Really liked this B&B. The hosts were great - cheery, chatty and informative. The breakfast was top-notch with a lovely presentation making it a pleasure to relax and chat with other guests (Electric Picnic was on, great conversations). The house and garden are both very well looked after and we were fed with their own produce where possible. Highly recommended, it's about 16km from EP. if you've already bought your 2026 tickets! For dinner,we walked the 600m on a lovely quiet road to the Clanard Court Hotel for a really superb meal at a very reasonable price. We were there, not for EP but to cycle the Barrow River and Royal Canal. We rented bikes in Vicarstown at the Vicarstown Cafe (great service, very good bikes and a nice little café too!). Our advice is to cycle towards Monasterevin as the surface in that direction is superb. We cycled both and the route in the other direction (Carlow) is fine for the first 11km to Athy. From Athy, the surface is grass which might be fun but we got tired of it after 6km and moved to the adjacent road to Carlow - not too busy. After food in Carlow, we returned to Athy on a really nice back road, R429, via Knockbeg, - lovely, quiet, almost carless route.
We had an amazing stay Host Theresa was so helpful gave us an excellent freshly cooked very tasty breakfast Room was very comfortable clean thank you from Mary & John
The breakfast food was freshly cooked. Bed comfortable. It did what it said on the TIN Bed & Breakfast !!!!!!!
No refreshment facilities in bed room Had to go looking for it. No sitting room Had to request night cup of tea There was no menu so didnt know what breakfast choice was on offer. Toilet in ensuite needs proper cleaning. Bleach & toilet brush down duct. Would do the job. It was a bit brownish.

Host family very welcoming and friendly, we were leaving very early the next morning and ask wat we wud like to be left out so that we could get our own breakfast the next morning which was very thoughtful, would definitely stay here again
Perfect location.
Perfect stay.
The host was welcoming and lovely. Great choice for breakfast and was so yummy.
Great host, excellent breakfast. Stayed ahead of a wedding at the Abbey on in Athy, perfect location for that as it was not 5 mins from the venue
This place is very near the town of athy and it was perfect place for my party to stay at. The breakfast was amazing. And there was loads of space in the room. The price was an amazing think too as its wasn't too expensive for 4 people to stay at
The only thing that could of been better was the comfort of the beds. I didn't sleep great on the night
The hosts

Near town. clean bedclothes and a lovely breakfast.
A little loud with other guests because of timber floors and stairs. the sealant on the showers could have done with a mould and mildew spray.
Breakfast was good, and stuff very friendly
Pillows was bad
Teresa the owner was an absolute Gem, was very friendly and made sure we were well looked after at all times. Will definitely be back to see her. Oh and her homemade wheaten bread was awesome 👌 she even gave me a loaf of it to take back home to Belfast Thanks for everything Teresa from Pamela and Petsy 😁
Nothing to report. All was great.

Headbord of bed was broken then also i paid for the trip the host kept asking my partner what did he want then also asking she might see him in laois this is totally unnacceptable like it was my break also and i was the one who organised the trip never asked was i ok everything was about my partner i wont be going back again teresa
Delicious full Irish breakfast and friendly service!
Teresa made our stay! She knows the value of good, friendly, genuine hospitality. She made us feel welcome into her home, was generous, attentive & couldn't have done more for us. Breakfast was great! Fresh healthy options available.
In an ideal world if space allowed we would have liked the ensuite to be a little bigger & to have a seating/lounge/communal area available to use but zero complaints overall, particularly given the value & hospitality more than made up for these wishlist items.
On the day the location was perfect
The shower in the room was not working
Very Comfortable. Great Host. Fantastic Breakfast
Breakfast was excellent
Bathroom and shower were a little cramped. No soap or shampoo provided.
It was an amazing experience. I really recommend this beautiful place to stay. The owners are charming and welcoming. They provided us with all the information we needed. The B&B is a very nice and cozy place to stay and enjoy the surroundings and the countryside. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much. It was delicious! We will be back soon without any doubt!
The perfect example of Irish hospitality, you will not find a better place or nicer hosts, wish I could score higher than 10
