Skipper's Karon

Matt & Ann are incredible hosts! We felt so welcomed by them, nothing was ever a hassle, and we felt instantly at home and relaxed. On top of that, it is a great guesthouse with everything spotlessly clean, the room super comfy (& large!), with everything really easy.

I'm not sure you can improve on perfection!

Нам понравилось абсолютно все!!! Хозяева Мэт и Энн замечательные и доброжелательные люди! А пара их четвероногих друзей просто очаровашки!!!)) Видно, что хозяева болееют за свое дело. Если возникали какие-то вопросы или нужна была помощь быстро все решали. Номер чистый, просторный, светлый. В номере все есть, бытовая техника новая и в исправном состоянии. Душевая и туалет просторные, вся сантехника в рабочем состоянии, напор воды хороший и главное нет даже намека на плесень или ее запах. По желанию можно заказывать еду здесь же, в гостевом доме есть своя кухня и мини бар (Мэт готовит просто потрясающие бургеры и кофе по-ирландски! советуем попробовать). Для любителей бильярда - есть бильярдные столы. Локация отличная - в центре, но не шумно; рядом много ресторанчиков и кафешек на любой вкус и кошелек, магазинчиков и магазинов 7/11, массажных салонов, обменников, прокатных и экскурсионных бюро, до пляжа Карон 7-10 минут не быстрым шагом, сам пляж достаточно чистый, вода чистая. Вечером можно полюбоваться прекрасными закатами. Рядом с пляжем автобусная остановка, автобус ходит регулярно по графику. Если получится, то с удовольствием отдохнем в этом гостевом доме еще раз.

Восхитительное место! Комната большая, светлая и уютная. Удобная кровать, всегда чистое и свежее постельное белье, комната прекрасно обставлена, есть все необходимое для комфортного проживания. Прекрасный вид из окна. Ночью тихо. Расположение очень удобное, до пляжа 5-7 мин. Вся необходимая инфраструктура рядом - рестораны, массажи, аптеки, магазины. Мэтт и Энн замечательные хозяева, очень гостеприимные и добродушные. А бургеры, которые нам готовил Мэтт, лучшие, что мы пробовали в своей жизни. Еще там были чудесные домашние питомцы, которые встречали и радовали наш взгляд каждое утро. Очень довольны жильем, еще обязательно сюда вернемся. Всем рекомендуем. 10 из 10.

Séjour au top au Skipper’s Homestay à Karon ! La literie est très confortable, ce qui permet de bien se reposer après les journées de découverte. Le personnel est vraiment adorable, toujours souriant et disponible, avec une mention spéciale pour le patron qui est super sympa et aux petits soins. L’emplacement est idéal : à proximité des boutiques, des bars et des restaurants, tout en étant situé dans une petite rue calme, donc aucun bruit de la vie nocturne. Et en plus, la plage est toute proche ! Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour un séjour réussi à Karon 👍

We spent 4 very pleasant nights at Skipper’s. The first thing we noticed was the cleanliness, Ann works very hard to keep the place absolutely spotless. Our 2nd floor, front facing room was very spacious and had a usable balcony. The room itself was well equipped with a full size fridge and a table/chairs for those who wish to dine in. There were also simple , thoughtful things, like a bottle opener and a wireless speaker. The location was perfect for us, 10 minutes to the beach, close to numerous restaurants, bars, shops etc. Whilst we were only one block away from the busy strip, there was no noise. Thanks to Ann, Matt and their charming pets’ for a very enjoyable stay. I recommend Skipper’s 100%.

Location excellent...couple of minutes walk to beach and liafs of choice of places to eat. Owners are amazingly friendly and their dogs and cat are to die for!!! Always hapoy to help and the room was spotless. The steak sandwich is highly recommended. Do not hesitate to book. Charging points in the room a nice touch.

Matt очень приветливый и отзывчивый хозяин guesthouse. Комната была чистой и полностью соответствовала фотографиям, было все необходимое для проживания, рядом находился 7/11. До пляжа было 5 минут, рядом много очень хороших массажей и заведений покушать. Особенно понравились домашние питомцы - такса Chilli, мопс Fatt, и очень дружелюбный кот Smoky. Также Matt разрешил быть в комнате дольше после времени выселения, так как был поздний самолет. Большое спасибо! Жилье и отдых на 10/10

Great location, close to the sea (we rented a motorbike), cleanliness, very stylish and polite hosts, and, of course, two dogs and a cat. Thank you so much for the nine nights we spent there.

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana nella guesthouse di Matt ed Ann, ed è stato fantastico! Camera molto spaziosa, con tutti i confort per stare più giorni: microonde, bollitore, fornitura per mangiare, essenziali, e oltre! Tutto molto curato. Posizione comodissima nel mezzo di Karon in zona tranquilla e silenziosa, a poche centinaia di metri dalla spiaggia e vicino a ristoranti, centri massaggi, Exchange, bar e Seven Eleven. La struttura inoltre dispone di ristorante e bar, abbiamo mangiato due volte qui e Matt ci ha fatto provare il brisket migliore mai mangiato così come la bistecca di Angus australiano e hamburger! Tutto veramente buonissimo! Ci sentiamo di consigliarlo vivamente tra un pasto Thai e l'altro. Notti sempre perfette e riposanti, la struttura permette nella zona bar di giocare a carte o farsi una chiacchierata sorseggiando qualcosa e giocare a bigliardo! Veramente una settimana di esplorazioni e relax puro! Da non dimenticare le mascotte: Chilli e Fat, due cagnoline fantastiche e super coccolose! Siamo stati veramente benissimo e torneremmo subito se possibile! Un ringraziamento speciale per l'ospitalità a Matt ed Ann!

Чудесное место! Комната большая, светлая, уютная, чистая. Продуманы все мелочи для удобства проживания. Кровать чудесная, постельное белье приятно пахнет, есть пляжные полотенца, большой холодильник, красивая посуда, коврики. Нам очень понравилось и хотелось остаться здесь подольше. Хозяева очень приятные и добрые люди! Расположение отеля очень удобное, до пляжа 5-7 мин, рестораны и магазины рядом, ночью тихо.

Camera spaziosa e pulita bene, con tutti i confort, climatizzatore, frigorifero, terrazzino e TV, per chi ne ha bisogno. Microonde e bollitore. Letto enorme e molto confortevole, non durissimo come in vari posti in Thailandia, forse i cuscini un po' alti per le nostre abitudini. La notte non abbiamo sentito nessuno rumore che possa infastidire il sonno. Host poco invadenti ma presenti ogni volta che hai bisogno, sempre con un sorriso per noi.

Локация очень удобная на Кароне, ночной рынок, прогулочные зоны, пляж, кафе, салоны массажа, магазины в пешей доступности - 7-10 минут. Сам номер идеальный, комфортный, стильный, чистый, продуман для гостей до каждой мелочи: от кондиционера до музыкальной колонки, от полотенец на пляж до красивого набора посуды для питания👌😍 Балкон выходит на тихую улицу и небольшой тропический оазис. Кровать, матрас, подушки все высшего класса и очень удобные! Очень понравилось отношение к гостям, на протяжении всего проживания мы чувствовали себя как в гостях у наших друзей. Дружелюбно, с большим вниманием и уважением, с искренним интересом, спасибо Мэтт и Энн. Милые собачки Чилли и Фэт встречали нас каждое утро. Это место и его хозяева удостоены всех возможных звезд💯💫💫💫💫💫💫💫❤️

Хотим дать очень высокую оценку отелю Skippers. Нам всё очень понравилось от дружелюбного персонала до расположения отеля (шли до пляжа 6 мин). Нас очень хорошо встретили, помогли с ранним заездом, в отеле можно очень вкусно поесть. В такие места хочется возвращаться!

Large apartment, x2 larger than other 2 apartments we rented later in Kata and Rawai areas. After Skipper’s Karon other 2 places were much worse despite of higher cost. Overall vibe and atmosphere. Owner Matt and his Family are absolutely awesome and warm people. 2 cute dogs. Australian cousin is top. We came late in the evening after check out and got free shower and towels. Thank you Matt for your kindness, and best luck.

Удобное расположение, все, что нужно есть рядом, но при этом сама улица тихая и без суеты. Отдельно хочу отметить прекрасных хозяев Мэтта и Энн. Очень душевные и позитивные, всегда помогали если у нас возникали сложности. Мэтт прекрасно готовит, за время проживания мы попробовали все меню и все очень вкусное. Еще есть 2 милые собачки и котики. Отличный гестхаус, куда хочется вернуться.

A wonderful hotel with very welcoming hosts – Matt and Anne. The location is fantastic, on a side street, away from the noise of the main road, but still very close to everything. The beach is 5 minutes away, and there are tons of places to eat nearby – restaurants, bars. But I highly recommend trying their steaks – Matt will cook them for you in 5 minutes – it's the best meat I've had in Phuket. They also have two dogs and cats. Chile is now forever in my heart. We'll be back!

Большой чистый номер со всем необходимым, включая большой холодильник, тостер, микроволновку, чайник, необходимая посуда, фен. Excellent place, quiet, central, owners super nice. Room is very big, everything clean. The gym inside is a great added value, small but good for any workout.

Everything was wonderful. The location was perfect. The food was great. The gym shower before our flight was amazingly helpful! Matt and Ann were super friendly. Loved how he called us Mate like we were already good friends. They were truly genuine, good people we enjoyed getting to know.

The hot water seemed to only work if the water pressure was low.

Отдыхали в этом отеле 3 дня, жаль что на оставшийся отдых он был занят, нам было важно расположение относительно моря и отсутствие шума ночью) эти пункты полностью оправданы 👍🏽 Но и в остальном отельчик очень хороший, те минусы что есть в других отзывах имеются, но нас они не особо парили, да крутая лестница, но такое здание, его уже не переделать, да вода не прям горячая была иногда, тоже подстроились и мылись когда кондиционер еще не охладил помещение и в этом случае освежающая водичка была даже в кайф, номер уютный, как на фото, чистый, у нас был 4ый. В номере есть абсолютно все, тостер, холодильник, микроволновка, фен, сушилка для белья, уколонка!, полотенца не потрепанные, лежанки для пляжа опрятные, все постираное и приятно пахнет, мыло, шампуни, гели, крючки, полочки в ванной для полотенец, в душе вода не растекается по всему туалету. Приятная девушка встретила нас, проводила, все показала, приехали поздно, уставшие, даже не зарекнулась про деньги, залоги, сразу дала ключи и отправила в номер отдыхать, так же просили второе одеяло, тоже принесли чистое свежее без проблем, две милые собачки и кот еще там живут. Обстановка в отеле уютная, домашняя, один раз завтракали, все было вкусно. Успели воспользоваться небольшим тренажерным залом, для поддерживающей тренировки было всё что нужно. Фрукты и массаж у отеля на самом деле по хорошим ценам, так как находятся немного в закутке, до пляжа пешком минут 7. Брали байк в аренду, нам выделили парковочное место прям у крыльца. Если еще будем на Пхукете на Кароне, то только сюда 👍🏽

Все отлично ! Очень просторный и светлый номер !! Самое главное что действительно чисто ! Приветливый хозяин,очень вежливый! видно что следит за порядком , в номере все блестит !!🥰 постельное пахнет вкусно , полотенца свежие ! Есть одеяла на пляж ) чайник , фен, сейф, даже удобные зарядные устройства с разными разъемами) 2 милые собачки живут внизу )) дочка играла с ними 🥰

Это была отличная неделя, проведенная в чудесном небольшом отеле. В нем только плюсы, и ничего отрицательного замечено не было: - комната большая - есть всё необходимое - сейф, микроволновка (!), тостер, чайник, большой холодильник, тарелки, ложки/вилки/ножи и нормального размера кружки (а это вечная боль отелей, всегда в номерах кружки на один глоток воды😂) - тихий кондиционер и он не дует вам на пастель, и ваш сон будет отличным!! - огромная кровать, очень удобный матрас и подушки и есть нормальное одеяло. Поэтому сон как у младенца)) - есть балкон и 2 стула. Вид на главный вход и пальмы)) - отличная сантехника, горячая вода; шторка и коврик нескользящий в душевой кабине (это прям редкость); гель для душа и шампунь - фен - стол и 4 стула - вешалки для вещей - чай/кофе, вода пополнялись - уборка если нужна, то просто разместите табличку и ее сделают - цена на новогодние праздники была очень адекватной (но мы бронировали заранее, больше чем за полгода). Платили на месте в батах, залога не было. Уезжали мы рано утром и поэтому ключи оставили на ресепшене, никаких проверок номера не было) Комната очень светлая!! Отель находится в 5 минутах от пляжа Карон, но на тихой улочке, поэтому гул от транспорта и шум из баров не слышен. Рядом с отелем есть 7/11, кафешки, лавка с фруктами, аптека, массажи и прочее. Рядом со входом в отель можно помыть ноги от песка. Но главное - это Мэтт и его помощница!! Очень милые, дружелюбные и готовые помочь по любым вопросам!! А еще в отеле есть 2 добродушные собаки и кот) Наше пребывание в отеле было отличным!! Мы рекомендуем его 100% и обязательно вернемся!!

Кто хочет отдохнуть уютно с комфортом и по домашнему , это сюда. До моря спокойным шагом 5-10 мин. Хотите питаться дома пожалуйста. Хотите в ресторанах все вокруг вас. А самое вкусное мясо у хозяина , его зовут Метт.

Проживание понравилось полностью, а особенно комфорт, чистота, дружелюбие Мэтта и Анн. Сложилась ситуация, когда мне пришлось уехать раньше намеченного срока. Мэтт помог организовать возврат денежных средств и без проблем вернул их. Обязательно вернусь к ним снова! Отдых получился отличным

A small oasis in the center of Karon, very nice and welcoming hosts, a spacious and clean room with a very fast internet connection and quiet air conditioning, if I have the chance, I will definitely come back!

Well, what can I say? Our stay at Skipper's Karon was simply magnificent. The location is just perfect. You are close to the beach and all the entertainment, restaurants, and shops, but at the same time, the hotel is very quiet and pleasant to sleep in. The room is very clean and spacious. The owners are a wonderful couple who make you feel right at home. We also tried the Australian beef burger, and it was simply delicious. Next time we return to Phuket, we will definitely stay at this guest house.

Все очень понравилось, спасибо большое за то, что была возможность остаться чуть дольше и без дополнительных денег. Отдыхал и раньше в этом районе в данном месте ночью очень тихо и с улицы нет постороннего шума. Апартаменты чистые и после недавнего ремонта. Хозяева очень приятные люди!

Hosts were very lovely, friendly and easy going. Location is great. The room was big, comfortable and clean. We liked the style and colours of the whole place. We also had great breakfast there.

No meals included, but the hotel had a restaurant on the ground floor that served delicious food all day. Breakfast was wonderful as was our steak dinner.

Absolutely amazing place! Matt and Ann are such fabulous hosts who honestly can’t do enough for you. The attention to detail that’s gone into making this such an outstanding place to stay doesn’t go unnoticed! Wish I could’ve scored more than a 10! Large spacious and immaculately clean rooms. Comfiest beds we’ve slept in and best shower we’ve had during out 3 weeks in Thailand. Matt’s cooking is top notch 👌 I could go on and on about how amazing this place is! Great guest house! Decorated in a surfing style, there is a pool table and bar. Spacious, bright and incredibly clean rooms and smell clean. Large bed with a soft mattress, sofa, full table for four for eating and working. The room has everything, even a toaster and smart TV. Two cute dogs and a cat meet and see you off. There are many different establishments nearby, the beach is about 5 minutes away. The guest house is run by a family, really nice people. Matt and Ann, thanks for your hospitality! 🤘🏻

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at Skipper's Hotel. Many thanks to Matt and Ann for the great mood and service. Our son will always remember the dogs he was always happy to see. I also mention the incredibly delicious food that Matt cooks. We tried the traditional burger and pizza and were very satisfied. Thank you! We recommend it 100% and we will definitely come back!

Everything was perfect!

I totally loved staying at Skippers! The owners of the place were the cutest and make the visit 10/10. The location is just a few hundred meters from the Karon beach, close to the restaurants and shops but still really quiet and calm area (this surprised me as everything is so close). Matt makes superb breakfast and I got the best oatmeal I’ve eaten for a while (and it felt like being at home after many weeks of thai food). Room was really clean and the bed was great. If you plan to visit Karon, this is your place to be!

Huge room, very clean, bed was so comfy! Proper brekkie in the morning.. 5-10 min walk from the beach, the hosts were so welcoming and friendly.. if I was ever visiting the area or knew someone who was I would 100% recommend this property 💗

This property is located in the heart of the Karon Beach area. It is walkable to Karon Circle to catch buses and Karon Beach—5—6 mins. There are lots of restaurants, massage places, shops, 7-11, and ATMs around the hotel. Matt and Ann are kind and helpful people, and their two dogs give you a warm welcome every time you step in. We stayed in room #1. It is spacious and well-equipped with a safebox, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, plates, bowls, and cutlery. We also got beach mats. The bathroom is also spacious. The AC is amazingly quiet (can put all the US chain hotels like Marriott and other chains to shame with their noisy ACs). The bed is perfect. The balcony was a big plus if you want to spend time in the room. We were two women traveling from India. Matt always checked on us to ensure we were comfortable and felt safe. He gave us some helpful tips for transportation and the temple market. We also found vegetarian food, which was a big challenge in Bangkok. Ann is a talented craftsperson. She makes beautiful handmade bags and purses. Do check them out. Pls, note that this property only accepts cash as payment. I had not paid attention to this detail. Matt was kind enough to help me out.

Absolutely pristine clean! Matt and his wife were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Beach towels provided and loads of really useful intel on the area etc. loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

It's a family run hotel with comfy atmosphere.The place is located around 5-7 min walk from the Karon beach. The suite itself was large and spacious, had all the facilities included, especially beach towels were of a pleasant bonus. The owners were super friendly and helpful. The owner also offers a meal and cooks himself using healthy ingredients, the food is super delicious 😋. It's our first visit to Thailand, so we were a bit cautious about water supply, but the water in the showers was clearly sanitized, which was a great relief for us. Generally, we can only recommend this place, great value for money!

Matt and his wife are excellent hosts. You have everything you need in the room and it was spotless. Matt is an excellent cook and the food is a very high standard. I would recommend anyone to stay at the property.

Convenient location, comfortable accommodation, valuable local knowledge if you take the time to chat with your hosts, homely atmosphere, you will not find better value for you money. Matt and Anne are the perfect hosts, I recommend this accommodation to all travellers. We were obviously there to experience the Thai food, so we did not take advantage of the western food Matt prepares in the hotel however I did get to sample it and it was amazing, something I will not be missing out on next time.

The property was amazing, rooms were spotless and huge, exactly like the photos! It was in an amazing location on a slightly quieter street but only a 2 min walk to the more lively part of Karon! They had great facilities like pool, bar, TV where Matt put the footy and UFC on for us! Matt was great, an absolute perfect host! He offered advice on best places to go and costings of certain things which was really helpful! It was perfect in every sense of the word, we will definitely be back in the future!

This is not a hotel problem. The building next door was undergoing renovations, so noise can be heard during the day, but this is temporary.

Just about perfect. Very nice, large and clean room; wifi was really good, even for working (which I did). Position is quiet enough but very near the beach. The owner and his family are a gem, and the house pug and cats are precious for a quick cuddle when coming back "home". I would stay again here, it's that good. Ah, the restaurant too. Try it.

The perfect place to stay! This small and cozy guesthouse was mine home for 8 days and night. The room is including everything for ur comfortable stay - AC, TV, fridge, comfortable bed, balcony, warm water in shower, even beach blankets, safe. Perfectly nearby the Karon beach - just 3 minutes walking. Special thanks to owners - took care about everything I needed and asked. I had late checked in, so the owner has wait for me, also I had late return flight, so he provide me another room on my last day with shower and everything, so I could spent my last day on the beach. I asked for hairdryer - he found it for me. Helped me with taxi to airport during problems with finding taxi via apps. Everything was 10/10. Apartments looks exactly like on the photo. Toddler-friendly owners, dog and cats. Try 'The burger' Really thorough cleaning.

Excellent and budget accommodation option on Karon beach. The room is very spacious, has everything you need (refrigerator, safe, beach towels, powerful air conditioner). Cleaning is daily. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to the beach. The owners are very friendly, helped with ordering a taxi. A great option for your money, I will recommend it to my friends! Thank you for your hospitality!

The room was very spacious, modern and clean. The shower was hot and powerful, there was tea/coffee making facilities and a large fridge.The bed and pillows were super comfy and it was very peaceful at night. The location was brilliant, right in the heart of bars/restaurants and the beach . The owner matt was a really nice and friendly too.
