mine and the Ratnapura Gem market which was a completely new and interesting experience. There is a natural pool and streams to play in too. My son loved it here!
Everything was great
Realy nice lodge with natural pool, river-pool and a giant terrace for eating and activities. The Gem-tour with shanuka is awesome, he is knowledged and fulfils every wish.
Food ordering was a little bit difficult
It's 40min away from the main road inside of the forest. Nice Environment and beautiful atmosphere.
We loved the location - expect a 40min to 1 hour drive from Ratnapura. The location gives you the views, the quiet, the jungle & tea plantations in one. Fresh water swimming pool, river swim on your door step. Trip to a waterfall that we had all to ourselves. The little tiny village is surprisingly active when it's pilgrimage time up to Adams Peak. The hotel is also a fabulous location for walks/ hikes.
They are still doing work on the place. English isn't so great & watch out for payments interms of what you eat and what they charge for. Be specific about what you want to eat & they are willing, kind & able to cook you anything but cheaper to eat along village main road.
The staff was so friendly and accomodating that it felt like staying at a friends place. We got a tour of all of their garden and got their help to visit 2 waterfalls! (The one right next to the lodge and the one 4 kilometers away). The food was also very tasty and served in large portions, so a big thank you to the kitchen staff aswel! Aside from the lodge we also took on the challenge of trying to reach Adams peak. We unfortunately didn't make it all the way (this side of the mountain has 11.000 steps), but we enjoyed the entire experience. Amazing views, some wild animals and we were completely alone the entire day due to it being off season. We would definitely recommend anyone to try to do Sri Pada off season.
You have a very good choice for breakfast and they serve it very attractive way. I like this place as there is a very nice stream in this property is very attractive and you can have a Barth in the stream while having a nice natural fish therapy to your feet,
Property is still under the construction and so it looks not very tidy as expected. Staff members are not trained well for the proper hospitality and customer care. Particularly they were unprofessional to answer phone call.
This is a lovely spot up in the hills at the start of the trail up Sri Pada. You can do the trail right from the house. Anushka the owner went out of his way to show us around, and was a fantastic host. He has a wonderful vision for the place. We dipped our feet in the river and had them nibbled by fish. And Anushka taught us how to play Carrom. A lot of fun! We ate a great and cheap dinner in the local village. It was a bit of a building site while we were there, as they were just finishing the second floor of the building, and some of the gardens too. When all finished I think it will be very nice.
There was a broken tuk-tuk leaking petrol parked right outside the bedrooms. We were getting headaches from the fumes, and had to ask them a couple of times before they moved it. Surprising for an eco-lodge that they were unaware of this being a problem. The electricity pylons ruin the perfect view of the jungle a little. The food is too pricey. But you can just eat in the local village instead.
Cons: Still unfinished, restaurant in the hotel is quite expensive for the location. I would prefere go elsewhere. Pros: Great place when you are planing to go to the Sri Pada/Adams Peak. Advise: the hike to the top will take around 4:30h if you are in a good condition. But it’s a serious hike!
Poor communication and the staff are not supportive . Views are breathtaking,
- location and the tranquillity of the property - view from the room and the bathroom - staff (a big THANK YOU to Asanka, one of the nicest hotel managers)
- balcony not finished (no protective fence) and, since travelling with a small child, the sliding doors had to stay closed at all times - no water pressure in the bathroom meaning that the sink could not be used and showering took forever (actually a good thing, considering the view from the bathroom window) - however tasty, the meals were at least double in price compared to the (limited) local options
The location was far away from the busy cities and tourists. Our view from our bedroom window was spectacular. A perfect hideaway located in the hills, ideal for hikers. The base of Adams peak is within walking distance. One of the most spectacular waterfalls 4km away and jungle nature reserve surrounds the property. The meals are divine!! Only the best traditional Sri Lankan meals are served for breakfast and dinner.
A little tricky to locate. The exterior of the property is still in construction. However, the rock pool is going to be beautiful when finished. We had limited access to wifi which I’m sure is only a temporary issue.
The staff is super, the location is perfect. A bit of an adventure to get there and we love that. Beautiful garden with birds and monkeys nearby. The food is amazing and the portions huge. The nearby waterfall is a must go. We highly recommend the eco lodge to other travelers.
No wifi, and that's all not too bad because you want to enjoy the scenery.
Large, comfortable rooms with beautiful views over the surrounding mountains.
Nothing
Very nice place! Fresh and clean rooms. Helpful stuff, good location. Really good place to stay before peak journey
Location is great. Room & bathroom are clean
Poorest customer care service with mismanagement .There were unable to provide basic requirements such as electricity & water.
I really loved the location. It's the closest hotel to stay for someone who's planing to climb Adams Peak from the Rathnapura side. Literally only 200m away from the entrance. The tea estate in the front is breathtaking and has a wonderful morning view. I highly recommend this hotel.
Although the hotel is amazing I wouldn't say the same for the food. It was not as good as we expected. We ordered fried rice and kottu but they came only with a chilli paste. I Expected at least a single curry but the rice and the kottu tasted really good.
All good
The location, comfy spacious room and bathroom and authentic sri lankan food. And we stayed for our honeymoon they even arranged us a candle light dinner as a surprise ☺️.. They also arranged a prompt surprise to our driver within 30 minutes as we arrived with just a message on booking.com
Beautiful and conveniet location for Adams Peak.
A bit hard to get there :)
Great location for tackling the Adams peak from the non touristy side! The staff were very helpful and friendly, went out of their way to get us everything we needed.
Location was great. surrounded by mountains. all the meals were delicious and the staff was super friendly. specially Asanka was a great guy and he was much supportive.
bathrooms were not that clean, there was a scary spider too. one side of the bathroom door handle was broken . one of the fans in our rooms was not working .
The location is perfect if you wanna do the tougher ascend of Sri Pada. The staff was very helpfull and understanding, as I checked out later than allowed because I was still coming down the Mountain Road at 11. Delicious mountain water from the tap is much better than the clorinated stuff down South.
A mesh screen in front of a window to let some air in at night would go a long way. The bathroom door has just a keyhole and not a handle. This ment musquitos could enter the room through the bathroom.
The most delicious coconut pancakes I've had! The roti, dhal, sambal, chutney also were exceptionally tasty and beautifully prepared and presented. Also a very peaceful, open sided restaurant with mountain views to eat in.
The location and surroundings where beatifull
The staff couldnt speak english and they booked another couple in our room. They had to explain it to us using google translate which was very difficult, also 10 USD pp for dinner was very overpriced for what you get. On top of thay they charged us 10 USD too much for breakfast, which was already overpriced
