Reviewed Dec 29, 2025I had a pleasant stay at Kumari Star Inn. The location is great, with a lovely hotel and peaceful garden area. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always attentive to our needs. A special thanks to the chef, who went the extra mile by working beyond usual hours to prepare our meals — really appreciated! They also helped arrange vehicles for our travel, which made our trip much more convenient. Overall, a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Highly recommended!

Let's start with the fact that we arrived at the hotel at 5pm and the rooms weren’t ready, cleaning was happening right before our eyes, although check-in is usually at 2pm. The room wasn't cleaned even once over the course of four days. We had to beg for toilet paper every time. There was only a shower towel in the room, and the water on the first day was cool, not hot. The hotel clearly needs renovation: the walls are stained, and I saw a cockroach in the bathroom once. Also on checkout day, the payment terminal wasn't working, so we couldn't pay by card. They kept us waiting, telling us the terminal would be working soon, and we ended up wasting time and had to run to the nearest ATM to withdraw money, as we were already late for our flight.

The breakfast was delicious with a good variety to choose from, and the staff were all extremely pleasant, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. It’s truly a great place to stay, offering both comfort and warmth. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2024The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We had a mix-up with hotel bookings and so booked this last minute. We then had a flight cancellation late at night, and with one phone call, they booked us in for another night and arranged a car to pick us up from the airport. Thanks to all the staff for their help. Location is great and in the heart of Pokhara lakeside.
This would be a good 3 star hotel. Breakfast is OK.

Showers ranged from luke warm to freezing cold. Rooms and paint were old and mouldy, sheets had some stains. Outside noise was very loud, could hear the elevator music from inside our room.

Online room description doesn't match. No hot tub. The building only has tubs in suite and rest doesn't, which was not mentioned. As the advert says the main feature of this room was hot tub but non to be seen in reality.

Their breakfast buffet was also adequate. All the rooms had balconies with picteresque views of the mountains. Overall loved our stay at kumari star inn.
