Rifai è stato un host meraviglioso! È stato sempre gentile con noi e disponibile ad accontentare le nostre richieste. Colazione eccezionale e molto abbondante Nota importante:la camera che abbiamo prenotato aveva due ventilatori e non aveva acqua calda, per noi che siamo state 7 notti ad fine Agosto non è stato assolutamente un problema, per la notte bastava un ventilatore e l'acqua calda non era necessaria vista la temperatura esterna. La posizione è ottima, praticamente sulla spiaggia, vicino a bar molto forniti. La stanza era molto pulita e ben attrezzata.

Wunderschõne Zimmer, nur paar Geh-Sekunden vom Stand entfernt. Wir konnten von unserer Terrasse selbst das Meer sehen. Was uns sehr gut gefallen hat, dass trotz des 3- Bett- Zimmers ein Raum etwas separiert war. Mehrere Steckdosen, viele Haken und Ablagemöglichkeiten, ein Kühlschrank, Moskitonetze, blitzsaubere Zimmer und eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage machten alles sehr komfortabel. Super war auch die Dusche mit hohem Wasserdruck! Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt!

We loved the nice place. The owner and the staff were very helpful and kind. The hotel was just next to the beach. Great proximity to restaurants & shopping areas!

Habitaciones muy espaciosas y cómodas. Muy buena limpieza y muy buena ubicación (pegado a la playa). Nos sorprendió gratamente el desayuno continental que nos prepararon; abundante y muy bueno.

No hay geles ni jabones de ducha; sería ideal si pudieran poner unos botes pequeños de gel y shampoo

Nuestra experiencia fue bastante mejorable. Reservamos una habitación en Booking donde indicaba claramente que tenía aire acondicionado, pero al llegar nos informaron de que la habitación estándar no incluía aire acondicionado y nos ofrecieron una habitación con ventilador. Recomendamos revisar bien este punto antes de reservar, ya que la información no coincidía con lo que aparecía en nuestra reserva. Con ventilador se puede dormir una o dos noches, especialmente si abres las ventanas para que entre algo de aire, pero no lo recomendamos si viajas en épocas de mucho calor o para estancias más largas. La habitación era sencilla y la cama doble estaba formada por dos colchones individuales juntos, algo que puede resultar incómodo por la separación en medio. Además, las sábanas y la funda de la almohada tenían bastante olor a humo, lo que hizo que la sensación de limpieza no fuera la esperada. El baño, en cambio, era amplio y fue uno de los puntos positivos de la estancia. El propietario no fue especialmente amable ni acogedor con nosotros, y la comunicación durante la estancia fue bastante incómoda. Para una estancia corta de una o dos noches puede ser una opción aceptable por el precio, pero recomendamos confirmar antes que la habitación tenga realmente aire acondicionado si es algo importante para vosotros.

Das Hotel liegt ruhig und dennoch in Strandnähe. Die Zimmer (triple room) sind groß, gut aufgeteilt und sauber. Air condition ist auch sehr angenehm.

Alles ist ziemlich spartanisch. Im Bad gibt es keine Seife, es gibt auch keine Tassen oder einen Wasserkocher, keine Ablage am Bett, die Bettdecken sind symbolisch und bereits älter. Handtücher sind auch älter. Fruehstueck im Hotel ist zwar günstig, lohnt aber nicht.

Buena ubicación y buenos servicios, personal super disponible y cercano. Tienen restaurante, organizan transporte y tienen servicio de lavandería. Por el resto muy bien, zona tranquila pero muy cerca de bares/ tiendas/ restaurantes. Aire acondicionado y agua caliente.

Cuidado si les pedís que laven la ropa blanca, a nosotras nos la devolvieron algunas prendas con manchas de suavizante

La struttura si trova a 3 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia, comoda, pulita e confortevole. L’accoglienza dello staff è stata impeccabile e ogni nostra richiesta è stata soddisfatta.

Amazing location, right on arugam beach! Room was a couple floors up so it was nice to sit out on the balcony in the humid evenings. The room also had a mini fridge which was really handy! Lovely owners, he helped us hire a scooter for the day at a really reasonable price.

Bathroom did have a funny smell at times but other than that nothing!

Het contact met de manager was erg fijn. Wij waren onze sleutel kwijtgeraakt en kregen direct een nieuwe. Ook was er een ontzettende lieve behulpzame man altijd op het terrein die ons ‘s avonds laat kon helpen.

We had a wonderful stay here. We even extended for a further 4 nights. It’s such a good location and the staff are so lovely and helpful. We will be back for sure!

Very good value for money, located in a good spot near the beach. It’s cheap so it was very simple, but what you would expect for the price. Staff were very friendly and helped with all requests we asked. Had a good fridge which was unexpected but a pleasant surprise.

There was no top sheet on the bed, with just a blanket each provided. The hot water system for the shower can be a little difficult to work out, instructions on how it works could be helpful but if we had asked then they would’ve told us how. Again, for the price it was a good stay and what you expect.

I had a wonderful stay here. The owner and his team went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and the rooms were spotlessly clean and tidy. Being just a short walk from the beach made it even better. Highly recommend!

Ik heb een ontzettend fijn verblijf gehad bij Hotel Fijn! De locatie is perfect: om de hoek van het strand en de straat met gezellige restaurantjes en barretjes. De kamers zijn ruim en voorzien van zitjes, airco en een ventilator. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de eigenaar verdient een speciale vermelding: ontzettend gastvrij en altijd bereid om met alles te helpen of mee te denken. Ik voelde me hier enorm welkom en goed verzorgd. Bovendien is de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding uitstekend, wat het verblijf nog aantrekkelijker maakt. Echt een aanrader voor iedereen die een ontspannen en prettig verblijf zoekt!

La costa di fronte alla spiaggia è rocciosa, ma basta spostarsi 10 minuti a piedi e si raggiunge una bella spiaggetta di sabbia dove si può entrare in acqua con facilità.

Rifai ist wirklich ein sehr sympathischer Gastgeber. Nach einer furchtbaren ersten Nacht dort (siehe unten) habe ich ein besseres (aus meiner Sicht für den Preis auch angemessenes) Zimmer I'm großen Haus bekommen. Das Wasser wird zu einem fairen Preis verkauft, Internet war nicht immer gut, aber er hat sich sofort darum gekümmert. Auch die Vermittlung für eine Safari lief kurzfristig prima über ihn. Die Lage ist etwas abseits, aber das gefiel mir gut, denn man ist trotzdem schnell im Troubel und ich war dankbar um mehr Ruhe.

Das erste, gebuchte Zimmer im EG ging wirklich gar nicht. Beim offenen Badezimmerfenster ohne Mückengitter war bei Licht natürlich alles voller Mücken und das Moskitonetz war löchrig. In beiden Räumen gab es nur ein Mini Hamam Tuch zum Zudecken, selbst bei Wärme wäre ein vernünftiges Laken angebracht. Die Matratzen sind sehr dünn, für Rückenschmerzen nicht geeignet. Leider hat auch alles an Wäsche unangenehm gerochen, das konnte man leicht verbessern. Für 20€ pro Nacht hatte ich in sri Lanka definitiv bessere Unterkünfte, aber für 3 Nächte war es ok.

We had an excellent stay at Nice Place! The owner runs the place in a very professional and competent manner; all that is needed for a great stay is present: the guest is left just to enjoy what Arugam Bay has to offer. The hotel and the rooms are clean, specially compared to other properties in Sri Lanka and the beach is 1 minute walk from the room door.

Heerlijk rustige plek op nog geen 50 meter van het strand èn de gezellige doorgaande weg met alle restaurants en barretjes. De kamers waren schoon en prettig. Heerlijke luie stoelen voor de kamers en prima ontbijt. De eigenaar had snel door dat onze kinderen van watermeloen hielden dus de keren daarna was er extra watermeloen. Ook zijn er flessen (gekoeld) water te koop voor supermarktprijzen.

Udany pobyt, wygodne pokoje. Super lokalizacja bardzo blisko plaży. Dobrze się czuliśmy w tym miejscu, zaopiekowani przez właściciela.

Brak ciepłej wody pod prysznicem. Śniadania były smaczne ale codziennie to samo (zero urozmaicenia).

Struttura situata a due passi dalla spiaggia, posizione molto comoda. Non abbiamo provato la colazione.

Peccato per il proprietario con il quale avevamo specificato di volere una stanza con due letti e ci ha presentato una stanza con un letto matrimoniale, dicendoci che non potevamo cambiarla. Acqua calda inesistente, bagno fatiscente.

Sehr saubere Zimmer mit Kühlschrank und Warmwasser. Super netter Hotelmanager, der für Fragen immer zur Verfügung stand und uns einen günstigen Weitertransport nach Ella organisiert hat. Lage gut, wenige Gehminuten zu den meisten Cafes und Restaurants.

Sehr sauber und angenehme Betten

Leider gab es Probleme mit Booking, weil wir von 2 Nächten auf eine Nacht umbuchen wollten und das online nicht funktioniert hat… dann mussten wir trotzdem mehr als für nur eine Nacht in der Unterkunft zahlen. Das war sehr ärgerlich

Great location - a minute from the beach and main street. We loved being on the 3rd(top) floor as there was a gentle breeze blowing through so NO mosquitoes! And lovely free of the sea in one direction. Very mellow - we would stay here again. When our arranged transfer did not work the host kindly assisted with finding another driver - still cheaper than pick me.

Sehr schöne und gut ausgestattete Zimmer, sauber, top Lage in Arugam Bay. Frühstück sehr gut und alles frisch vorbereitet. Der Hotelmamager ist total nett und organisiert wirklich alles. Ich würde wieder jede Tour /Taxi über ihn organisieren, ist auf jeden Fall günstiger und super zuverlässig. Wenn wir nochmal nach Arugam Bay fahren, dann sind wir in diesem Hotel.

Jeden z pokoi miał mieć 2 pojedyncze łóżka. Niestety okazało się, że takiego pokoju nie ma. Śniadania monotonne, ale za to z pysznymi owocowymi koktajlami.

We hebben hier 3 dagen overnacht en dit hotel is echt aan te bevelen. Als je de hoek van het hotel om gaat ben je meteen op het mooie strand van Arugum Bay. De kamer is ruim en schoon. Er is een goede airconditioning in de kamer. De manager Mr. Rifai is heel erg behulpzaam. Hij heeft onder andere een tuktuk, fiets en surfles voor onze zoon geregeld en had een aantal goede tips. De moeite waard om hier in Arugam Bay te verblijven. Een aanrader!!!

Le camere sono spaziose e ordinate, hanno sia l'aria condizionata che i ventilatori e alcune hanno pure il frigo. Davanti a ogni camera ci sono delle comode sedie per rilassarsi ascoltando le onde. Il proprietario è veramente gentile e organizza, a richiesta, safari al Kumana National Park e lezioni di surf. Assolutamente da consigliare!

Nice Place is very well located. The manager Reefai is fantastic, full of good advice and references. Thank you for the Lagoon Safari, surfing and Ayurvedic treatment tips, we enjoyed it very much and the DR helped me with my back pain.

Net hotel, prima bedden, goeie airco, vriendelijke beheerder en fijne locatie. Overal dichtbij, maar net buiten de drukte en het lawaai

'Uitzicht op het strand' was langs een ander hotel wat er vanaf het strand prima uitzicht, maar de achterkant waar wij dus tegen aan keken was grote puinzooi

Gutes Hotel nahe am Strand und an der Hauptstrasse mit den Shops, aber trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet aber man hat alles was man braucht (auch Mosquitonetz).

Die Lampenschirme sind aus Stoff und müssten dringend gewaschen werden, da sie einen schimmligen Geruch verbreiten. Der Rest des Zimmers war aber sehr sauber.

Der Hotelmanager kümmert sich um alles. Er gibt sehr viele praktische Tipps. Er hat für uns eine Safari im Kumana Nationalpark organisiert für ein vernünftigen Preis. Vor Ort sind jede Menge Surf Läden, Restaurants für alle Geschmäcker und natürlich der Strand! Es waren herrliche 3Nächte, die wir dort verbracht haben.

Ejeren af hotellet gjorde meget for at vi følte os godt tilpas og velkommen. Han var meget venlig til at hjælpe os samt at bestille ture fx surfe og Safari derudover hjalp han også med at finde en taxi til en god pris. Placeringen er god og ligge tæt på vandet og restauranter. Værelserne er meget rene. Vil anbefale dette sted!

Der Gastgeber ist sehr sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Lage ist super. 2 Gehminuten vom Strand und von der Hauptstraße ( mit Restaurants und Geschäften) entfernt. Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr sauber.

- Klimaanlage - Lage direkt am Strand aber dennoch ruhig - geräumiges Zimmer - sehr Sauber - Besitzer war super nett und hilfsbereit

- im Bad hat es ab und zu streng gerochen (oft vom Abfluss) - man hört oft den Bass der Musik von den Strandpartys (kann das Hotel nichts dafür) - Wlan ging zu 60% der Zeit gar nicht

L’emplacement est à 2 pas de la plage et 3 minutes du centre avec restaurants et commerces. Petit déjeuner excellent Personnel très agréable et le boss nous a fait économiser plus de 20 euros sur le transport du départ !

Un bel endroit avec des chambres spacieuses. Le propriétaire est très sympathique. Il nous a donné beaucoup de recommandations..

Le fait d’être surclassé en arrivant dans une belle chambre avec terrasse partagée mais tranquille. L’établissement est vraiment à 5 secondes a pied de la plage. La possibilité d’organiser des cours de surf avec un super chauffeur de tuk tuk!

Very near to the beach and lovely sea to swim .had sea view from balcony. Friendly owner and good breakfast, especially after a morning swim. We had a very lovely reasonable meal at nearby lemontree the first night we arrived tired. For triple, we had 2 bedrooms so spacious.

We didn't use the fridge as it had mould

Friendly staff, nice room and good value. I really liked the balcony outside the room, it's a nice space to chill and soak up sun and breeze Also the hotel has a communal library which was great because I had just finished my book when I arrived so I was able to swap for a new one.

From the booking.com description I was expecting this to be beachfront however it's one block back from the beach.

Hygiëne laat ten wensen over. Putje in de gootsteen was echt heel vies, er zat schimmel in de klamboe en over de spoelbak mag wel een doekje gehaald worden. De prijs/kwaliteit is niet per se slecht, maar door de achtergebleven hygiëne voelden wij ons minder comfortabel.

Vor den Zimmern im 2. Stock gibt es immer eine frische Prise. Vor dem Zimmer gibt es Sitzmöglichkeiten, die wir gerne genutzt haben. Die Zimmer waren sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Frühstück ist für den Preis von 1000 Rupien auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Nice place beach hotel was a pleasant surprise for us! Super close to the north tip of the bay/beach and convenient to get into the main strip with lots of options for breakfast and dinner. The host was super helpful and helped organise us a taxi and surf lessons. The room was spacious and had lots of places to hang all our wet things.

The location is great as it is set back from the main road (which is very noisy). 1 minute walk to the beach Nice breakfast for 1000 rupees (Sri Lankan and Western) Laundry service Great views from top floor very helpful with finding a surfing instructor (we used once and should have stayed with them) friendly staff

We had a strange arrival when the manager (who was otherwise really nice) seemed annoyed at the price we had been given on booking.com and that it was too cheap. I had mistakenly booked rooms with fan only and they were far too warm. On the top floor we were able to open both doors to get a breeze but everything had to be locked at night so then we just had the fan and it was really uncomfortable in the room. There was an air conditioner in our room but the remote was taken away by the manager and we were not offered any chance to pay extra to use it.

Very nice owner who makes his guests feel welcome and comfortable, helps with organizing tours and transportation. Situated second row to the beautiful beach - you can hear the waves at night. Just a few steps away from the main road with plenty of Restaurants and shops. Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Good breakfast with omelette, toast, jam, butter and fresh fruit or fruit juice.

המיקום של ההוסטל מעולה, ליד הים, והליכה של 5-10 דקות מכל המסעדות והחופים אז יש גם שקט וגם קרבה לכל המקומות חדרים פשוטים, גדולים וממוזגים היטב כולל מאוורר תקרה , יש גם מים חמים מרפסת שאפשר לשבת בה ולהסתכל על הים בעל המלון עוזר בכל מה שצריך - שיעורי גלישה, ספארי בלגונה, הסעה לשדה ועוד אנחנו היינו משפחה של 5 אז לקחנו 2 חדרים של 3 ושל 2 צמודים. היה פשוט מצויין. מומלץ ביותר למי שלא מחפש מלון יוקרה עם בריכה, ורוצה להנות מהפשטות והכיף שבארוגם ביי

La habitación no tenía mosquitera tal y como se anunciaba. Si te toca la habitación cerca de las escaleras entra mucha luz. Limpieza superficial (el perchero del baño estaba NEGRO de moho)
