Kleines gemütliches Anwesen, geräumiges Zimmer mit Terrasse und sehr hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Gastgebern, die auch Touren organisieren und selber durchführen. Das Essen war sehr lecker .

Es war nachts teilweise recht laut, was den Gastgebern natürlich nicht anzulasten ist. Manchmal gab es laute Musik bis in die Nacht, und die nahegelegene Kirche ruft sehr früh zum Gottesdienst.

La chambre et le jardin sont vraiment bien. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Un grand merci pour les petites attentions dans la chambre, l’accueil ainsi que tous les conseils !

Jan and Marylene really took care of us and our 2yr daughter. Perfect place to stay for your tomohon trip and see the sights. The views of the volcano are really nice and the fields around the place give you a real feel of staying in the village.

The weather was hotter than expected but that's thanks to climate change and the el nino 2026. Nothing the hosts could do about that.

Ilasan Cottage ist ein kleines Paradies am Rand von Tomohon. Die Cottages sind kleine Häuschen, liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber in einem wunderschönen Garten. Jan und seine Frau sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Wir haben das ganz neue Cottage bekommen, das sehr gut für Familien geeignet ist. Jan bietet neben Transport (Flughafen, Tangkoko,…) auch sehr gute individuell gestaltete Touren zu fairen Preisen an. Dabei erklärt viel ohne aufdringlich zu sein - sehr angenehm. Wir haben so in wenigen Tagen die ganze Region kennengelernt - hervorragend! Das Zentrum von Tomohon ist gut 2,5 km entfernt und zu Fuß oder per Grab sehr einfach zu erreichen.

Les "cottages" sont juste magnifiques :: spacieux, propres, super salles de bains, très bel environnement de fleurs, belles terrasses. Un beau chien noir discret et amical gambade joyeusement dans le jardin..

Disons que certains produits du petit déjeuner (café, beurre, confiture) ne sont pas, à notre avis, à la hauteur du standing de l'établissement.

Wir haben 4 Nächte in den Ilasan Cottages verbracht und können die Unterkunft und die Region Tomohon jedem Reisenden nur empfehlen! Wir sind Anfang 30 und waren als Paar unterwegs. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem wunderschönen Garten mit tollem Blick auf den Lokon-Vulkan. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett bequem und das Bad ebenfalls modern und gepflegt. Etwas außerhalb gelegen, aber genau das macht den Charme aus. Über die Gastgeber konnten wir unkompliziert und zu einem fairen Preis einen Roller mieten, mit dem sich die gesamte Region perfekt erkunden lässt. Auch das Frühstück und Abendessen in der Unterkunft waren immer lecker und preislich fair. Selbst unsere Wäsche wurde schnell und günstig gewaschen. Touren werden ebenfalls angeboten, wir haben unsere Ausflüge allerdings selbst organisiert. Ein großes Dankeschön an Jan! Er hat uns vom Flughafen in Manado abgeholt und bringt uns auch zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft nahe Lembeh – ebenfalls zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Seine Tipps für die Region waren super. Er unterstützt uns auch noch nach dem Aufenthalt bei der Organisation von einem Fahrservice und von einem Guide für Tangkoko. Wissen wir wirklich sehr zu schätzen! Danke für alles! Tomohon selbst war für uns eines der Highlights unserer Indonesien-Reise. Vier Tage waren genau richtig – weniger würden wir nicht empfehlen, denn es gibt unglaublich viel zu entdecken. Die Landschaft ist traumhaft und die Menschen sind außergewöhnlich herzlich. Man wird überall freundlich angelächelt, gegrüßt und oft sogar in Gespräche eingebunden. Wir durften sogar den Geburtstag unseres Gastgebers miterleben – mit viel Gesang, Gemeinschaft und Gottesdienst. Obwohl wir selbst nicht besonders religiös sind, war es beeindruckend zu sehen, mit wie viel Herzlichkeit und Offenheit wir aufgenommen wurden. Hier hatten wir nie das Gefühl, nur ein Tourist zu sein – die Gastfreundschaft wirkte ehrlich und von Herzen.

Charmant homestay à Tomohon, fleuri avec de jolies plantes un peu partout et bien entretenu Chambre lumineuse, spacieuse et confortable. Bonne literie Jus de fruit frais à notre arrivée et au petit déjeuner. Possibilité de louer un scooter Couple d’hôtes sympathique et attentionné.

Nuisance sonore jusqu’à tard le soir avec une musique forte et répétitive d’un voisin certainement à proximité. Nous y sommes restés trois nuits du vendredi au lundi, peut être liée au weekend et à un esprit festif… Sentier d’accès au homestay qui mériterait d’être refait pour le passage des scooters.

Ilasan Cottage is the perfect base for exploring Tomohon and the surrounding area. The cottage was the most comfortable place we stayed in North Sulawesi. The room and bathroom are impressively spacious and very well-equipped. The standard here is higher than at many other accommodations. From the terrace, you can enjoy the view of the beautiful flower garden. Jan is an excellent tour guide and a pretty good cook. He’s always there when you need help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even extended it. 

Tijdens onze rondreis door Noord-Sulawesi hebben wij twaalf heerlijke dagen mogen verblijven bij Jan en Marlyne. Vanaf het eerste moment voelden wij ons ontzettend welkom. Hun kleinschalige accommodatie ligt in een prachtig onderhouden, afgesloten tropische tuin vol bloemen, planten en bomen. Een oase van rust waar je optimaal kunt genieten van privacy, natuur en het ontspannen leven op Sulawesi. De cottage is van alle gemakken voorzien, schoon, comfortabel en uitgerust met heerlijke bedden. Na een dag op pad te zijn geweest door de prachtige omgeving was het iedere keer weer fijn thuiskomen. Ook het eten verdient een groot compliment. Iedere ochtend genoten wij van een heerlijk ontbijt en ook het diner was telkens weer uitstekend verzorgd. Marlyne weet met haar kookkunsten iedere maaltijd bijzonder te maken en we hebben daar volop van genoten. Wat deze plek extra speciaal maakt, zijn Jan en Marlyne zelf. Ze zijn ontzettend gastvrij, behulpzaam en staan altijd klaar om vragen te beantwoorden of tips te geven over de omgeving. Hun kennis van de regio heeft ons geholpen om nog meer van Noord-Sulawesi te ontdekken. De ligging is ideaal. Je verblijft midden in alle rust, maar tegelijkertijd op zeer korte afstand van het gezellige Tomohon. Hierdoor heb je het beste van twee werelden: een rustige, groene omgeving en toch alle bezienswaardigheden, restaurants, markten en voorzieningen binnen handbereik. Daarnaast is het een perfecte uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van de vulkanen, meren, watervallen en andere hoogtepunten van Noord-Sulawesi. Een speciaal dankjewel voor Jan voor het beschikbaar stellen van de 250cc motor. Daardoor hebben wij veel van de omgeving kunnen ontdekken en genoten van prachtige ritten door het indrukwekkende landschap van Sulawesi. 😁😎🙏🏼 Wat ons tijdens ons verblijf vooral is bijgebleven, is de oprechte vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van zowel onze hosts als de lokale bevolking. Lots of mosquitoes. The room was nice but not very clean. The breakfast option with egg was a bit poor. Only 1 fried egg with two pieces of toast (no butter, no jam). Better go for the Nasi Goreng.

It was like staying with friends, the hosts were welcoming and friendly and full of useful advice. Jan is a Dutchman married to a Sulawesi lady so communication was easy. I rented a scooter from them and Jan advised me on the excellent woodland routes to hot springs and volcanic lakes. He also drove me to a Telkomsel shop to buy an eSIM after the one I purchased from Trip.com failed to work. If was outstanding supportive and kind, the best hosting I’ve experienced in my 6 months travelling SE Asia.

Everything :) Ian organised our airport pickup and set us up nicely at the Cottage. During our stay, we organised tours with Ian around Mount Lokon, Lake Linow, and all the other attractions around Tomohon, before driving us back to Manado after our stay.

Mooi, gezellig huisje in de mooie tuin, erg schoon, lekkere warme douche. Lekkere (Hollandse) pannenkoeken voor ontbijt met fruit en een heerlijk sapje. We deden 2 tours met Jan de eigenaar, hij liet ons de mooiste plekjes van Tomohon en omgeving zien en kon ons veel vertellen over de Indonesische natuur en cultuur. Alles is tiptop geregeld, een aanrader als je naar Tomohon komt!

Sehr schöne und saubere Unterkunft. Jason und seine Frau waren sehr nette Gastgeber. Das Abendbrot gehörte sicher zu den leckersten was ich auf meiner Indonesien Reise gegessen habe sehr empfehlenswert.

Die Bungalows, deren Ausstattung, die ruhige Lage aber vor allem die excellente Küche von Merlin und die Ratschläge und Hilfe von Jan. Ohne ihn hätten wir vieles verpasst und die Verlängerung unserer Visa wäre unglaublich kompliziert geworden. Leider nur zwei Tage, wir kommen gerne wieder

Es liegt etwas abseits, allerdings hat uns Jan sein Moped zur Verfügung gestellt, so dass wir alles gut erreichen konnten.

Charming cottage with garden view – clean, cozy, and with its own terrace. Jan and his wife live next door and were amazing hosts: they picked us up from the airport, gave us great insider tips for things to do nearby, and helped organize transport. This was our first place on our Sulawesi trip, and we felt welcome right away. Renting a scooter was easy, and we loved exploring the area on our own. One of the highlights was the Lokon crater. We can absolutely recommend this place from start to finish. Thanks again for everything!

Il cottage è super carino immerso in un giardino pieno di fiori e piante. Si fa colazione vista vulcano.. Bellissimo!! Tutto è estremamente pulito, la doccia è calda. Jan è un olandese che vive in Indonesia da più di 20 anni, super disponibile e una guida fantistica. Ci ha portati a fare rafting e a Tangkoko e ci ha dato qualche aneddoto molto interessante.

Niente, forse rivaluterei il ristorante dove si ferma abitualmente per la Gita a Tangoko, perché servono cibo gia pronto e avanzato da altre persone..

Hele leuke en fijne lodge in een prachtige tuin. De Nederlandse man en Indonesische vrouw maken je het zeer naar de zin. Ze delen goede tips en we hebben echt heerlijk gegeten!! We hebben een scooter van ze gehuurd en we kwamen niks tekort. Zeker de moeite waard!!

Rundum empfehlenswert - wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Der Gastgeber Jan ist super, er hat sich um alles gekümmert und uns sogar zu den Ausflügen gefahren. Das Cottage ist gemütlich, toll eingerichtet und das Bett ist wunderbar bequem. Auch die Lage mit Blick auf den Vulkan ist grossartig. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!

Jan was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and gave plenty of tips. The area is lovely - away from all the noise of Tomohon - it's very peaceful and the lush garden makes for a relaxed environment. The room is very clean. With a motorbike it's very close to the city itself and easy to get around.

As it's a tinned roof, rain during the rainy season can actually be incredibly loud;.plus, being so close to nature there sometimes are quite a few sounds at night - so would recommend bringing earplugs to those who are sensitive to noise as I am.

Tout simplement parfait. Situé en pleine campagne et proche du centre, les chambres sont situées dans un havre de paix, entourées d'un magnifique jardin. Jan est discret et attentionné à la fois. Le cottage est spacieux, propre, parfaitement équipé. La literie est très confortable. Un petit goût du paradis sur Terre.

De gastvrijheid van Jan en zijn echtgenote. De twee gasten-bungalows zijn conform Europese standaard gebouwd en uitgerust, een erg nette ruime badkamer met een goede glazen wand en een warme douche. We hebben 2x verrukkelijk gedineerd. Met de hulp van Jan zijn we een zoektocht gestart naar het graf van betovergrootvader. Jan heeft zich geweldig positief ingezet, daarmee werd onze zoektocht een succes. De lokatie is wat veraf met als voordeel de rust en als nadeel dat te voet naar het dorp heb optie is. Jan verhuurt een brommer of motor.

Un petit coin de paradis en campagne de Tomohon. Les cottages sont modernes et très bien pensés avec tout le nécessaire. Les hôtes sont très gentils et se mettent en quatre pour rendre le séjour parfait. Possibilité de louer un scooter ou de faire des excursions directement organisées sur place. Un sans faute, je conseille à 100%

Das Ilasan Cottage ist eine kleine, etwas abseits gelegene Unterkunft mit nur zwei Zimmern. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, liebevoll eingerichtet und verfügen über ein großes Badezimmer – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Jan ist unglaublich hilfsbereit und gibt tolle Tipps zu Ausflügen und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Vor Ort können problemlos auch Ausflüge und Transfers organisiert werden, und auch ein Roller lässt sich direkt bei ihm mieten. Besonders praktisch war, dass wir nach Absprache spät abends auschecken konnten – so konnten wir den letzten Tag noch in vollen Zügen genießen.

De locatie was top. Wel een beetje afgelegen, maar met de scooter is het een geweldige plek. Lekker rustig! Jan en zijn vrouw zijn voortreffelijke gastheer/dame.

Endroit très agréable, petit cottage avec une belle surface, je vous conseille de dîner sur place le soir, les plats copieux et délicieux avec un rapport qualité prix excellent. La place est bien entretenue, les responsables de la place font tout en leur pouvoir pour vous rendre votre séjour agréable. Vous pouvez louer un scooter sur place. Enfin bref si vous passez par Tomohon n'hésitez pas à réserver à l'Ilisan cottage

Für diesen Preis, gibt es wirklich nichts was man verbessern könnte! Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Grundstück mit toller Aussicht. Der Bungalow hat einen sehr hohen Standard an Sauberkeit und Ausstattung. Die Gastgeber sind freundlich und haben es uns an nichts fehlen lassen. Sehr wahrscheinlich die beste Unterkunft in Tomohon und Umgebung. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen! :)

Heerlijk verblijf gehad bij Jan en vrouwlief. Dit is zeker een aanrader. Alles schoon en goed georganiseerd!

Cottage gebaut 2022. Schön, sauber, komfortabel. Toller Garten und viele Blumen. Ruhige Lage. Ein Scooter oder Auto ist notwendig. Fussläufig ist nichts möglich. Wir haben alle 4 Tage den Scooter gehabt und sind die Gegend abgefahren. Betten bequem

The accommodation is very modern, clean, spacious, comfortable, with beautiful garden around. The host was very hospital and helpful. No negatives to say.

Everyone and everything was great. There are two cottages located in a gorgeous garden setting. Lovely veranda to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and dramatic extinct volcano. The entire area is abundant in vegetation, both crops and forests. Everything seems to grow, probably because of the rich volcanic soil. Breakfast was included in the price but lunches and dinners were generous, inexpensive and carefully prepared by Marlyne, the wife of the host, Jan. We took an all day tour of the surrounding countryside, culminating in a swim in a small lake and sulfuric hot spa. Don’t forget to take in the amazing market in town. While some of it may look familiar to fellow travellers, other parts are unique to the region. Finally, if you’re lucky enough to be in town in early August, check to see if the flower festival and parade are on.

Really nice cottage in a lovely setting. The garden is really beautiful and the cottages are spacious, clean and with a good bathroom. The owners are very nice and make their own local products. They put a lot of care into breakfast and went out of their way to make traditional Dutch pancakes for our daughter. They also organize local tours. The location is outside the busy part of Tomohon but close enough to take a taxi/GRAB for dinner.

Jan is your all-in-one tour guide/driver/handyman/friend. anything you want, just let him know and he’ll make it happen. love his local info and knowledge. brought us to places and showed us interesting local gems we otherwise wouldn’t have known about.

This is so far and by far the best accomodation we have had in our one-month trip in Indonesia. The location is beautiful, the premises hyper clean, spacious and comfy, everything taken care of to the smallest detail, the wide choice of breakfast was gorgeous... And Jan, our host...there are no words to describe his helpfulness, amicability, and readiness to make our stay unforgettable. He gave us lots of practical information on the area and activities and made our stay very easy and enjoyable by organising all the activities we did (rafting, volcano trekking, local day trip, national park visit and transfers to and from the airport) for a very reasonable price. Jan is the epitome of a super host. If we ever come back to Sulawesi, no doubt we'll stay at Ilasan Cottage again.

We stayed four nights in one of the two beautiful bungalows in the lovely garden of Jan‘s family home. Great hosts, clean and comfortable bungalows (western standard, most comfortable bed we have had in months!), delicious breakfast, Lokon volcano view, and fury friends (only outside the buildings) make this a perfect place to stay in Tomohon. Jan is happy to help you plan your trips / excursions and also drive you to sites, or you can rent a scooter from him.

Beautiful bungalow located in the nice garden with lots of colorful plants, super clean, hot shower and every day a new piece of chocolate on the pillow! Jan, the host, is super friendly and helpful. We could rent a scooter from him directly and he had lots of useful tips for things to visit in the area! The breakfast was delicious (especially the local one) and we also did some laundry for a good price.

The property is immaculate and everything feels brand new. The gardens are a delight. Jan made us a super meal on our 1st night - delicious 😋 We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes a ‘home from home’ feel - being a little way out of town was ideal for us as the town itself is very noisy. Jan went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time, booked us a white water rafting trip (it’s a must!), all the little touches were most welcome - 2 nights was not long enough xx
