The property was an amazing location and the tuktuks were all affordable (300 rupees to the fort and 600 rupees to jungle beach). My room was clean, cold and lovely! I couldn’t have asked for a better space

Mooi nieuw appartement in een wijk in Galle. Super netjes en schoon. Huiskamer en slaapkamer tot onze beschikking. Ook was er gelegenheid om zelf te wassen. Airco en ventilators prima in orde. Vlakbij het fort in 6 minuten met een tuk-tuk.

Er is een dakterras, maar moet nog wat aangekleed worden. Erg heet zonder bescherming.

Very nice hotst and a fantastic breakfast. The place is close enough to walk into Galle Fort and also has some nice restaurants nearby.

한 마디로 흠 잡을게 없다. 저렴한 가격, 대리석이 깔린 깨끗하고 넓은 거실과 룸. 빵빵한 에어컨, 냉장고 딸린 주방 시설은 요리하기에도 좋다. 한 밤중에 오토바이 타고 물도 사다 주는 친절한 주인은 화가라네요. 단점이라면 주택가에 있어서 위치가 조금 아쉽다. 하지만, 갈레 Fort에서 TUKTUK 요금 200~300 루피 정도로 가깝다. 2인실. 3인실 있어서 5~6명도 묵기 좋을것 같네요. 별 5개로 강추합니다.

This was absolutely a bonus for me. I expected the room only but I was able to use the common area and kitchen too. There was a refrigerator and electric kettle, enough tea cups for our use. The owner was really nice. We got keys to from gate to room so the privacy was to it's maximum.

The owner was really gentle and always there to help. The bed sheet seemed a bit dirty and he changed it immediately.

The Villa itself is super nice. I stayed in a room in an apartment which had a kitchen, a couple of balconies, and a nice seating area. The place seems to be newly built to high standards and nicely furnished. Importantly, it was spotlessly clean. The staff are nice and available onsite to help if needed.

Its far from the centre of town where all the action is. So you will need to take tuk tuks to get around.

Highly Recommend ! Close to the Galle fort by tuktuk, this villa has a beautiful terrace top. The rooms were very clean with the air con working perfectly. Secure. The host , Nisal is friendly and very helpful, making your stay a comfortable one.

Very clean, had an extremely comfortable bed with pleasant smelling linen. There was a kitchen with everything I needed, a washing machine, very good hot water shower, and excellent air conditioning. The staff was pleasant, the place was located in a nice quiet neighborhood up on the hill, about a 15 minute walk to the fort, although Uber is obviously much faster.

The hotel was excellent! I loved that it’s a newly constructed building with modern amenities. The price was very affordable, and the location was convenient. Overall, a great experience!

The family who runs the place is really nice and very helpful! This was one of our favourite places to stay in Sri Lanka overall. The bathroom is amazing. The room is great and the bed is very comfortable. Great view! And a rooftop terrace we could use also :-) Highly recommend this place if you are staying in Galle!

Location about 2km from the fort (tuk tuk around 200lkr one way). Rooftop with 360 degrees view. Very, very clean. Brand new aircon (quiet) and fan in room. I think it’s even possible to do laundry. Hot shower. Quiet and respectful host.

Nothing. Only thing we missed was a mosquito net, as we don’t use aircon (but no major issue if you put on aircon)

The room with the balcony had a beautiful view and the common area was super spacious with a kitchen and seating areas. The host was super friendly and we felt very welcome and comfortable. The rooftop is spacious and you can see the sunrise or sunset. We would recommend the Shine Ray Villa to anyone who needs a quiet and lovely place to stay in Galle.

The room was very clean and the people of the house were really friendly. It is possible to walk to Galle Fort from the house in about 30 minutes. I can really recommend this place!

This place is new and really clean. This hotel also has a laundry service which costs 500 LKR / time (The number of times depends on the capacity of the washing machine and how much are your clothes). I would say this is a really good price. My clothes were around 5kgs and it was 1000 LKR. The location is good for me (not too close to the center, and not too far). Since it is located on a small road, there are not many vehicles going through making it less noisy.

If you do not rent a scooter, I think this place might not be good because there are almost no shops or restaurants nearby. However, if you rent a scooter (around 2500 LKR you can find it on Google) or take a tuk tuk, it will be much easier. It is around 5 mins to get to the Dutch Fort with the scooter.

Very quiet and relax place in Galle city area. Staff also very friendly. Room is very clean and comfortable. That shared kitchen is very useful to us.

we had everything, appreciated the AC, kitchen facilities, separate trash cans, balconies, ceiling fans. good shower, everything was rather new, good wifi, plenty of space, nice view from the 1st floor. the hosts even helped us with laundry ❤️
