La ubicación

Nos dieron una habitación junto al restaurante, en el paso de todos los huéspedes y con ventana al patio donde se ubican mesas del restaurante. Había música y ruido todo el día y no era posible abrir la ventana porque las personas que transitaban por el patio nos veían. Aunque nos ofrecieron cambiarla por una bastante más pequeña, lo comento aquí porque creo que ese espacio no debería estar destinado a habitación

Nuestra experiencia en Sombra del Agua ha sido excelente. Fue justo lo que buscábamos: hotel céntrico, cómodo, con estacionamiento y con buen servicio. La habitación fue realmente cómoda, la cama fue genial y el silencio que se siente de noche se agradece mucho ya que al estar en una zona tan concurrida, temíamos no disfrutar nuestro descanso. El estacionamiento no está dentro del hotel pero está bastante cerca. Todo el equipo del hotel, desde los recepcionistas, personal de limpieza, vigilante de estacionamiento, todos, todos, son realmente amables y disponibles para ayudarte con cualquier duda o necesidad. Espero volver pronto.

Lo único que mejoraría sería la iluminación de las habitaciones. La luz cálida es muy cómoda y bonita pero siento que incluir otro tipo de luz más fuerte haría aun mejor la estancia. Es decir, poder elegir entre una luminosidad baja para descanso y comodidad y una más clara para las actividades que tenemos.

El restaurante del hotel es super bueno, la decoración es bonita y el personal muy amable.

Que no nos avisaron que había un interruptor que controla los contactos y luz del baño

Es un hotel con muchísimo encanto en el que además te puedes hacer una idea de lo que era una hacienda de estilo español.

Llegamos pronto por la mañana y habiendo habitaciones disponibles nos hicieron pagar por disfrutar de la habitación. Es algo que no es un problema de este hotel sino muy generalizado. No lo entiendo porque cuando llego más tarde de las 14:00 ó 15:00 h a los hoteles no me descuentan nada.

La ubicación es privilegiada, está a la mano todo lo que necesitas, los corredores, los restaurantes y demás!

No hay algo que pueda mencionar que no me guste, todo el hotel es su conjunto es maravilloso

El personal es muy amable, todos y cada uno de ellos excelente trato. El joven encargado de seguridad del estacionamiento muy amable y atento. La ubicación es excelente, las habitaciones súper limpias. Cuentan con aire acondicionado lo cual fue muy agradable porque estaba haciendo calor. todo muy bien la verdad.

La ubicación, el hotel en general era muy bonito

El ruido, nos dieron habitaciones entre las que había una puerta de servicio de la cual entraba y salía personal cada poco haciendo difícil descansar por el ruido que hacen las puertas.

Not really any dislikes, only minor observations: The rooms don't receive much natural light. Although I stayed in a room facing an inner courtyard with more natural light, even this room was a bit dark. In the bathroom the shower area and toilet area are divided with a glass wall, but it's lacking a door or something similar, so after a shower, the (cold!) floor on the toilet/sink side gets wet too, and the water doesn't run off somewhere making a toilet visit afterwards a bit unpleasant

El hotel es muy bonito, después de actividades se descansa super bien. Muy buena ubicación y realmente tiene unos jardínes hermosos.

Solo desayunamos una vez en su restaurante y la verdad, no cumplió mis expectativas. Por todo lo demás super cómodas y satisfechas.

I love this hotel so much! The beds are super comfortable, the staff are lovely, the location is perfect (close to the big market!), it's really really clean, and it's stylish and beautiful. The best!

Achtung: montags ist das Restaurant geschlossen. Leider waren die Empfehlungen der Rezeption auch geschlossen! Ärgerlich!

The staff were warm and welcoming. They ensured my stay was super pleasant and were responsive to small accommodations I requested. The building is impeccably kept and the courtyard is one of the loveliest dining spaces I know in San Cristóbal.

Beautiful property - common areas very presentable. The restaurant food was excellent. The service - everyone was professional. The location is ideal walkable to everything.

The mattresses need to be updated and some of the rooms have no outside sun light or windows.

Beautiful Spanish colonial–style building with a lovely atmosphere. The interior design blends modern Mexican style very nicely, and the garden is stylish and well maintained. The location is excellent, easy to walk around the historic center. The staff were very kind, professional, and helpful, which made our stay pleasant. A charming and well-located hotel with great design and attentive staff. A very good choice in San Cristóbal, especially if you plan early excursions.

Prime location right in the middle of San Cristobal, very close to every tour we had and all three andadores. Room was nice and spacious, staff was helpful.

Fantastisch mooie locatie die smaakvol ingericht is. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer is voldoende ruim en het bed is zalig! Zeker een aanrader voor je verblijf in San Cristobal de las Casas!

Het water in de douche was niet heel warm. De kwaliteit van de wasdienst kon beter. We hebben een mand met kledij laten wassen voor 190 pesos, maar enkele kledingsstukken waren niet proper. De vlekken heb ik er nadien zelf nog uitgekregen met een handwas.

The bed was very comfortable. The staff was amazing. The location was perfect. What I had for dinner at the restaurant was delicious and creative.

The location of the room was next to a very loud busy street. Luckily I am an early riser or I would have been requesting a room change because of it.

Overall a wonderful place with friendly staff in a convenient location.

We had two rooms. One was more functional than the other, which had an odd and inconvenient layout. The staff was kind, but sometimes a little clueless. There was only lukewarm water in the shower, and the water pressure was weak. The parking lot is some distance away from the hotel.

Everything was exceptional, the location, the food, the service. They even contact me to send a taxi to the airport to pick me up. The decorations are beautiful.

Sombra del Agua is a beautiful hotel in the very center of San Cristóbal. The staff is super professional and helpful, they helped us book a tour and were always kind and available. Breakfast was exceptionally good, we couldn’t try the restaurant for a full meal but I imagine it was as well. Super experience

Minor nitpick: the place is wonderful without the need for the fake water+bird sounds record played in the court in the middle of the rooms :).

L'Hôtel est magnifique et le personnel parfait. Nous avons même pu faire laver notre linge pour une somme plus que raisonnable. Très belle décoration, beaucoup d'espace, lits très confortables et salle de bains aussi.

Nous avons été un peu déçus par la Chambre Double Supérieure qui ne correspondait pas tout à fait aux photos (pas de porte fenêtre ni de cheminée). Elle était située au RDC et il n'était pas possible d'ouvrir les fenêtres pour aérer car la rue est bruyante et très passante donc tout le monde voit l'intérieur de ce côté . Assez sombre à cause des rideaux qui ne se tiraient pas en entier et peu de possibilité de faire sécher ses serviettes (nous étions 3). Peut-être faut-il demander une chambre en étage?
