Location is quiet, great views and lots of greenery.

Lovely property and Johnny is a great host. The location is a lovely little village with easy beach access and lots of restaurants. The big water jugs are a great idea and we loved our balcony.

Tolles Bungalow, ruhig, sehr schöner Ausblick vom Gemeinschaftsrancho aus auf den Strand, der Besitzer ist sehr symphatisch und hilfsbereit! Es gibt zwei Ventilatore, einen Kühlschrank, Wasser, Kaffee und Tee. Wir konnten den Aufenthalt sehr geniessen - vielen Dank!

we loved blondies, it was the escape from hustle and bustle and constant travelling activities that we needed. The location is beautiful in my opinion, not on the busy area of the island but in a more chilled out remote area- still has an array of restaurants and convience stores for your needs, and Sok San beach was lovely for swimming. Johnny was kind and helpful, even shouting us a beer when we arrived. The room we had was great, the bed was large and comfortable, two fans that worked well, a clean bathroom with hot water, and a balcony to sit out front. Being here felt like going back in time to the early 2000's in the absolute best way, It was nice to have a detox off our phones and be without reception and wifi and soak up the sun, swim, read and relax.

This is hard to say! the only thing that was slightly difficult was the room was very warm due to no air conditioning, but we are aware we came at one of the hottest months in the year so that makes a difference. The 2 fans worked well to take the edge off, and it was fine for a couple nights. Warning to bring plently of CASH with you to the island, especially sok san area as there is NO atms, and we had to go to one specific restaurant with bad, expensive food to get more cash out.

Johnny was a great host and left me to it but was always available when needed. Location (particularly in the hammock area)...My favourite place in the world...bliss! Great to have refrigerator and water urn in room. Balcony was lovely to sit out.as was hammock area

No A/C The bungalow would've been lovely but it was so warm even with 2 fans on. Bungalow was only used as a base for storage and to use bathroom as it was like a sauna.

J’ai adoré mon séjour chez Johnny qui était particulièrement gentil, disponible, discret et accueillant ! L’intérieur est rustique mais propre et suffisant. Je suis surtout tombée amoureuse de l’extérieur !!!! Les deux paillotes face à la mer avec le lever de soleil et les hamacs réservés pour la clientèle : fabuleux très calme et relaxant. Il a le meilleur emplacement car un peu à l’écart de l’agitation, surplombant la mer et à proximité de bons restaurants (chapter 9) ! ✨🏝️

Accueil et service de John présent tout en étant discret. Un petit paradis de verdure avec vue sur la mer. Proximité du village et des restaurants. Possibilité de louer dans le village des scooters (10$ par jour). Très belle plage à proximité.

Tout était parfait! L’emplacement et la vu répondait plus que nos attentes. Bungalow modeste mais bien équipé. Café thé et eau en bouteille (50 litres) disponible. Johnny est Disney de bon conseils. Équipement apnée gratuit. Nous avons vu de beaux poissons tropicaux. Une terrasse avec hamac et chaises est disponible, vue imprenable sur la baie et le village.

Johnny was amazing, went above and beyond because he is genuinely a lovely guy! The bungalow had everything you need, an abundance of hot water and towels and we slept so well! The pagodas were just heaven and the views...wow! Sok San village is on your doorstep!! Brilliant stay at Blondies, we loved it!!

Lovely beach hut villa. Hot shower and towels provided. Free tea and coffee available. Snorkelling equipment free for guests. Short 5min walk to Sok San beach. Host Johnny was very attentive and sorted anything we needed- booking tuktuks, free beer on arrival, always contactable on WhatsApp etc

No air conditioning, 2 fans did the job despite this, we knew this upon booking.

Situation idéale sur Sok San Beach, à nos yeux l’une des plus belles de l’île. Les deux terrasses permettent de profiter à l’ombre et sont très agréables. Le bungalow est bien équipé avec moustiquaire, bonbonne d’eau buvable, bouilloire, frigo…. Et John est très sympathique et arrangeant !

It was a calm and relaxing location, the room was nice and clean, there was a hot shower which I really liked.

Overall it was fine, except one fan in the room was a bit noisy.

Sa situation dans le charmant petit village de Sok San un peu â l'écart mais facilement accessible tout en étant aussi tout proche de l'arrivée du speed boat. L'authenticité du bungalow en accord avec les autres habitations du village. C'est ce que nous recherchions pour notre séjour sur cette île. C'était dépaysant. Et enfin, l'accueil et la simplicité de nos relations avec notre hôte Johnny.

Le petit déjeuner n'est pas inclus dans la prestation, bien que nous disposions d'une bouilloire pour nous préparer un café ou un team instantané. Mais â décharge, cela doit être compliqué de mettre en place cette prestation supplémentaire. (Personnel approvisionnement etc...).

Nous avons logé dans la chambre avec terrasse au dessus de la réception. Elle est simple mais très confortable. C’est très bien situé, en hauteur de ce village très agréable avec une très belle vue. John a été très accueillant.

Rustige ligging, vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaar ! Misschien een tip : Eén ventilator buiten voor het woon/slaapvertrek zou het nog aangenamer maken, als je er wilt zitten.

I'm not the typical tourist, I focus 99% on freediving. From that perspective I am at the near perfect place. Owner and operator is himself a diving enthusiast so he had a ton of valuable tips and hints. The bungalow while lacking AC was fine due to being partially shaded. Bungalow is very well equipped: had 2 powerful fans so heat was never a bothersome issue. A positive surprise was ability for warm shower... if you (for some weird reason) would want a warm shower. Refrigerator in room, a huge water bottle in room! Kettle for tea/coffee. Just outside bungalow there is a short path leading straight to the start of the coral reef! That is amazing, no immediate need to splurge money of snorkeling tours unless you want a change of scenery. Snorkeling (and I think scuba) tours was possible, pending how many signs up. (Just talk to others and try to agree upon a suitable date). The reef access through the path is a bit difficult if you are clumsy or are not of good physique. It is a bit steep slope to walk for starters. Once you enter water you have to wade/walk on sharp rocks and other uneven surfaces. This can be challenging normally and up to quite difficult if the tide is really low. For people who like it easy but wanting to snorkel the reef, no worries, a short walk towards village there are a much easier water front access but you'll have to swim 100m or so to get to the starting point. Because Blondies bungalows are "outside" of village it is very peaceful there, good place for mindfulness, yoga and relaxation. Same with manager, Johnny, very chill guy that takes good care of you as a guest. Village is perfect for me, shops, candy, fresh fruits, smoothies, juices. Very good eating Khmer and "western" foods, a perfectly sleepy village that is easy to love. At the evening/night you can find some thumping music, flashing lights if you want that.

I am really struggling to come up with something negative, something I did not like besides the challenging reef access, which is just nature doing its thing so complaining about it is useless. If you arrive from another resort on the island: Blondies Bungalows are maybe not the most well known place so you might have to give detailed instructions to the tuk-tuk driver, to drive through entire Sok San Village, to cross the wooden bridge, to drive up a narrow path further than expected and so forth until you get there.

The most amazing place you could stay in Koh Rong. Everyone in the adjoining village is lovely, Johnny himself was the kindest host we’ve had the pleasure of meeting too. Great little retro “shack” in the jungle, amazing viewpoint from the balcony. Seriously, just stay here yourself, I can’t even put it into words how good it is here!

Johnnie met us at the pier, helped with bags and showed us to the bungalow, there are hammocks you can use which are comfy, Johnnie was a truly lovely guy cannot fault him and there is free snorkel equipment but we didn't use it

Mosquito net in room had a few holes so did get bitten in the night, bathroom had a lot of Mosquitos, think the property would benefit from air con would make it a lot more comfortable, there were a few power cuts but this couldn't be helped!

This place is just incredibly beautiful little oasis in a quiet corner of Sok San Beach. We loved exactly everything about the accommodation. The bungalow had all the facilities we needed, and a beautiful design. There were many nice bars and restaurants close by. Just in front of our bungalow there was an impressive coral reef where we were spending most of our time. When not snorkeling, we were enjoying the views and the sound of sea waves laying on hammocks. The Blondies villa is a heaven on Earth and we would love to stay again when on Koh Rhong.

Loved all, very reminiscent of old school backpacking bungalows tough to find in SEA now. Kind and helpful host Johnny, and rooms have loads of little bonus’ not often found in budget bungalows: fridge, kettle, abundant drinking water, hot water, clean fresh towels, shamp/cond/body wash, earplugs, power bar and lamp near bed, comfy chair and outside sitting area. Great location over cool bridge from main village (3 min max walk), quiet, with glimpse of local life. Unbelievable views! Planned to stay 2 nights and extended to 11!

Blondies is just an amazing and lovely place to stay. Johnny is such an amazing host and we wish we can come back soon!

Nature, serendipity and amacas!

Cute bungalow, simple but with everything you need for an authentic island stay and very clean. Incredible view from the patio, I did yoga everyday. It felt like home, you have towels, beach towels, shower gel and shampoo, water heater for coffee and tea, free snorkeling masks. John and Mel are also very welcoming and they think about every detail. It was an amazing stay. Good value for money and I would definitely stay there again.

I liked everything. Quiet and calm place, house in the shade of trees. Gazebos with a view of the bay, from which you can meet the sunrise. You can take a mask and water shoes for free and swim near the house among the corals.

Great location. Relax. Nature. Everything you need is nearby. John is a wonderful person. Attentive, efficient and always available. His service is top notch. If I could give him all the stars - I would! All information is true. Everything you want to know will be explained to you. These wonderful bungalows have everything, absolutely everything - from a refrigerator to a kettle for making evening tea. Hot water and all the necessary hygiene products. You can take interesting walks. You can swim - there is everything you need for snorkeling. There are many interesting books at the reception. There are authentic gazebos with sea views. The hustle and bustle of the village will remain far away from you. The shops and cafes are very close. You want pizza - there is a real Italian pizza nearby. Very close is a wonderful beach with relaxation on clean sand. The water is calm, there is no strong wind here (unlike other places on the island). If you need a scooter, you can rent one in the village. There are also many cafes there. We are so glad we had this positive experience visiting john. We recommend you do it! It is a great choice! John, we will miss your fabulous place!

The view from the pergolas is amazing! The beach is really close and absolutely a dream and there are so many things to do, beside relaxing and enjoying Paradies. Sok San Beach is a really calm and peaceful village with a few great restaurants. John was such a kind and helpful host. We loved our time at Blondies. The bungalow is in the middle of nature which means you will see and hear some animals. But everything looks just like in the pictures and the description. Great experience!

Amazing location and great host

John is a very helpful and attentive host. His advice and suggestions were excellent concerning places to eat, drink and visit. The location is picture perfect and the pagodas (exclusively for Blondies guests) overlooking the bay are to die for especially at sunrise which is not to be missed. There are some great options for dining merely a few minutes away such as a fab Italian restaurant and a traditional Khmer restaurant, both recommended by John. We highly recommend staying here for a unique and memorable experience on the nicest part of the island.

Bungalows with island atmosphere and stunning views from the pagodas (same as on the pictures, no surprises there). John, the host, is very friendly and helpful: he organised a nice boat trip for us, the laundry and made sure that the speed boat was there to pick us up. Great choice for a nice and quiet stay on Koh Rong!

it was so close to the village, with spectacular views and yet so quiet. The bungalow was really comfortable and clean and the pagoda at the waters edge, for both catching the sunrise, doing yoga, writing a journal at the table, reading in a hammock was just gorgeous. Nothing was too much trouble for Jonny. He was great with advice and providing me with everything I needed.

The ferry doesn’t go direct there in the low season and the access out of Khao Touch is really bad. Plan ahead. Message Johnny.

The property has great deckings where it’s perfect to sit and watch the sunset. Ideal for those who are looking for a relaxing spot to relax and do plenty of reading!

the owner John is a really nice bloke and the view from the pergolas is indeed great

this place really was not for me and i definitely don't get the high rating. The cabins are dated and worn and so is the interior. there is no aircon (i knew that before) but the cabins are really stuffy during the night. one would think with all the holes and cracks there would be a comfortable breeze but this isn't the case. the mosquito net had several holes. had mice going through my luggage (wtf?). the drain from the sink empties just outside the cabin (toilet fortunately has plumbing). the property is adequately kept but the immediate surroundings from the neighbours are a different story. no wifi and the smart sim card did not work (apparently only cellcard does?) sok san village where the pier is is more of a slum than anything. would definitely not ever go back to this place. paid 38 usd for the night which was more than anywhere else in cambodia and the value was not even half what i would get in siem reap, kampot and phnom penh.

Blondies an absolute top bloke answered all of our questions and is overall a really laid back guy. free coconut on arrival! Great room and amazing snorkeling spot right next to the bungalow spent two whole days just watching the coral reef, even seen an octopus! Would love to come back if we're ever in the area again. Best spot on the island.

A magical little place in a gorgeous location. The atmosphere is as relaxing as it gets and John is a great host. His friendly, laidback attitude perfectly fits with the vibe of the property and makes this an ideal place to just sit back and recharge your battery while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. This was one of our favourite stays in all of South East Asia!

We had such a brilliant time staying at Blondies. Johnny our host was accommodating throughout, he met us at the harbour and helped with our bags, gave us lots of recommendations and then got us a coconut as a welcome gift! The room was great and spacious with everything we needed and more. There's coffee facilities and shampoo and conditioner. The view from the rooms and the property is brilliant and the hammocks to chill out on are so nice. There is also a reef at the bottom that you can snorkel in, all in all a brilliant stay.

Our stay in the bungalows was wonderful, John makes the experience even better, if what you are looking for is to get away and enjoy the amazing beaches of Cambodia without a doubt this is a great option. You can get there directly via the ferry or take a tuk tuk, we had no problem getting there, john welcomed us with a delicious coconut and made our experience the best in koh rong, breakfast was always delicious too. Thank you very much John, we will definitely come back here.
