Susha Happy One First Floor Apartment

We spent a wonderful month at Susha Happy One First Floor Apartment, and my husband and I absolutely loved everything.Why you should stay here: Exceptional Hospitality. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming people. They helped us with everything: from arranging an airport transfer to delivering heavy water bottles right to our door. We happened to be there during the Tamil and Sinhalese New Year, and the hosts kindly invited us to try traditional sweets and treated us to a delicious home-cooked lunch the next day. Food and Drinks. You can always order food or fresh juice directly to your room. There is a menu available, and if you order a bit in advance, they will bring you the freshest homemade dishes. Comfortable Accommodation. The apartment is spacious, bright, and very clean. It has all the necessary kitchenware for cooking. There is no air conditioning, but the fans and open windows keep the temperature pleasant even at +32°C. Great Location. The house is located on a quiet street, so it’s very peaceful in the evening with no noise from the main road. The sea is close by, and there is a lagoon just a 3-minute walk away where you can swim or sunbathe on the pier. The walk to the lagoon or shops is very scenic: surrounded by bananas, mangoes, and lush greenery — a true aesthetic pleasure! Facilities. Household shops, fruit stalls, and basic groceries are within a 10-minute walk. A large supermarket is 1 km away (a 15-20 minute walk), and a very large shopping center is just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride away.We had a truly heartwarming experience. We had an amazing stay at this villa! It was absolutely beautiful and offered great value for the price. As a lovely gesture, we were gifted two delicious papaya juices with ice cream, which were a real treat. The family was incredibly kind and even lent us a blender to cook. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and memorable stay! The garden also in amazing amd the big dog the friendliest. This place deserves 10 stars.

This apartment is run by the most loving and caring couple I’ve ever met, and I travel a lot, so that’s saying something. I arrived super late (around 2am), and they were both there waiting for me, warmly welcoming me, showing me around, and making sure I had everything I needed. The space itself was spotless, everything worked perfectly, and the location was truly a gem, quiet, yet close to everything. They even took the time to drive me to a motorbike rental when I arrived, and kindly brought me back on my last day to return it. Beautiful space, even more beautiful people. I felt supported from beginning to end. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful place! The village is lovely, and the owners are super nice and welcoming. The ocean is just a short walk away, with a peaceful beach right nearby. The house had everything we needed—really cozy and comfortable!

We loved everything about the property. Some may say the location was a bit out of the way but it was walking distance to the beach and was easy enough to get a tuktuk to go to the busier areas. We prefer being tucked away a little.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. We were really happy with our stay.

The host is great and very helpful, he explained how tuk tuks work, served some welcome tea which was very appreciated by my elder mother, and was always a message away

Amazing for a two-night quick stay in Susha. Dilhan and the staff were brilliant, friendly, attentive to detail, and professional. Special thanks to the kitchen for the yummy food they have prepared. Breakfast, Dinner was excellent, I am vegetarian and exceeded my expectation of Sri Lanka Vegetarian food and eggless cakes. thank you.

Living in the villa was definitely an experience! The room was clean. Breakfast and dinner were local sri Lanka food and it was so delicious!

We loved absolutely everything. If you are looking for a calm, private, relaxing holiday to take time off from everyday life then Susha is the place to do it. The meals are thoughtfully prepared with fresh local ingredients. The food arranged by that staff was of high quality and very tasteful. Choice of Sri Lankan or Western foods. Fresh fruit tea coffee and fresh fruit smoothie. The coffee was very good (I'm a coffee fanatic). The staff is warm and friendly. Thoroughly recommend this villa!

Beautiful stunning property and delicious Sri Lankan food, overlooking a beautiful part of Hikkaduwa. Breakfasts, Snacks, Drinks, and all. we had seafood dinners that we won't ever forget. Nothing could have prepared us for the experience. We can only say thank you to Dilhan, and his family and congratulate the owners for having designed such a gem of a Villa. We highly recommend SUSHA for a relaxing stay in Hikkaduwa and look forward to coming back soon.
