Good staff and great breakfast
Lack of parking
Spacious triple room. Nice staff, good breakfast.
Having to park in local car park which was a short walk away.
Plenty of choice. Hot food served quickly and not made to feel we needed to eat quickly.
Nothing
Lovely quiet room and comfortable
No evening meals or snacks available in evening
The staff were all friendly and welcoming. It was lovely to see them smiling in their work. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was well cooked and presented.
I had to FIND my room, because the signage was not complete. The black mould under the shower door was disgusting. The room lighting was dingy at best. There was a distinct lack of maintenance evident, such as loose tiles and tired fittings.
Nothing as I did a review previously and you only showed the good part
Alot
The location was great, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was good
The bathroom was in need of an update, just little things like mildew starting in the shower sealant, and shower door.
It was clean and comfortable
No fridge in rooms
Hotel usytuowany jest w centrum miasta. Z widokiem na zamek. Blisko do plaży. W pobliżu sklepy i puby, restauracje. Bardzo smaczne śniadanie i obsługa kelnerska.
Brak parkingu.
The location is absolutely stunning
Unfortunately I’d say the rooms are very dated, probably due a facelift
Breakfast could have been a little some areas. Good location. Very friendly and attentive staff.
No parking outside hotel which new about but that was only issue.
Breakfast was fine. Staff and service excellent. Ingredients budget but fine for money paid. I think the only thing I could fault was the TV was a bit small and difficult to see.
All good
Location, friendly staff and clean rooms.
Car park missing.
We stayed here with bikes and had a very nice stay indeed. Value for money ! Fantastic breakfast choice from a menu. After cycling from Cardiff and staying in some ‘interesting’ accommodation - this was a real treat !
Its location
The hotel was lovely the staff very welcoming had an issue with 2 locals outside hotel who were very aggressive and rude but the manager and staff were brilliant during this ordeal and for something like this to happen outside there hotel really shook up my grandson and daughter could have ruined our 1st visit to Criccieth. But staff diffused the situation quickly and could praise them up for how they dealt with it amazing
On 1st arriving outside we parked probably wrong Llysfaen in a pull in but the reaction from the couple who's parking it was was outrageous very aggressive and threatening its such a shame because it would put me off returning something needs to be done as I'm sure for 1st customers has put me off returning which I feel gutted for the management and staff having to deal with this.
The location of the hotel was great, only about 5 minutes from the sea front - and the room was spacious with a good sized bathroom and a hair dryer, plus plenty of towels. There was a bar downstairs which I didn't go to, but good to know it was available.
It wasn't made clear on booking that there was no parking for guests, and after driving from the south coast to get there I was quite tired and had assumed that a hotel of that size would have somewhere obvious to park. The hotel is on the main road so not easy to stop outside to find out where the parking is - in the end I parked in a restricted parking bay almost opposite the hotel and had to pop in to find out about parking. The lady on reception was very matter of fact and said no parking at the hotel but didn't offer any suggestion of where else to park, which was a bit disappointing. The information on the hotel also suggested there was a restaurant, but when I asked about that the lady on reception was again a bit blunt and just said "there's no restaurant" - I would have hoped for at least a suggestion of where else to try. The other down side was that I had kept the bedroom windows open as it was quite warm, and then I was woken up at 1am by a group of people who must have just come out of a pub close by who were being very noisy right outside the hotel. Obviously this can't be blamed on the hotel, but it would have been good to have some way of keeping the room cool if the windows needed to be shut. As a result I didn't sleep very well and after my experience of the night before decided not to stay for breakfast.
One night weekend break comfy room good evening entertainment and an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice would recommend...
Couldn't fault it
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the view was nice and the water pressure in the shower better than any other place we had stayed.
A bit ugly and run down but it was fine.
The lounge and bar area were lovely and entertainment good. Staff very nice and good choice of drinks available. Breakfast was exceptional and came out quickly. Full English pot of coffee and fresh juice.
Nothing at all.
Colchao
Big room
Smelt a bit stale
Nice large spacious room.
Breakfast was fair Wasn't overly keen on the sausages and scrambled egg ,
Easy to find and quick checking in process.
Very dated.
Spacious room, very clean, great location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast....we will be back
Can't think of anything
Great location and premises
Slightly corporate
Location, in the village and close to beach, pubs close by,
Could have had a car park, but for £20 they give you a permit for council car park around the corner, which is refunded when you leave.
The hotel was old fashioned and had character. Yes it is a coach tour hotel but we found it was nice to meet so many people. As they cater for coach parties there was entertainment in the evening. As it's on the high street not far from beach etc and a good base for touring. Staff were friendly and helpful and a short stroll to car park. (We were given a permit from the hotel so parking was free just gave a deposit which was returned when handed back in). Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Had a really good stay and would go back
Unfortunately no air conditioning but they do supply fans
Beautiful building in the centre of Cricceth, our room had a fab sea view and was quiet for a hotel. Decor a bit dated in general but all clean. All the staff we encountered were very nice as well. Great breakfast and election.
i think in the future a referee would hep keep the hotel current for younger guests as the location is fab.
Plenty of choice for breakfast Enjoyed the entertainment Mon night
All was satisfactory
Inexpensive and comfortable
Too oriented to coach parties
Good
Good
Good location. Plenty of rooms. Very accommodating for last minute booking. Nice breakfast. Good shower. Fair price. Friendly staff.
Limited parking. Very obviously it’s a hotel for coach tours.
Läget var jättebra! Jättefin frukost
Svårt med parkeringsplats när man kom med bil
Location
No parking
Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was swift and very good
The property is quite old, but it’s ok. Good value for money.
Breakfast interesting
I liked everything actually. I stayed at the King George about four years ago. The hotel has clearly been thoroughly refurbished since and very successfully.
Nothing
Location
Needs some tlc and updating
The room was fine, the bed comfortable enough. The lighting was good.
The room was hot and the bathroom had a smell like an old persons home.
The food was excellent good quality and served piping hot
The room was large spotlessly clean, but not much natural light in room as windows looked onto a brick wall , also traffic very loud early morning
Good spot and very clean and tidy.
Room was too hot
postion
old, worn,no proper restaurant,
Breakfast choice very good would be better with butcher’s sausages just for feedback but understand cost restraints
No mattress covers or pillow protectors
Location was good on the high street, nisa nearby, lot of food options. Room was nice and good breakfast
Consider adding facilities like a gym
Everything was spotless. The sheets were nice quality, the towels were new and fluffy and both were scrupulously clean. There was a big mirror over the desk with a comfy chair and a power point perfectly positioned to dry my hair.
The decor is dire and dated.
The view from the window, the twin room was the same price as double, location, easy parking
No hot water in the morning so unable to have shower, tv remote not working properly and dirty, breakfast ridiculously crowded (coach load of elderly) so we didn’t bother
Comfortable, clean rooms beautiful views
Nothing
Comfortable bed & nice & clean & warm
Bathroom was very cramped.
The hotel is located centrally within the town of Criccieth. It's a five minute walk to the beach. There are plenty of local shops and pubs with good food. The rooms are a little dated but clean. This hotel is wonderful for the older generation, with bingo, entertainment every evening. They have a comfortable lounge area and the bar has drinks very reasonably priced. The breakfast was good, something for everyone. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful . The hotel is excellent value for money and if you are of the older generation this is ideal for you.
The shower tray kept overflowing. The rooms need more plugs and USB points. Also the rooms were very warm during the night.
It made us feel very nostalgic for the TV show Bullseye from the 80s and reminded us of decades gone by .
The outside.
Excellent breakfast options and very good evening meal evening when not on a alpha trip.
Nothing
The breakfast was good. The room was clean and not too tiny.
I was very disappointed by the cost of two rooms when I compared it with the cost of two rooms at the Grand Hotel in Llandudno for the following night. There really was no difference between the rooms or the facilities but the cost was in excess of £100 more at George IV and it was the off season! Until I booked Llandudno I had no idea of the difference - I would not have stayed at the George IV had I thought there would be such a large difference!
Really friendly staff
Great location a small walk to council carpark but great service by hotel of paying refundable deposit for a car park pass which enabled us to park overnight there.
The fact that people going on the coach holidays seemed to get quicker service at breakfast time others were placed in another room away from holidaymakers on coaches. We actually didn't bother with breakfast on our last day due to this.
After having ridden for 5 hours on our motor bikes, I discovered that I had made a booking date error. The staff (Rosalyn, and I guess the manager who's name I didn't get) were so very helpful, and used the powers that they had to get us a room in what was a fully booked out hotel. Thanks so much guys, you truly saved the day.
The staff were very helpful and the room was spot on . Couldn't really ask for more
The breakfast was great and in a good location. Very happy with my stay
It was OK but needs updating..
Closing time on bar ..10-30 ???
The breakfast was really good, hot and cold with a great selection of cooked breakfast from a menu. The service was very efficient and the waitress friendly.

Excellent breakfast. Great location. Comfy bed. Helpful staff.
We were on the top floor. The room was very warm and the windows only opened a small amount so a fan would have been nice.
Very little. A good sleep.£
£20 set evening meal.(fish and chips)had to book for breakfast, £10. Tiny shower room and toilet. Not impressed.
