The staffs are excellent! Very polite, professional, accommodating and prompt. Toilet and shower is great.

The property is not clean, the furnitures inside the room needs to be cleaned, as well as the couches. I can find dusts from the furnitures everywhere.

Everything from start to finish. The front desk staff were rude. There was building work. No stock at the bar or restaurant. Run down doesn’t even describe it. They cancelled our tours and didn’t tell us till after the tour was due to leave and we were waiting. I had to fight for a refund.

Resort is spacious with various dinning and activities available.

Resort added additional fees at check in because they considered my 2 teenagers (or any child over 12) to be adults. I made a specific request for 2 queen beds and recieved confirmation from the resort, prior to check in, that they could accommodate sleeping arrangements for my family of 4. At check in I was given a king sized bed room after again confirming it would be a double room. Resort would not change the room and instead gave us 2 cots and no pillows for them. After paying double the cost in additional fees, we still couldn't all get a decent bed. Resort is set away from the city area and getting a grab or taxi is very unreliable. If we took a tricycle from the resort to a location getting back was an issue.

Staff were lovely, however could not help resolve the many issues our very large group had !

Many of our group did not have hot water for the whole duration ( a week) of our stay . These included premium priced accomodation. There seemed little urgency from anyone to help resolve this issue, even after many attempts by us. One couple in our group were charged for two rooms and this is still to be resolved . Every day there was something “ sold out or unavailable “ , thus included basic things like the beer we were drinking and coke, plus many food menu items. The rooms were never topped up with tea, coffee and sugar. Unfortunately I would never recommend this accomodation because of the many issues experienced by all of us. There needs to be a manager available on site to address these issues as the staff on site were clearly not a position to deal with it .

The staff were wonderful and the main area of the resort was beautiful. The gym, pools and games room were great. The room was large and we loved the bathroom with the spa bath!

Unfortunately we had issues with our toilet not flushing and we had to call staff to try fix it, multiple times. This made our room uncomfortable to stay in, and if we had booked another night we would have needed to change rooms. The resort is aging and some areas are under construction /renovation - I’m sure it will be amazing once these are finished.

we stayed in an over-water villa. Very spacious, spotlessly clean, everything worked well except the power kept going out on the second night. It wasn’t a major issue as it came back on again in about 10 seconds but it made a loud clicking noise each time it did and woke us up. The restaurants are modern, clean, good food and service. Overall very friendly staff. The gym is great.

the infrastructure between all the facilities is quite run down, e.g. the wooden walkway to the pool villas, but appears to be getting renovated. Not really a negative but don’t expect Maldives type swimming and seeing marine life from the villa as underneath is very shallow and mangrove swamp. It still looks pretty to wake up to though. Same day laundry wasn’t same day. I dropped some off at 0710 and was still waiting for it the following day by 11am and no one was in any urgency to find it even though I was checking out. The wifi is inadequate for even basic browsing. It wouldn’t have been so bad if cellular service was good but that was poor too - not the hotel’s fault I guess.

Paradise. What a beautiful place. Great food, drink, rooms, pools. The Japanese restaurant is gorgeous overlooking property. We stayed in over-the-water bungalows which was gorgeous.

There was no hot water - when paying USD500/night I expect hot water. Management at the Spa was unfriendly - the spa treatments were fine, but the spa manager sat scrolling through TikTok videos at full volume rather than interacting with the guests in anything approaching a friendly manner.

L'aspect esthétique de l'ensemble. Rien à dire, c'était un bel hôtel Piscine géante (avec pas mal de carreaux manquants...) Le staff est super sympa, mais rien d'anormal aux Philippines. Les suites sont belles

-Check in avec une heure de retard...presque 16h avant d'avoir la chambre! -J'ai réservé à l'avance pour 3 séjours différents sur 3 semaines: bruits intenses dus aux travaux pendant la journée, par le staff, par des représentations "Live" avec musique batterie à fond et chanteur exubérants qui hurlent... impossible d' avoir le moindre repos à chacun des séjours. Là il est 20h et le bruit est assourdissant dans la suite que j'ai réservé, en leur demandant un endroit calme du fait des 2 séjours déjà trop décevants. C'est un endroit pour mariage et fêtes pour les Philippins, pas pour les touristes. Endroit a fuir! -La proximité de l'aéroport n'est pas un atout pour Puerto Princesa qui est de toute façon minuscule, donc aucun problème pour un autre choix. -La plage est un immondice de bouteille plastique et divers détritus... Beurk - Le restaurant est passable mais sans plus, ce qui reste surprenant pour un 5 *

A fantastic five star experience in Puerto Princesa. I stayed in a double pool villa. Great size and space. Large bathroom and sitting area inside and out. Pools and grounds were quiet. Five star breakfast and dinner at the Japanese Restaurant on level 8 Tower 2 was an amazing meal. 3 minute walk to all services. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice pool

I missed my flight and notified hotel and asked to move my reservation to following day, they said NO, the hotel was 20% full only and I lost my money for 1 night . They could have moved my reservation up to another day .

Pretty resort, loved the spa, and the Japanese restaurant.

We booked a suite, room felt out dated. Shower didn’t drain, toilet didn’t flush properly, and the curtains didn’t shut all the way. Most disappointedly, We found MOLD on the curtains. After reporting it, we were told they could change the curtains the next day. We told them we were only here for one night and how it probably wouldn’t be right for us to breathe this stuff in. We asked if it would be possible to change your rooms. We never heard back from them. It was already late. We decided just to sleep and hope we wouldn’t get sick.

Comfortable with accomodating staff

Pool was pretty shabby with missing and broken tiles that were replaced with synthetic grass to walk into the pool. Also my expensive pool villa which led into a main pool where the main pool swim up bar was in another cheaper accommodation location

La plage était dans un état déplorable, jonchée de déchets, sans aucun entretien. Les photos présentées sur votre site sont clairement trompeuses et ne reflètent en rien la réalité. Le complexe hôtelier, pourtant immense, est totalement négligé et mal entretenu, ce qui est inadmissible pour un établissement de ce standing. De plus, comme visible sur les photos, le toboggan était inutilisable faute d’eau, ce qui rend cette installation complètement inutile.

The resort is very spread out so nothing felt terribly crowded. Our room was spacious and on a corner of the highest guest room floor, so it was quiet. There was a huge wrap-around balcony with lots of space to dry out our SCUBA gear. The gym is SUPER!

The airconditioner was not really powerful enough to keep the large room with floor to ceiling windows cool. The tile floors were not really clean. Our feet were black after walking on it just for a brief period. The Japanese restaurant was very good and the lobby bar had a good selection of liquor and knowledgeable bar tenders. The room we were assigned didn't really match the photos that were provided to illustrate the room type. If you want one of the ground floor rooms by the smaller pool, be sure to inquire specifically.

We stayed at Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa for 2 nights and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, especially considering the price we paid. When we checked into our room around 3pm, it was clearly not up to basic cleanliness standards. The toilet had visible stains, surfaces like trays and fixtures were dusty, and there was noticeable grime around outlets and walls. The floor also did not appear properly cleaned. It honestly felt like the room had not been properly checked before our arrival. We reported this immediately. Initially, we were only offered to wait while they cleaned the same room again or to have it cleaned the next day, which was frustrating. After pushing, we were eventually moved to another room, which was in acceptable condition. While we appreciate that they relocated us, the first impression and handling of the situation really affected our stay. For a resort that markets itself as a premium experience, this level of housekeeping and quality control is not acceptable. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their cleaning standards and room inspection process. Guests should not have to request a different room just to get a clean one.

Nice local style hotel. Great facilities. Big pools with kids pool and water slides. Games / Entertainment room was excellent with lots of games. Pool bar service was excellent. Pizza from restaurant was very good. Local Filipino food was very good at the restaurant. Breakfast was good Room was comfortable and well equipped. Enjoyed a very good massage at the Spa. We would stay here again without question.

Hotel was just finishing some renovations so there was some things not 100% finished. Maintenance team had to come and fix few small things in our room but they attended to it very quickly and with no fuss. Not a major issue but just putting it out there.

We had a room with pool access in the original building which was great, rooms were a little tired although this didn't stop us wanting the same room on our return, but when we did returne 12 days later they had started to renovate them. Breakfast was fantastic. On our second visit we had a villa with pool access, bigger rooms and bathrooms, but if you are a sun worshipper these rooms do not get the sun on the terrace.

The hotel is under construction. It will have some noise in the day time. And the room is missing some items (hair dryer and hand wash soap) which we need to ask room service to provide.

I was doing QA for the property. Found 1. Save keys are not working, 2, The drains are also clogged. The schedule of shuttle are not friendly to customers. They can not even to call taxi for us.

The location , had to get a tuk tuk to go anywhere, had maintenance issues, tiles coming up or missing in the pool, light hanging dangerously close to the water, some sun lounge cushions falling apart , derelict buildings on the grounds looks very unsightly, soffits on main buildings are hanging in several areas, not sure how safe that is. Even the menus in the Italian restaurant are falling apart , should be replaced. Hopefully this is practical criticism as it lets down the hotel which is generally really nice

le personnel est incompétent tant au restaurant qu'à l'accueil, l'emplacement mer n'est que publicité mensongère, la mer est loin et les villas pilotis sont sur de l'eau sale qui sent mauvais, pas de plage à proximité, attente trop longue à l'arrivée et au restaurant avec une cuisine moyenne et beaucoup trop cher, jacuzzi dans la chambre qui ne fonctionnai pas, on a attendu, attendu, attendu,.... personne n'est venu pour régler le problème, pas de drap pour le lit de notre fils, nous avons du demander 10 fois avant qu'on nous les apporte

The hotel as a concept is nice. The initial architecture was fine. Personel is super friendly and do whatever they can to satisfy the guests. Loved them.

Very old, rooms are old, maintanance is very poor and the impression anyone has is that the hotel has been abandoned. Broken lights, missing tiles from the swimmin pool (espessialy near the kids pool most of the pool-tiles are missing giving you an idea that the water is very dirty). The swimming pool has not been cleaned on a daily basis. We have booked the Pool Villa and have not enjoyed the pool not even once. Too bad since the hotel could be really nice.

Run as much as you can. This is not even 1 star hotel. We left after 1 night , they are rats in the hotel , building B open only ground floor and 4th floor, between is a construction

Nothing. The hotel is not luxury. There's no hot water readily available. You have to call the front desk a, few times before they turn on the hot water which could take 1-2 hours later. The italian restaurant is decent but the breakfast buffet is disappointing.

It's a very beautiful hotel. I wish I could stay longer. Breakfast was good Room was nice and comfortable beds. Only thing I need to suggest is..I hope they can curve down or angle/round the corners because we kept on accidentally hurting our legs....because of the sharp corners of the beds

Sharp wooden corners of wooden beds..instead of rounded/ curve...so they don't hurt calf bones easily. We had to place something on the corners so we don't keep on hitting ourselves. It hurts

Amazing stay here for our honeymoon. We stayed in a water villa and was worth the money. They also did a honeymoon set up as a surprise for us. The facilities are endless so much to do. Peurto Princessa was the last leg of our trip and we spent the time relaxing here. We also went to the mall which is 15 minutes away, got dropped there by the hotel van. The hotel also has trips to the underground river you can organise with them. Highly recommend!

Expensive restaurants for what you get. Slow service. My bathroom constantly flooded when I showered. No activités and not a lot to do at the resort. No beach front and the sand banks seemed like a hassle to get to.

It's quite a fancy resort!

Room full of mosquitoes. Flies and ants by the pool. Beer can and leftover food by the pool when you wake up in the morning.

We had a shuttle booked to come get us from 5 hours away. From the night before the hotel completely stopped responding and then the next day kept saying they’d be late but in fact never came. AND still haven’t refunded me. Very odd and nothing from them to make it right

Nothing!! It was absolutely terrible. We booked a water villa and it looked nothing like the photos. The breakfast was basic, the room was old, the spa didn't work, the hot water took 5 minutes to turn on, and the water villa was on mud flats!

Terrible hotel, I am so heartbroken I chose this hotel for my Honeymoon! Its old, outdated, run down, and looks nothing like the photos. We were meant to stay 3 nights and left the hotel after 1 we were that disappointed, I complained to the General Manager Charlyn and she said they would arrange a refund and also never did. We booked a water villa and it was actually a joke. Shocked they can get away with even calling it that. I don't recommend this hotel, especially for couples and definitely not a honeymoon experience :(

The children’s pool although need maintenance

The property is extremely dated, the rooms smell, are damp with mold and the fridge and aircon are really loud. The staff are slow, unresponsive and everything is out of stock.

Bad service. Understaffed. No quality management at all. Long queue for eggs at breakfast. Coffee machine broken. Some elevators not working. Soap in common toilet missing. Staff doesn’t bother clean tables. In the main restaurant, they said they had too many orders (at 7pm!) so they would stop taking any new customers. Etc. NOT recommanded

Relaxing environment

Having to pay a damages deposit on credit card. Then after having contacted them as hadn’t been refunded 7days after leaving Apparently their policy is 30 days before you will be refunded. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable Why isn’t it refunded straight away like every hotel I have stayed at. Just think before booking as We needed the money to fund our trip and they were still not willing to refund us.

Princesa Garden Island Resort & Spa has a lot going for it, starting with its very convenient location near Puerto Princesa Airport, which is ideal for short stays or early flights. The resort feels exclusive and self-contained, with multiple restaurants, amenities, and beautiful private villas that offer privacy and a true resort experience.

The experience didn’t fully align with the premium price point. The villa rates are significantly overpriced for the level of service provided. Guest service also lacked attentiveness and compassion, particularly during our departure. We were promised breakfast due to an early flight, yet none was available, and staff showed little initiative in offering alternatives until I had to ask. Additionally, we paid for an “inclusive” airport drop, but the vehicle was shared with another guest, which was unexpected and not communicated in advance, another miss for what is marketed as a high-end, exclusive experience.

A gem in the Philippines! We spent 2 lovely nights here and got just what we needed! We enjoyed our room with patio access to one of several pools. The staff was incredible and prompt, noteworthy in the Philippines. We ordered food from the Italian and Japanese restaurant, and it was delicious. The complimentary breakfast was expansive and good. Highly recommend 👌

I love the massive pool. They have so many sitting from restaurants, pools, relaxation pods etc. everyone I encountered were nice, helpful and polite. Great facilities like the Yama restaurant up on the tower was so nice. Breathe taking views! Lots of activities to do inside.

It would have been good to access the sand bar as per advertised but tried to go but it was blocked and under construction. The buffet breakfast was a little sad. 2nd morning there was not even a buffet had to order ala carte. Not many option for a buffet breakfast. I also felt that the airport transfer of 1k pesos was a bit steep for the distance. But overall my experience was great! This are just some room for improvement.

I like the breakfast similar dish but not the same every day. Close to the main town. Brolly was provided.

The bed smells. The bathroom faucet is leaking bad. There was a hornet home in our balcony which been taking care off by the staff after reporting. Noisy as constructions still in going. Expensive.
