We should have stayed more than 2 nights.

Our room was amazing! Our little oasis for a couple of day. The pool was perfect and the open layout of the kitchen/dining area was great! The koi fish pond was a really nice touch. Rini & Indra were amazing and made us feel very welcome and they went above and beyond! Especially with the pool breakfast, giving our daughter fish food to feed the fish and delivering our daughter dog/elephant folded towels. Indra also helped us book a driver last minute to get us to Sanur. 10/10 experience!

Very special place and ideal when travelling with a family of small group. A very beautifull garden and a lot of private space.

As many others mentioned, the waterfall in the garden makes a lot of noise in the night. They should make a separate switch like the one for the pool. And the bathrooms are (as also mentioned by others) very dated.

Mooi zwembad. een watervalletje met vissen. Een prachtige tuin met palmbomen en gezellige verlichting. Grote fijne bedden met een fijn mosquito-net. Een goede airco en in de badkamer een fijne warme douche. Overal mooie afwerkingen en decoraties op het terras. De service was goed en het personeel was aardig! Een gratis koffie en elke ochtend een stokje wierrook en bloemen en rijst in een bakje voor goed geluk. Een echte aanrader!

The gardens were spectacular.

There was a lack of basic essential such as glasses, tea towels, mosquito repellent, etc. Toilet was leaking and not down securely. The blinds have broken in the bathroom. The location was very much out of the way from the centre of Ubud. The towels needed a big upgrade. They are very old and worn out. Unfortunately on our last night the neighbours kept us awake.

Amazing property full of character. Great location as it’s away from the busyness of Ubud. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and were really helpful. Within walking distance there are several great restaurants and supermarkets and shops. Having your own pool is great and was clean and a great temperature to cool down during the heat of the day. We’d recommend this property to anyone.

The villa and the garden are just amazing, you fell like in a real Bali and can enjoy peace, quite and your own jungles. There are some things that can be managed and renewed, but it doesn’t affect the stay and how do you feel there.

I can’t mention any major issues.

The garden and pool area was lovely, as well as all the Balinese decor. It felt so secluded and quiet.

It’s about 15 minutes from Ubud town.

The house is an absolut charm, lovely rooms and comfy beds, the smell is a dream, the gardens are wonderful, the Kois are super sweet and the staff all very helpful - the daily offerings infront of our door were a nice traditional part of our stay. Very near are incredible locations to visit - We will definitely come back again - Thank you so very much for such a fantastic time we had!

This garden is a truly beautiful and cozy piece of nature! Spacious, meticulously maintained, and boasting lush, thick greenery, it feels almost like a private jungle. It features a charming little waterfall, a pond teeming with fish, and a lovely pool perfect for a refreshing dip. The villa is set approximately 100 meters from the main street, ensuring a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The pathway leading to the villa winds through a beautiful, plant-lined corridor, a veritable maze of greenery that effectively separates it from the outside world. Inside, there are two separate bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom complete with both a bath and shower. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets for comfort. There is also a quite cozy outdoor living area. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time there with our family, including our two children aged 6 and 9.

However, it's worth noting that the villa is slightly worn down in places. The shower handle was falling, and the living area, especially the kitchen and dining table, could benefit from refurbishing. The furniture has certainly seen better times. Additionally, we found only a few very basic and very old utensils, pots, and pans. Having all this fixed would make this place perfect place to stay for those who like nature. Main street is busy with almost none existent pathwalks (like almost everywhere in Bali), makes it very dangerous walking with kids, consider taking a taxi everywhere.

A piece of paradise! It feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle. Everything was very clean, and the staff were attentive, positive, and helpful. Don’t hesitate to book this place.

The bathrooms are a bit dated, and more plate and glasses would help but nothing to worry about.

Zahrada je opravdu nádherná a zajišťuje 100% soukromí. Bazén je tak akorát velký, pokoje jsou prostorné a každý má svojí prostornou koupelnu. Kuchyň je přiměřeně vybavená, ale na nějaké větší vaření to stejně není (možná bychom jen uvítali myčku).

Možná jen kvalita internetového připojištění by mohla být trochu lepší, pro teamsové hovory to úplně není. Osoby vyhledávající absolutní ticho možná bude trochu rozčilovat nonstop zvuk vody stříkající do potůčku s rybičkami.

A bit secluded and hard to find, but that made it even more magical. We noticed a bit of termites on some of the furniture.

Lovely villa in a great location, very comfortable and well-maintained. The hosts were welcoming and responsive.

Would be even better with a washing machine and a renovated bathroom.

The Gardener's Cottage is part of a bigger property called the Honeymoon Green Villa and is one of the villas in the complex. The whole property is magnificent with each villa enjoying total privacy. The cottage was very well appointed with a good sense of style: we had two separate bedrooms (both lockable) with their own bathroom. The kitchen was an open Balinese-style kitchen which was nicely decorated. The garden was idyllic with lots of little hidden spots and lush vegetation. We enjoyed the pool a lot - it was cool but clean and the natural surroundings made having a swim a beautiful experience. The whole cottage is decorated in Balinese style. It is beautiful. The staff, especially Wayan, was super helpful. Wayan helped us book activities and order dinner. The whole team was wonderful, helpful and friendly, ensuring we had the best stay. We had breakfast at the property everyday - local specialties and exotic fruit. We looked forward to it every day. We even tried the floating breakfast in the pool which was a lot of fun.

Everything was beautiful and we had an exceptional stay. Some minor things that could be improved: - additional towels could be provided - the bathrooms could do with an upgrade, but this was not a problem for us. We thought they were functional. - the cottage is located at about 20-30 minutes from Ubud city center by car which is a blessing as the property is a bit further away from the tourist crowds, however, it required a bit of planning to organise dinner and lunch depending on our activities. The property only caters for breakfast. There is a local restaurant 5 minutes away from the cottage on foot (The Forest Warung) which is lovely.

I loved staying at The Gardener’s Cottage — it felt super peaceful and private, surrounded by trees and nature. The place has a really luxurious vibe but still feels cozy and relaxed. It was the perfect escape from the busy parts of Bali. Would totally stay here again!

it’s quite far from Ubud village and food options, which made things a bit tricky, especially with kids. You’ll definitely need to arrange transport and plan meals ahead.

A stunning two bedroom villa in its own magical garden ……a little slice of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of ubud centre but easy to access by taxi for dinners and outings. Rini and her small team could not have been kinder or more helpful.

Lovely territory of this beautiful group of villas. We lived in Gardener’s Cottage Villa and it matches with images 100%. It’s super green and fresh.

Pillows are super harsh to sleep. There are multiple pounds with a water that are getting refreshed through several water streams which you don’t have a control over. So, if it flows in the night, there’s a high chance your sleep will be disturbed.

The kitchen area needs doing up, the water pressure in the bathroom shower was not the best. Also the toilet shakes when you sit on it.

Villa looked a little old

Absolutely stunning villa at an incredible price. The garden was so beautiful and it was so relaxing sitting on the veranda looking at it. Pool was a bit chilly but still a great feature and we all swam in it. Rooms very comfy with good air con. We were worried about it being too far from town but this is not an issue as it is so easy to get taxis and there are some food options within walking distance. Easy to do the sights of Ubud from here hiring a driver for the day. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. It was our favourite place to stay in Bali and we moved about a bit. I would definitely stay here again.

Kids would have liked access to Netflix on TV but the WiFi was good so they could use tablets.

The greenary, the big rooms were good to have features

Washroom seat was not fixed. It was moving while sitting. The insect and lizard presence along with the frog noises at night were a bit scary.

The authenticity. The real Ubud experience. The beautiful lush garden.

Nothing really. Just thought the bed linens were a bit old and dates. Could’ve been fresher. And breakfast could’ve been speedier. One day our breakfast was delivered at 9.55, when we placed order at 8.40. It affected our whole day.

Loved the property. It had that Eat Pray Love feels. Private villa with lovely staff who were helpful. Breakfast banana pancakes were nice and the location is 20 minutes from ubud town. But you can also grab dinner to the property. In the morning, you can only hear the nature. Wonderful place to unwind and just relax. There are also massages available where you can book right in your room. Also loved the swing! There is a picturesque small nest outside, that completes the bali experience.

It didn’t have a hair dryer or bidet but otherwise was lovely. The pool could use some more light as it could be a bit dark if we want to hang out there.

We loved this oasis on the outskirts of Ubud. Very lovely villa with a private pool and wonderful garden. We were greeted by Mrs. Rini and Indra, who made our stay exceptional. They care for everything around the villa, bring you the delicious breakfast, can arrange drivers for tours and massage directly in your villa. Special Thanks to these two wonderful women! Its's very quiet and you only hear & see the nature. The bath is big and with good water pressure. The pool and surroundings are amazing. We would be happy to come back with our kids again!

absolutely beautiful property, everything was just perfect

This place was magical! It reminded me of the book The Secret Garden. Upon opening the two wooden doors in the brickwork you are greeted by Ganesh and enter a lush tropical garden with a koi fish pond, little waterfall & lovely pool. The setting is stunning. There's a lovely Shrine in the garden where the ladies working there would leave daily offerings & incense burning. The villa itself is lovely with two large beautiful bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms. The beds were very comfy. The kids loved feeding the fish every morning. We had a floating breakfast on our first morning which was lovely. Really this place is beautiful.

We were well aware that the villa is situated a few kilometers from Ubud town. So you really need to take a taxi in the evenings to have dinner. And traffic in Ubud is awful! Saying that, the restaurant at The Pramana Resort was a short walk away with delicious food & a lovely setting.

This place has a spectacular surroundings both - interior and exterior. Everything was if not brand new, than with excellent maintenance. It is like a small Ubud paradise house. Perfect for couples, and family with kids. It has all amenities needed, super clean and arranged. Prepare your camera - you'd love to take photos. Indonesian, modern and cute overall place in excellent location - not too far from centre and far from the busy streets. The hosts are amazing - helped us with renting scooters and transport. I highly recommend Gardners Cottage, and will definitely be back one day soon !
