Lovely little town with store, petrol station, pub, cafe and other shops. Direct access to walking path.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2024The hosts were amazing as well as Kathie their cleaner. Exceptional communication between both of them & their customer service goes above and beyond! The studio is a lovely modern studio with plenty of room! Comfortable bed & couch as well as everything needed to cook a meal in the kitchen! Ample parking space, cute & cosy little patio with a massive garden & trampoline for the kiddies! There where also 2 chicken that visited me each morning (I was feeding them each morning so that was why they kept coming back 😂) The shower pressure was amazing & the bathroom was clean and tidy also with a heated drying rack which was amazing for the cold mornings! There was no washing machine however Kathie offered to wash our clothes for us which was very thoughtful! There is a laundromat just down the road though. I very highly recommend you stay here 🥰

Aesthetically and practically I understand the concept of the polished floor but personally it was too cold on my feet even wearing slippers ...maybe just use to carpet. Also dining chairs made noise when moving but could solve with felt placed under legs

Reviewed Apr 19, 2024We liked everything about the studio 😊 It was obvious that the hosts put a lot of thought in building, furnishing, equipping and decorating of the place and thought of all the small details, including a helpful welcome book. The whole place is new and super clean. It’s also really nice to have a garden and terrace. The location is great, you can start for a walk from the garden and explore the river and beach or drive to one of the nearby wineries or go for a hike at Te Mata Peak. The hosts are nice and helpful. Internet is good, TV has Netflix etc, and there is even a washing machine. This has definitely been the nicest stay in NZ within that price range and we would happily come back anytime!
I‘m saying this as someone who used to travel all the time for work and has stayed in hundreds of hotels etc. - I truly didn’t find anything I’d do differently 😊 everything was perfect

A booklet was included with where to get to things in the area and good food spots etc which was a nice touch. Also only 15 mins from Napier or Hastings
