Ohh the aircon was not working but I liked the alterna Of the water bottle .The wifi also tends to be off but it’s manageable.

Very dark. No carpets on sides of bed, Tiles cold to stand on whilst getting dressed. Basin leaking water. One of the basin's taps out of order.

Very poor water pressure. Airconditioner above your head was dirty and remote did not function properly, later to hear its not the original remote. Shower floor filthy. Not an easy place to consider again unless drastic improvements are done.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2025The accomodation, garden and breakfast was lovely. The chocolates on the bed along with a hot water bottle per person and mini shower gels was a sign of care for the guests. We quite enjoyed our stayover.
Kitchen wasn't very clean. Cupboards need some cleaning and proper arrangements, especially if staying for longer. There were dishes left in the drying rack from the previous guests i assume. There was also frozen meats and sardines in the freezer along with bowls of cheese & margarine left in the fridge from previous guests. The care taker was also abit flustered upon our arrival, saying that we were too early and they were not done with the housekeeping although earlier check-in was arranged. Please note: accomodation offers aircon however you are not allowed to run the aircon due the increase of electricity usage. The hosts walked through the house when we left & switched off everything, saying that they do not have enough electricity to run aircons. They also open the fridge for unknown reasons. The outside area by the pool & pool was not clean.

From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and friendly welcome from our host, Yolandi, who was incredibly kind and supportive throughout our stay. The place is spotlessly clean, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to an executive room, which made our experience even more comfortable. The complimentary wine was superb, adding a special touch to our visit. Overall, the stay was absolutely worth it,peaceful, relaxing, and full of thoughtful hospitality. We would definitely recommend Grobler's Haven to anyone looking for a quality stay.

Reviewed May 12, 2025Very friendly owners. The manager, Macmillan, remembers my name from a previous visit and is the perfect host and very professional. The rooms are excellent and good value for money. The self catering apartment is very spacious, sleeps 3 people, a lounge with TV and a pool table, a kitchen and desk space for work. Good WiFi. There is a lovely swimming pool and grill area. Outside the bedroom on the first floor is a small balcony with a table and chairs for conversation in a peaceful and safe and private outdoor setting. Very comfortable and clean. Thanks, Yolandi and Macmillan, for your friendly and professional touch.

There was a TV, but no working channels. Seems that you have to sign in with own accounts to be able to watch anything. We stayed two nights, rooms were not made up after first night. No milk or clean cups for coffee on second morning.
