Lovely views, attentive host
A beautiful property with tasteful decor and everything you could need in the kitchen. We received a very warm welcome with delicious homemade scones and jam and the coffee machine all ready to go. Really comfortable sofas in the living room and very comfortable beds too. Everything was clean and nicely presented. It was a pleasure to meet our host, Sharon, who very kindly gave us a lift into the village due to a couple of members in our party having mobility issues.
Location is not ideal if you wanted to walk into the village but there is plenty of parking space for cars.
It was beautiful and very well maintained. The hostess was so nice, she prepared scones for us. There is a washer provided.
The GPS direction was wrong, it brought us to Doolin Inn, instead.
We loved the welcome of warm scones and coffee. The view from the 2 bedrooms upstairs was beautiful and then kitchen and living area was very comfortable.
Sharon had the place ready for our big group of girls, she has scones prepared for arrival, the place was spotless! Each of the rooms were an en suite with bathroom gels and shampooo available. We booked the whole place as we had 14 girls together, it was an ideal location and not to far from doolin itself for a few drinks in the evening.
Nothing
Fresh scones, comfy clean bedding, coffee, tea, laundry pods. Sharon is a wonderful hostess and it’s my second visit to Aran View in 8 years. Thank you for a wonderful stay Sharon!
We were a group of friends getting together for a night away. The house is perfect for groups with loads of space. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Thanks to the owner Sharon who was so helpful recommending restaurants and organising taxis for us. Thank you for the lovely gifts Sharon we will most definitely be back.
Nothing
Ideal for big family gathering. No need to leave the house as there is plenty of space for everyone to sit around and chat/drink/eat together. Bar and pool table add to the fun
Great views, great communication, very clean, lots of amenities
We loved everything about this accomodation. If only the weather was better for us we would have enjoyed the walks to and from the village, however, Storm Erin hit us like a ton of Bricks !!
There were flies in the living/kitchen area, but no Fly Spray to use. There was no Spatula for the Frying Pan. Trying to get a taxi was a nightmare. To and from the village. Only for the very friendly Bar staff in the local pubs we would have had to walk home late at night in the pouring rain. Other than that we enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Style of property and location and views. Handy to Doolin pubs and entertainment
Shower over bath very dated and dangerous. No slip mats to put in bath makes it hazardous.
The location was amazing! Gorgeous views. Fresh scones and very clean.
One of the toilets wasn’t flushing during our visit and there was a smell in the adjoining bedroom during our visit.
Stunning views and partial modern feel inside. Spacious. Host was very helpful and friendly
Shower heads need updating. Could have been cleaner lots of dust behind beds.
We had my sister's 50th birthday with family and friends, we had 20 people, we booked the whole house. The facilities are just fabulous with bar, pool room, dining hall. We had ages 17 to 80 and all loved it, rooms are spacious and spotless. We brought our own drinks and food, There were little things like musty odors, but disapated once we ventaled the rooms, it was early in the season so probably not used much over winter months. Overall fabulous and would recommend
The location was very close to the Cliffs of Moher & had beautiful views.
Good location close to Doolin. Comfortable beds. House cleaner very welcoming and helped us check in. Nice kitchen and ideal for group.
Couldn't get through to host to check in. Hot water was off in the evening time for showers.
Beautiful building and space. Beautiful views. Amazing facilities. We loved our stay
We had a fabulous stay from start to finish. We were a group of 10, and everyone’s needs were catered for perfectly. Great communication before the stay, with advice re restaurants, taxis etc. The house was warm and comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Would love to have stayed more than one night !
Very comfortable, great staff, beautiful views and sunset. Close to fun.
The views of the ocean
It was close to major attractions. The caretaker Sharon was helpful and available for any questions.
Nothing property was awesome
Beautiful building, gorgeous property, large room that was very comfortable. I was extremely pleased with my decision to stay at Aran View Country House, and was especially pleased considering that I booked the room just the night before.
Location brilliant - self catering
no issues at all
Friendly staff and lovely dog on site! Comfortable stay and the food was excellent.
Clean updated nicely furnished and the dog!

Great location with great staff and a great breakfast
Lovely old school feel with a nice stroll to the pub.
The views from the front were great at sunset. I asked for a cup of tea and reception gave me the necessities to bring to my room.
The staff when I checked in had little knowledge of the area, where the walk started to Cliffs of Moher would have been good. The lady on checkout was local and full on great info.
Best sleep we had the whole vacation. The bed, the fresh air, the peace and quiet. We loved being greeted by Shadow We loved the walk to the village pub.
Location and closeness to Doolin

The choice of breakfast was amazing and good healthy options too. The traditional Irish breakfast is always a winner and lovely to have on a holiday. The views from my breakfast table were breathtaking and the staff were prompt and friendly.Thank you for a superb stay
Quaint Inn in a beautiful setting. Great breakfast—choices and service.
Beautiful B&B located in the charming town of Doolin. Lovely view of the sea from our window. Delicious breakfast every morning! Sharon and her staff were very attentive to all of our needs. We would highly recommend staying here.
The Aran View is a charming older hotel, well managed by Sharon and Laura who were very helpful to us and also very friendly. We had a large room, comfortable beds, breakfast was great with many choices and was served quickly. The hotel is just a minute or two by car from McGann's Pub and McDermott's is also close. O'Connor's is a few more minutes south. I would stay here again.
No complaints.
Location
Wonderful weeding greetings with prosecco, chocolate and strawberries. Outmost hospitality...what else?! :)
We stayed for one night at the Aran view Country house. A large room for us 4 as a family. Good price. Great breakfast. Considering the fair price it was super. not directly in "down town" Doolin but within walking distance.
Well situated close to Doolin music pubs and cliffs of Mother. Breakfast served and good. Room size was also good.
Bathroom and shower needs some urgent maintenance as door didn’t work and shower had sprayed water all over the place.
Staff very helpful.
Hot water ran out both days despite reporting it to management. Cold showers.
Setting is fantastic--What a view!! Delicious breakfast!
The location was perfect with a spectacular view of the Cliffs. 5 minute drive to the quaint town of Doolin. We even saw a rainbow right outside our room window. Sharon at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. I wish we'd stayed longer!
Nothing
No transport or taxi service to and from hotel to town
Great view of the coastal area and surrounding rolling farmland. The Country House is beautiful and has nice gathering rooms. All these quaint places have plenty of stairs. It is located so close to Cliffs of Moher you can drive there in less than 15 minutes. The coolest thing was to drive 5 minutes to McDermott’s bar for a super Irish pub and live music that usually starts about 9-9:30 pm. Good food and drinks and people!
Slanted entry into our bathroom was unique!
The breakfast and the staff were great
The bed and the pillows were VERY uncomfortable
I really loved my stay at Aran View Country house. Its a great little bed and breakfast with lots of country charm. The views of the cliffs from the front of the property were breathtaking and I slept like a baby both nights I was there. Thank you!
The location and views
The silence, the fabulous location, the staff, the breakfast.
nothing
Location was good looking out to Aran Islands. Room size was lovely and heavy drapes made it pitch black for sleeping.
Towels were thin and thread bare. Portion of ceiling in room had flaking paint and water stains. No tea/coffee making facilities in room or communal lounges. Tray with kettle provided when I asked (excuse was "furniture was being damaged so no longer left in rooms"). No telephone in room (website and Booking.com state there is). Ramp into bathroom was dangerous!
Service and facility
Zero
Breakfast was great, the view from the property is spectacular, very well positioned for visiting the cliffs. Loved the cozy armchair in the room.
Breakfast was great and everyone was very nice, we had a lovely stay!
The location was perfect from Doolin- close to everything. Breakfast was always hot and delicious. The staff was always nice and helpful.
Located on the Coast Road above Doolin town, Aran View does not disappoint with great views to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. We enjoyed these views from the comfortable sitting room on the second level as our guest room was on the back side of the house. Our room was comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The dining room is attractive and breakfast was quite good.
This property does not have a lift, so guests need to carry their luggage up the stairs (two floors in our case.) We knew of this and it was not a problem for us, but could be for other travelers.
Location
Comfortable
it was in a good location before you entered Doolin with great views from the sitting room. Our family room was two separate rooms separated by the bathroom and a short corridor which gave some separation if you had young children. Lovely breakfast with a very helpful host who gave us the low down on a car park for Doolin cliff walk thy was cheaper than the visitor centre
The staff was amazing
Beautiful old building
Dated (I realise the contradiction).
Great location and view, staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming
No fault at all
Staff were very nice and very helpful
Breakfast was exceptional.
Nothing.
From the minute we arrived, the friendly welcome received, the room with a brilliant sea view, and the breakfast were all exceptional. It really is a gem on the wild Atlantic way. Unfortunately we had only 1 night but will definitely be back.
Nothing to not like about Aran View country house.
A comfortable stay within a 10 minute walk of Doolin with the cave and Cliffs of Moher nearby. The host Sharon was lovely and really helpful as were the staff and Shadow the dog was really friendly. Breakfast was excellent too. Thank you!
The room was very comfortable The host and staff were brilliant and so nice The views from the front door are beautiful Highly recommend this accomodation
There really wasn't anything bad I could way tbh
