Galata Calm Tale Hotel

We loved the vintage vibe of the room with a modern touch. Everything was clean and nice. Great shower and useful things such as kettle, hairdryer. We appreciated the cleaning service and getting fresh coffee and water every day. The staff was really helpful and kind.

There is not much to complain about. The stairs were a bit steep and could be dangerous for someone with limited movement ability. Otherwise, everything was fine.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It has a good location, comfortable room, and, above all, very friendly and welcoming staff. A special mention goes to Salma, the receptionist, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. She gave me some great tips that made my stay even more enjoyable and was always willing to help whenever I needed anything. Looking forward to come back soon.

The only thing I missed in the room was a sofa or comfortable chair. It would also be great to have some furniture on the balcony, as it would make it even nicer to sit and relax there.

Great value for money, really comfy bed and bathrooms. Good location near to the metro, plenty of restaurants and cafes etc.

Street noise could be a bit loud but I think that’s inevitable in Istanbul.

крутой маленький отель в отличном расположении, персонал очень отзывчивый, проблем не возникало, приехали рано - нас сразу заселили. до метро 10 минут пешком в гору) рядом прекрасная пекарня где подают фантастические пиде, причем мы уезжали в 5-40 утра - нам оперативно испекли пиде с собой на завтрак - просто супер. до парома на азиатскую сторону 10 минут медленным шагом. мы жили на последнем этаже- лестница на самом деле очень крутая.

сложно тут что-то улучшить. все хорошо единственное - хорошо б почистить фильтры кондиционеров в номерах - на них просто гигантские скопления пыли и грязи

Quick communication before and during my stay. Really friendly desk staff. Clean and comfortable. Awesome location, such a great base for exploring. Was close enough that I could walk across the bridge and visit the grand bazaar by foot.

Our room was so large, had a beautiful bathroom with great water pressure and a separate bed for our third guest (sometimes they just give us a couch) and the staff were so friendly. 4 min walk from the light rail.

Poderia ter um melhor impermeabilização das janelas para entrada de luz da rua e sonorização.

This was a lovely stay in the perfect location. It’s central and walking distance to public transport. The people working at reception were very helpful and available anytime. The rooms were clean and modern.

El personal del hotel es encantador y super amable. Nos ayudaron con la gestión de traslados de y al aeropuerto, y estuvieron pendientes de todo. La habitación estaba fenomenal, y la ubicación (a unos minutos andando del puerto de Galata) era justo lo que necesitábamos. No es un hotel con grandes lujos, más bien lo contrario, pero cumple perfectamente.

We had a wonderful stay at Galata Calm Tale Hotel in Istanbul and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The location is absolutely perfect – within easy walking distance of all the main attractions, while still being peaceful and quiet at night. After busy days exploring Istanbul, it was lovely to return to such a calm and comfortable place. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we enjoyed restful, quiet nights throughout our stay. The hotel is clean, welcoming, and has a warm atmosphere that makes you feel at home. A special thank you to Yasid and the entire reception team. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional, always ready to assist with a smile and make our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. De locatie is goed. Daar werkt een meid uit Egypte heel aardig en behulpzaam.

De hygiëne was niet zo goed. De kamers ruimte was te krap. Onze kamer was onder de grond dus in de kelder. Een hele nacht geen stroom gehad.

Останавливались на одну ночь. В целом неплохо за эти деньги, но было очень много нюансов.

Приехали чуть позже 14 часов, номер не был готов. Код от двери никто не прислал заранее, пришлось ждать на улице, просить код в чате. Сказали, что номер будет готов только к 15:30. Заселили в итоге только в 16:00. После прогулки вернулись ближе к 12 часам ночи, снова не смогли попасть в отель, входная дверь закрыта, код не срабатывал, долго стучались, никто не открывал, видимого никого из персонала внутри не было. Провели на улице около часа. Телефон с интернетом у нас сел, пришлось искать где зарядить телефон, снова писать в чат. Пришел парень с ключом, сообщил, что нет электричества, поэтому не работает код. Сказал, что мы должны быть счастливы, что вообще можем попасть в номер. В номере не было горячей воды ко всему прочему, видимо это связано с отсутствием электричества. В общем, за один день слишком много приключений с отелем, чтобы поставить хорошую оценку. Если бы нам заранее прислали код от двери, каким-то образом позаботились о том, чтобы гости в ночи могли попасть внутрь, было бы не так обидно, но в нашем случае мы чувствовали, что всем все равно.

Дякуємо Galata Calm Hotel за чудовий прийом! Зупинялися на одну ніч і залишилися дуже задоволені проживанням. Затишні номери готеля, чудове розташування, поруч із Galata Port, привітний та уважний персонал. Атмосфера готелю сприяє комфортному відпочинку, навіть під час короткого перебування. Сподіваємося повернутися до вас знову, під час наступного візиту до Стамбула.

Прекрасное соотношение цена- качество. Чисто. Удобные кровати. Нас было 4ро и для ночевки нам предоставили номер, где было 2 комнатки. Да, небольшие, но вполне комфортные. В номере есть фен, чайник, холодильник. За данную цену- вполне прекрасно!

Не ждите вид. Из окна что-то жуткое просматривается. Но зато расположение в нескольких минутах от Истикляль и минут 5 до Галатапорта. Разве что ступеньки с первого этажа на второй. Был бы лифт- и тогда топ!

Avevamo una stanza al piano interrato, molto umido, non molto pulito, e la porta non si chiudeva

Las habitaciones son muy bonitas pero nos tocó estar en el sótano y en las habitaciones hay MUCHA HUMEDAD. De verdad no es exageración, huele fuerte a humedad y la ropa está húmeda. Debería haber algo para eliminarla.

room decor was good, it was clean (except for the air quality), location is very good. Based on other reviews, I would stay here again, but not book the economy room which was in the basement and was very damp and musty smelling.

we got the economy room which turned out to be a basement room. it smelled very damp and musty. there was a window, which opened directly onto the street, so it would be a bad idea to leave it open while away. the air conditoner did a decent job in dehumidifier mode for the bedroom, but the bathrooms didn't dry out, and always smelled. If you must stay here, run the air conditioner in dehumidifier mode at all times. They should either install much better ventilation or stop renting out these basement rooms at all.

A localização era excelente. Super perto do elétrico que te leva diretamente a Sultanahmet e a 5 minutos da Torre Galata. Os funcionários era muito prestáveis e o quarto tinha tudo incluindo chá, café e água.

A sanita tinha uma fuga de água e deixava o chão da casa de banho molhado. O chuveiro também deitava água por todo o lado e molhava a casa de banho. De resto era excelente e voltaríamos.

The location and room was absolutely amazing value for money but the staff were so helpful and accommodating i genuinely cannot recommend this place enough everyone goes above and beyond to help you have the best stay possible I really appreciated it and will be rebooking here again :)

Es lag für uns perfekt. Konnten alle was wir sehen wollten fußläufig oder per öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was also a good size, and clean towels were supplied every day. The hotel is conveniently located to get to sites on the 'European side' of the city.

The shower sprayed water all over the bathroom, and leaked water from the shower cubicle onto the floor beside the toilet. Also, with the sink tap hot water came out as a dribble, and there was no plug for the sink. On the last day of our stay there was no hot water for a shower.

Kind and helpful staff, great location, quiet surroundings despite being in a crowded neighborhood, spacious room, comfortable beds, mini fridge, cups, coffee, tea, sugar, water kettle, and clean linens. Everything was excellent.

One small thing to note is that the stairs leading to the rooms are very steep and narrow, so if you have large luggage or limited mobility, keep that in mind.

Нам ОЧЕНЬ понравилось в отеле! Начнем с персонала, ведь он ЛИЦО отеля! Очень гостеприимные молодые люди. Встретили доброжелательно, бесплатно повысили категорию номера, хоть мы останавливались всего на 1 ночь , к нам отнеслись как к ВАЖНЫМ гостям и предоставили всё на высшем уровне! Сам отель радует чистотой, комфортом, колоритом, дизайном, удобством расположения - рядом остановка трамвая, целый квартал с вкусными кебабными, кондитерскими(, с демократичными ценами), банками( обмен валюты). Будем рекомендовать данный отель для остановки в Стамбуле всем хорошим людям.

The location was perfect-- just a few minutes' walk from the Golden Horn in Galata, near Galata Tower and just a few minutes from great restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The room was also a great value! It had a mini fridge and a small desk, with basic amenities like water and coffee provided. The receptionist who checked me in was friendly.

The place was clean, but I didn't realize my room would be in the basement and the room was on the small side. I only saw someone at reception when I called them so I could check in, otherwise there no receptionist at the desk throughout the day.

Прекрасный вариант для бюджетных путешествий. В номерах всегда чисто, вежливый персонал, до одной из главных улиц Стамбула пешком 5 минут. Мы с подругой жили в самом бюджетном номере, который находится в подвале. Тем не менее, это никак не повлияло на качество проживания. Не было запахов, у нас в номере было большое окно, а с помощью кондиционера мы легко устанавливали комфортную температуру в любую погоду. А ещё в отеле живет котик Неко. Это прекрасный отель за свою цену!

Отличный отель на тихой улице. Но при этом все в шаговой доступности. До достопримечательностей можно дойти, рядом очень много кафе. Остановка в 2х минутах ходьбы (автобус и трамвай) Метро-5 минут. Очень чисто, хороший ремонт. Уборка каждый день. Номера все после ремонта.

The room was clean and comfortable, great value for money. The receptionist Mohammed was very helpful- also they are very quick to reply to any messages which I really appreciated. It is in a great location close to the tram stop which was another plus

The room was very nice and exactly what we needed. We were mostly out during the day and used the room mainly for sleeping and a short rest in between, and for that it was perfect. The room was renovated, clean, and well taken care of, with everything we needed. The host was very kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made our stay even better.

The only small downsides were that the Wi-Fi signal in our room was weak (while it worked perfectly in our friends’ room) and the soundproofing was not great. However, we slept very well, so it didn’t really bother us.
