Хороший небольшой отель. Очень приятные работники на ресепшене, всегда помогали в выбором локаций, помогли вызвать такси в аэропорт (вышло дешевле чем в Убере). Чекин был поздний, а чекаут в 3 утра из-за рейсов, никаких проблем с этим не было, встретили и проводили. Все чисто и аккуратно. Тихий район, но при этом недалеко от центра. Рядом набережная и много кафе

I really appreciated the owners and their hospitality. The location was very convenient because it was close to the event I attended. I also loved that there were many restaurants, shops, markets, and other amenities nearby, which made my stay much easier and more comfortable

The atmosphere surrounding the property. Also, it mattered a lot the chance to use a AC when the room got too warm during some days.

The pillows were strange. Couldn't adapt to their softness and swish. While I consider the property good, the biggest flaw of the room was the width of its walls. Especially the wall towards neighbouring bathroom made a lot of moments quite annoying. Because of how thin the walls were, you could here each flush... and more, as well as when someone was showering. This last part was quite annoying when some other guests arrived late in the evening and showered. After you could here them walking on the stairs, you could here loud how they showered. To be fair, after the first evening which was almost awful, i started to get used. So overall, it wad good during sleep, but the noise from one room to another was whenever some watched smthing, talked a bit louder or went to bathroom. There were some stains on the bed and a towel. The issue with the buildings in this area is that they seem to be built in a rush, which affects the stay. But overall, one's stay should be good.

Vlasnik hotela je sjajan i ljubazan čovek, kao i njegov sin. Potrudili su se da se osetimo dobrodošlo i bili su uvek tu da pomognu ako je potrebno. Nudili su se da pomognu i oko parkinga. Pošto hotel nema sopstveni parking, može se parkirati odmah pored hotela na privatnom parkingu (oko 15 eur dnevno) ili na neki od obližnjih gradskih parkinga (oko 9 eur dnevno). Lokacija je blizu najvažnijih lokaliteta u Istanbulu. Soba je izuzetno čista.

Ovo nije zamerka, već više napomena za one potencijalne goste koji ne podnose napor ili se brzo umaraju uz stepenice. Pošto je naš četvorokrevetni studio bio na poslednjem spratu bez lifta (3.spratu), bilo je teško više puta dnevno doći do gore uzanim malim stepenicama. Posebno posle duge šetnje po gradu.

Zimmer sind kompakt jedoch gut ausgestattet, Klimaanlage, Dusche mit ordentlich Druck ist vorhanden. Der Preis und die Lage sind eigentlich immer ein Besuch wert. Vor der Tür gibt es einen Kiosk.

This was my 2nd stay at Sand Door hotel - I liked it so much I extended my time there and maybe spent about 10 days total at the hotel. The 2nd room was top floor and larger with 2 beds which was nice. Staff here is great and it's a very cool location in the old city close to many of the things you would want to see and restaurants etc.

Nothing really disappointed me about the place - perhaps the internet could have been stronger on 2nd floor but it worked well most of the time, I mentioned this to the owner and he was going to fix it I think so this shoudn't be a problem.

Prime location. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions such as the Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, etc. not to mention near a list of great local restaurants and shops. The room was small but was very clean and had everything we could need, including a fridge and microwave. The owners were very nice and super helpful in giving us helpful tips on how we could best take advantage of the two days we had to spend in the area. Take advantage of letting them set up the transfer/taxi service. We didn't and the price from the airport to the hotel was way more than their price. I honestly just ran out of time and didn't feel right about asking them to pick us up same day. Coffee at the hotel was great! Overall, great experience. Will stay here again if in the area.

I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back! As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel was always spotless, and the entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful. A special thank you to the cleaning lady, who was so sweet. Everyone made me feel welcome, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul!

We had amazing stay in Istanbul at Sand Door. The location, clean rooms - everything made our experience more than pleasant. The owner is very kind and also gave us some great advises on what to see, what transportation to use, arranged airport transfer and etc.. - thank you for everything! Whenever I am going back to Istanbul I will for sure stay again at Sand Door, highly recommend it to everyone.

The staff is very nice. Both young man and the owner that we met were helpful whenever we asked anything. The location is pretty good. It's a walking distance from the Blue Mosque, Yenikapı station (where you can take a bus or a subway, and even a ferry that goes out of Istanbul), tram station and Grand Bazaar (the latter two you have to go up a steep hill though). There are a lot of cafes and shops around, some of them with good prices. All in all, there's pretty much everything a tourist needs IMHO. The room was clean, we didn't notice any dirt.

We had a room on the top of the building and I think that affected how fast our room heated or cooled, so I recommend specifying you don't want the top floor (maybe that was part of the discount from the hotel). Also, the noise cancelation wasn't very good both from the inside and the outside. It's not very bad, but I can imagine that irritating sensitive people. The location of the hotel makes it a bit harder for taxis to get there from other parts of the city (like Taksim or Kadıköy). So, yeah, the location is a double-edged sword. The room itself is pretty compact, not much space if, say, you want to exercise yoga or something. Same goes for the bathroom. Wi-fi sometimes works erratically. Might be important for those who need stable network connection for work.

This is an outstanding value to stay in the old town of Istanbul, very conveniently located near most of the popular attractions. I like this neighborhood of Kumkapi as it has everything you might need (lots of restaurants and convenience stores etc) but isn't 100% tourist focused like some others in Istanbul. The prices are better here and it has more of a "working neighborhood" vibe. The hotel itself is super clean with excellent amenities, things look new and well maintained. Comfy beds, nice AC, excellent staff - it's quiet too. The owner Orshan (I am definitely spelling that wrong, sorry!) speaks perfect English and is a very nice guy who can give you a lot of great recommendations on what to do with your time in the city. He used to run some of the fancy corporate hotels in Sultanahmet and his attention to detail shows in the way he has set up this independent hotel and how he takes care of his guests. I ended up extending my stay here and stayed for over 10 days or something. When I come back to Istanbul I will certainly stay here again and highly recommend it.

10/10 honestly no complaints whatsoever about my stay. I guess if you really hate walking uphill perhaps you might stay in sultanahmet or something because their is a slight uphill walk to get to the main sights, but it's really not a big deal at all. This neighborhood is actually great.

Отель очень понравился, хороший ремонт в номере, было чисто и уютно😊 Номера действительно небольшие, но это не самое главное в случае, когда отель - просто место для сна) Было всё необходимое: очень комфортная кровать (что размер, что матрас), чайник, две кружки, фен, сейф, мини-холодильник, сахар и чай докладывали при уборке, которая производилось по просьбе, то же самое касалось и туалетных принадлежностей, в ванной все также было чисто, хороший напор воды, отсутствие плесени, чистые полотенца. Единственное, что хотелось бы, чтобы присутствовало в номере это: хотя бы одна тарелка и столовые приборы. Местоположение отеля неплохое, примерно 10 минут до трамвайной остановки и около 20 до метро.

Отличное расположение, рядом достопримечательности, метро, трамвай. Тихое место, чистый номер, любезный персонал. В номере есть все необходимое, уборка по запросу.

Это Чудесный отель! 1. Прекрасное расположение. Район тихий, по ночам не шумно. До ближайшего трамвая идти минут 10. До всех достопримечательности района Фатих идти минут ~15-20. Рядом есть небольшие магазины с продуктами, а если спуститься вниз по улице можно наткнуться на большое количество заведений с приятными ценами. 2. Чистота в отеле. Есть все необходимое для проживания. Вся мебель в хорошем состоянии. Отдельно можно воспользоваться услугами прачечной. 3. Хозяин отеля! Очень приятный мужчина. Всегда встретит вас с улыбкой и если возникнут трудности с чем либо, он поможет их решить.

The hotel was really nice and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and everything was great overall. The best part for us was definitely the staff. Everyone was so kind, friendly, and always ready to help. They were really warm and responsive, which made us feel welcome and made our stay even better. Thank you!

Great location that is walking distance to the top tourist attractions, but tucked away in an area surrounded by restaurants with great local food that was reasonably priced. Very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Workers were very friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed the dinner recommendations. Good wifi. Highly recommend.

The staff was very positive and helpful through our stay . They even helped us booking our taxi to the airport . The room was very clean and cozy . The area was safe , even though it might not look like at first , it is a safe area . The room had unlimited hot water , and great Wi-Fi which made our stay better . I would definitely recommend to everyone who wants a good price , high quality room near Aghia Sofia (25 mins on foot )

Мы приехали в этот отель уже второй раз. Он находится в центре города. Отель очень чистый, недавно был ремонт. Отличный душ с горячей водой, кабинка, которая помогает сохранить ванную комнату сухой. Мощный кондиционер, который не даёт замерзнуть. И вся остальная техника в пригодном состоянии. Хозяева отеля: Озхан и Рамазан - замечательные люди, всегда готовы помочь, решить любые вопросы, общительные и вежливые. В отеле чувствуешь себя, как дома, очень комфортно и тёплая атмосфера. Если мы снова поедем в Стамбул, то обязательно остановимся снова в этом отеле.

Todo perfecto. Personal super amable, instalaciones limpias e iguales que en las fotografías. Servicio de limpieza de las habitaciones impecable y solo van si lo solicitas (no entran sin tu permiso). Ubicación excelente, nosotros hemos ido a todos los monumentos turísticos principales caminando. Relación calidad - precio de 10!

Príjemné posedenie vonku na terase. S možnosťou zakúpenia viac druhov kávy a čaj. Veľmi čisté izby i kúpeľňa s wc. Na požiadanie toaletný papier i čisté uteráky. Domáci sa k nám choval úctivo a rad sa porozprával a čokoľvek ochotne poradil. Vchod ku schodisku k ubytovaniu bol situovaný zvlášť s vlasným kľúčom. Neprechádzate cez recepciu. V okoli sa dá výborne najesť za prijateľnú cenu.

Schody úzke s batožinou trosku problémové. A menšia dvojlôžková izba, ostatné majú väčší priestor.

Hôtel très propre, rien à dire, la literie était confortable et le ménage fait à la demande à la perfection. Il est très bien situé à quelques minutes du tram, métro et bus. Proche commerces et restaurants. Les principaux lieux touristiques à une dizaine de minutes à pied . Les gérants sont très aimables et serviables. La chambre était un peu petite mais sinon tout le reste était impeccable.

Peut-être la côte à grimper pour rejoindre le tramway comme je ne suis pas une grande sportive 😅. Mais l’emplacement est bien 👍🏼.

Месторасположение отличное, все в пешей доступности. Уборка в номере по запросу. Все фото соответствуют действительности. Магазинов рядом много. Улица не шумная. В номере было тепло (март 2026). Соотношение цена качество - хорошо! В общем рекомендую

Кровать немного узковата и матрас слишком мягкий. Пожелание: можно было бы в общей зоне поставить микроволновку

It's okay. The receptionist are welcoming and friendly. They move us to a much better room, when the first room has some issues with the heater. Thank goodness they move us because the first room is cramped. The bathroom was clean and doesn't have that bad smell which is a very good thing.

There were ladies who are hangging out at the small receiving area, they stared at me and my boyfriend when we went down from the stairs, one lady asked us if we needed the room to be cleaned I just realised she's the cleaning lady so I said yes and handed her the keys to our room. But when we come back, she just cleared our bins, yes our trash, change towels and floor mats but our room was still not cleaned. I literally changed the beddings by myself. I'm not sure if the cleaning staff needs to be paid separately to do their job right or something. The hotel is small, so they only have stairs and no lifts...we were moved to 3rd level since the first room that was assigned to us has a faulty heater.

Un hotel excelente para alojarse en Estambul. Habitaciones restauradas, muy bien cuidadas y limpias. El personal es muy atento y siempre está dispuesto a ayudarte en lo que sea, con honestidad. El barrio es perfecto si quieres experimentar el Estambul auténtico. Es muy seguro y tiene muchos restaurantes y tiendas alrededor. Además, el hotel está a un corto paseo del Gran Bazar y de la Mezquita de Suleimán, y también muy cerca de Sultanahmet. Para repetir sin dudarlo.

Симпатичный ремонт, хорошее расположение, чисто, приятный владелец, 15 минут до станции метро, 15 минут до Софии, вокруг много продуктовых Вход сторожит пушистый кот, не забывайте подкармливать его, если будете тут останавливаться

El personal del establecimiento, al igual que la gente turca, son muy majos y sobretodo dispuestos a ayudar. Puedes confiar tus decisiones en las recomendaciones que te dan, nosotras lo hicimos y estamos muy contentas de haberles hecho caso. Muchas gracias, ha sido una muy buena experiencia.

In half of the room there was no electricity, fridges and some lights did not work, I have reported and been promised someone will fix it. Nothing happened no apologies or anything. Very small room pretty much only bed was there. The WiFi broke after 4 days...

Tout. Excellent dans tous les points. Proche de tout, très très propre. Équipe très humaine et disponible à toute heure. Nettoyage de la chambre à la demande, ils empiètent pas votre vie privée. Tout est parfait. Quartier très local donc prix très accessibles autour.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Sandor Hotel. Le personnel est très accueillant, professionnel et toujours disponible. La chambre était propre, confortable et bien entretenue. L’emplacement est idéal, proche des principaux sites et très pratique pour se déplacer. Je recommande vivement cet établissement et n’hésiterai pas à y revenir lors de mon prochain séjour.
