The breakfast was very convenient and the cottage location was perfect

It was so lovely to come in late at night to a warm cottage, with bread, milk, eggs etc in the fridge - what a welcome. The comms were fantastic and it was a great stay.

Fantastic accommodation, location was quiet and absolutely stunning!

Everything, beautiful accommodation, the house was clean, and tidy, and smelt great and very warm and cozy. Had Everything we needed. Well equipped with laundry avail nearby, ample towels. Impressed how clean and smelled great.

Rose cottage exceeding my expectations - I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the cottage felt and how well equipped the facilities were Upon arrival Eric had turned the heaters on and had turned the lights on so it was easy for us to find (we arrived post sundown), AND, bread, eggs, and spreads were placed in the fridge for us - really lovely surprise.

Size privacy

This must be one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Everything we needed for a week’s trip was there. It was quiet and secluded well worth a visit.

No information about what to do when we received an evacuation alarm on our phone. Being from the UK this confused us until we eventually found a local to explain

Pretty location and property, well appointed with good breakfast supplies. Small but perfectly formed and served us well as a threesome. Proprietor helpful as we communicated regarding vacating due to a cyclone.

Would have loved a king sized bed instead of queen but we understand that there was limited space for one as it is a small unit.

It probably had the best kitchen in a holiday let I have been to. Everything you need to self cater. It was very clean. Good location.

Loved the location and home-y feel. Kind of them to provide supplies for breakfast, and I learned to use a french coffee press. Would love to have had a refill on the coffee canister.

The only thing (in my opinion) that could be improved upon would be the bed pillows. They were too firm for comfort. Some places provide down/feather pillows as well as the type provided here.

A bit far away from everything. Garden rather overgrown making the accommodation dark. The digger left in the garden was not appropriate.Families would not feel safe with kids in the garden playing.

We loved the cleanliness, the proximity to the local town and the fact that the attention to detail regarding utensils, supplies and furnishings was 100%. Nothing was missing. We love that. Thankyou.

Probably that the man mowing the lawn could have warned us that he was going to mow as the dust and dirt was flying into our apartment for ages , we had to close all windows and doors immediately. However, the whipper snipper man told us he was about to work so we appreciated that. Perhaps he can remember to warn people.

Perfect stay! The cottage was very well presented and we had plenty of amenities to last us during our 4 night stay. Highly recommended, and we will definitely book here again when we are in the area next time. Thank you so much!

Provision of a first day breakfast. Very clean and prompt, friendly response from host. Free parking. Great showers and comfy, large beds. Suitable for 4 adults. Bountiful supply of towels.

No full-length mirror. 2nd bedroom needs a 2nd bedside table.

A relaxing environment, very peaceful and good cooking facilities. The beds were comfortable and all our needs were catered for, right down to breakfast on the first morning.

Intial communication was difficult and it would have been easier to be told from the beginning the time the cottage was available . We also told we couldn't have visitors, It would have been nice to invite my ninety seven year old father over on Christmas day.

Not often a property exceeds our expectations! The standard was exactly as described, the cottage had plenty of kitchen cutlery and crockery, such a beautiful cottage and tranquil setting.

The cottage was great, surrounded by trees and an lawn area. The cottage had everything we needed plus more. Loved the facilities, and the fresh bread, eggs and milk.

Location was so handy to everything. Loved the peace, quiet, and privacy. Had everything we required and thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay.

The location, cleanliness and attention to detail

Loved the cottage. Beautiful, private setting - sitting on the deck you feel like you're in your own little sanctuary. Great for our family of four. Excellent info pre arrival and they double checked I had received the message, which was a nice touch on a busy week. Great location - Five minutes walk to the coastal walk, and 10- 15 minutes to Napier and Hastings.

Great location with beautiful gardens. The cottages were clean, tidy and spacious and had everything we needed. The staff were easy to deal with and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Bread, spreads and eggs were provided in the fridge. Plunger coffee was available. The garden setting was wonderful and very relaxing. The cottage was well appointed and easy to access with excellent instructions. We arrived late and the host had thoughtfully left a light on for us.

Private. Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. Accommodation was perfect for the 4 of us. Enjoyed that we were left milk, bread, eggs etc in the fridge. Great communication. Heat pump was on for our arrival.

Excellent breakfast Eggs, Bread , Milk ,Tea and Plunger coffee provided. We made scrambled Egg on Toast.

We stayed at the hydrangea cottage and it was lovely. everything was supplied and grateful for milk and bread in the fridge. not too far from shops but napier was about 20min drive.

Not really a plunger coffee fan so would be good if it had drinking chocolate or more tea options :)

We loved it! The cabins were away from the hustle and bustle. Birds singing everywhere and each cabin private from the others.

We loved everything and will be back.

Beautiful house, and we loved the location. We'll definitely book again when coming back to the Bay.

Very private and quiet. Well appointed kitchen. Milk and tea/coffee salt and pepper, there was even bread and eggs if the fridge to cook for breakfast 4 square 5 minutes away for anything else. A proper printed compendium 🤓

The breakfast was ample and tasty. Loved the garden, that was special.

Dining chairs looked good, could have been more comfortable.

What a lovely cottage! We were delighted that the place was spotlessly clean and had a good range of cooking equipment as well as eggs, milk and bread in the fridge. We loved the privacy and the space, being surrounded by lovely gardens. There were 2 washing machines and a drier in the guest laundry as well as a washing line and large clothes rack in the cottage itself. Everything that you need!

You are on a bit of a limb and really need to use your car or get an Uber in the evening if you want to eat out. Also we would have like a couple more mugs.

Very private and very well provisioned with breakfast covered for at least 1 day. Very comfortable beds and spacious living area not counting huge deck area and gardens. Close to Hastings, Havelock and Napier and many wineries. Could not fault

We absolutely loved how comfortable, clean and tidy the cottage was. It’s beautifully nestled in the lush garden and it’s also very conveniently located. It’s very well-equipped - everything we needed for our stay was there.

Rose Cottage at the end of a private driveway was such a lovely setting , a beautiful cottage set in amongst gardens, very private and had everything we needed, Totally recommend , It was so close to bike trails, which we loved too. Thank you hosts.

Very clean cottage with modern furnishings, comfortable beds, great shower, groceries to make breakfast (eggs, bread, coffee, tea). Private surroundings.

No ottomans for more comfortable seating. No living room table lamps for more relaxed lounging and reading.

We couldn't rate Lawn Cottages highly enough. The location was very quiet, in well kept gardens, easy access to Hastings and Clive, by car. The cottage was very modern inside, and everything we needed was provided for, even down to a first aid kit! The detail was impressive. The kitchen was well kitted out. Laundry was on site, which was really important to us and this was easy to access and use. . It felt modern, fresh and clean, just what we were looking for and it made our stay in Hastings so enjoyable.

Lovely quiet and private location . Well equipped and comfortable . Trip coincided with art deco festival in Napier so great timing .

Three largish steps up to the main level of the cottages had no rail - which looks nice but made it extremely difficult for elderly parent who uses two sticks or walking frame - had to almost carry her up the steps.

Found couch/seats uncomfortable. Spent time at the cottage and found lack of sports channels unusual. My husband was expecting to be able to watch Sky Sport.

Great location, peaceful, extremely comfortable and spacious. First class laundry facilities, which is greatly appreciated when travelling.

The position of Hydrangea cottage in the garden unfortunately did not benefit from the sunshine and light. Both my husband and I love light, this would have been an added bonus.

Beautiful, peaceful place to stay. We appreciated the fresh bread, milk and eggs to welcome us. Near the beach (best for looking or walking at not swimming) and also near an entrance to the bike bath which runs to Cape Kidnappers. A short drive to all the nearby towns.

If you don't have a car it may feel a little far from shops but it is very near the biking pathway for these who are cycling. This wasn't an issue for us though.

The cottage was outstanding. The most beautiful garden we have ever had in a property. So peaceful, it was like our own slice of heaven! The cottage inside was exceptionally clean, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Could not recommend highly enough.

It is a little sanctuary away from the crowds, peaceful and close to everywhere. Feel at home here. Stayed here before, will always come back. Highly recommend.

I had to leave.

Easy instructions to follow . On arrival we got keys from a lock box, knew where to park. The cottage was very well equipped with beautiful linen and furniture. It was luxurious. We had our own private garden and area to sit with outdoor furniture and bbq. We liked watching the birdlife and rabbits in the mature garden area.
