Op aanraden van een collega zijn we bij deze B&B terechtgekomen en wauw! Wat een geweldige plek. De tuin en het zwembad zijn ontzettend mooi en goed onderhouden. Hier konden we helemaal tot rust komen. Daarnaast hebben we ook heerlijk genoten van het uitgebreide ontbijt en uiteraard het 3-gangen diner van de host. Wij vonden de locatie ook super. Gordon's Bay heeft een heel fijn strand en op aanraden van de eigenaren hebben wij op een bijzondere plek gedineerd met prachtig uitzicht & zonsondergang. We raden de B&B heel erg aan. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend lieve mensen en ze laten je heel erg op je gemak voelen. Wij zijn hier helemaal tot rust gekomen. Hier komen we zeker nog eens terug! (:

I loved the quiet location, off-of the beaten-path. The backyard garden opening from the dining area was beautifully landscaped with flowers and vegetation surrounding the pools. The perfect plates to relax. Our hosts were absolutely delightful. And the food- superb!!!

We liked everything about this place Lidwien and Frans who owns the place are amazing people,the breakfast is fantastic,we had dinner there two times and it was increadable. So if you are gonna stay somewhere in this area this is the place. We will be back.

Sauberkeit der Zimmer und der gesamten Anlage. Herzlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft, Erreichbarkeit der wunderbaren Gastgeber. Das Frühstück und die zusätzlich gebuchten Abendessen waren hervorragend.

We waren eigenlijk van plan om maar twee nachten te blijven… maar na aankomst hebben we dat heel snel veranderd in vier. Dat zegt eigenlijk al genoeg! Frans, de eigenaar, weet duidelijk hoe je moet koken. Het eten was zó goed dat weggaan eigenlijk geen optie meer was. En Lidwien is een op en top gastvrouw: warm, gezellig en altijd in voor een praatje. Ze zorgt ervoor dat je je meteen thuis voelt. Het ontbijt is ook een feestje: veelzijdig met vers geperst sinaasappelsap, vers fruit en – niet te vergeten – heerlijke zelfgemaakte broodjes. Een heerlijke plek met veel gastvrijheid waar je je meteen thuis voelt. Pas op: je boekt hier misschien voor een paar nachten, maar de kans is groot dat je uiteindelijk langer blijft! Als dat dan nog kan, want het zit vaak volgeboekt.

De locatie was goed gesitueerd in Gordon’s Bay. Rustige woonwijk met een grote mooie tuin met zwembad voor de gasten. Daarnaast een mogelijkheid ( uitgezonderd woensdag en zondag ) om te genieten van een 3 gangen menu gemaakt door gastheer Frank en gastvrouw Lidwien. Elke avond culinaire hoogstandjes.

Die familiäre Atmosphäre der Gastgeber, das wunderbare Drei-Gänge-Menü von Frans hat uns dazu gebracht bei unserer Rückreise gleich noch einmal eine Übernachtung zu buchen.

Alles in allem war es ein absolut perfekter Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft! Die Gastgeber haben uns sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen und sich permanent um das Wohl ihrer Gäste gekümmert. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstück hat für ein B&B alle Erwartungen übertroffen, es gibt eine riesige Auswahl an unterschiedlichen Köstlichkeiten und alles ist sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Auch das Abendessen, das wir an Silvester in der Unterkunft eingenommen haben (es gab ein 7-Gänge-Menü!) war geschmacklich außergewöhnlich und kulinarisch auf höchstem Niveau. Ein großes Lob an den Chef des Hauses Frans, der selbst in der Küche zaubert. Ansonsten ist der Garten sehr schön gestaltet, es ist absolut ruhig und man kann sich gut erholen. Auch in der Wohngegend haben wir uns zu jeder Zeit sehr sicher gefühlt. Im Hof gibt es die Möglichkeit, das Auto geschützt/sicher zu parken.

Es gibt keinen einzigen Kritikpunkt, alles bestens!

Perfect location, wonderful, friendly accommodating hosts. Breakfast fantastic, beautifully presented. Lovely pool area and places to relax and enjoy the view. Our stay was so perfect we didn't want to leave.

Eine ruhige Lage. Und ein guter Schlaf, auf bequemen Matratzen. Ein schöner Garten mit Sonnenliegen, zwei kleine Pools und viel Grünfläche. Unser Auto konnte sicher im Hof stehen. Wir hatten eine kleine Terrasse, das war wichtig. Ein angenehmes Zimmer - und einige Quadratmeter mehr oder mehr Ablageflächen hätten mir auch gefallen. Das Frühstück ist vielfältig und gut. Die Eigentümer die das Hause führen wohnen auch dort! Das Menü am Abend kann ich empfehlen.

Lidwien und Frans sind außergewöhnliche Gastgeber. Zuvorkommend und immer hilfsbereit. Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt. Das von Frans gekochte 3 Gänge Menü war hervorragend, genau wie das Frühstück.

Am Abend konnten wir dort essen, und es war sehr lecker. Das B&B liegt ein wenig erhöht, zum Strand sind es ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuss.“

Ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück. Wir durften ein aufwändiges Silvestermenue geniessen.

Die Gastgeber sind immer ansprechbar, aufmerksam, anwesend und sehr hilfsbereit, z.B. bei telefonischen Buchungen(Restaurants, Golfplatz, Ausflügen). Frühstück ist besonders umfangreich. „Chef des Hauses“ kocht am Abend für die Hausgäste, eine absolute Empfehlung. Unser gebuchtes Zimmer war perfekt. Wir haben uns auf dem Grundstück und in Gordons Bay sehr sicher gefühlt. Ein „Danke schön“ an das ganze Team.

Super hosts, very friendly, nice garden and pools, parking, nice evening dining.

Evening meal had no choice. Aircon unit above the bed is very noisy & uncomfortable. When mentioned this we were told to switch it off and open the patio door 🤷‍♂️ hmmm!

Lidwien et Franz ont créé un petit coin de paradis, une superbe halte sur la Garden Route. De l'accueil, à la chambre, en passant par les communs ou le jardin et ses 2 piscines, tout est parfait. N'hésitez pas à réserver une table pour le dîner. Franz est un excellent cuisinier. Don't trust a skinny cook.😘 L'une de nos meilleures adresses du séjour et nous la recommandons vivement.

Frühstück war sehr gut.Das Menü des Hausherrn war ausgezeichnet.Kann mich nicht erinnern , jemals so köstlich bewirtet worden zu sein.

Wir waren zwar nur für eine Nacht dort, haben uns aber sofort wie zu hause gefühlt. Ein wunderbar herzlicher Empfang und ein wirklich schönes Anwesen mit wunderbaren Zimmern. Wir werden bei unserer nächsten Südafrika-Reise auf jeden Fall wieder buchen und dann mit mehr Zeit!

Stora rymliga rum, vi hade också egen balkong. Mycket välkomnande och trevliga värdar,, boendet var väl värt sitt pris. Vi åt en underbar Michelin värdig middag. även den rikliga frukosten som serverades var fantastiskt god och serverades som ett konstverk

Underbar middag, men priset är högt för Sydafrika. Att de skulle debitera lika rikligt för vinet som serverades till var väntat; men när vi för ett glas (1 !) vatten betalade lika mycket som fina viner kostar på restaurang i Sydafrika tyckte vi det var lite väl att ta i vilket sänkte betyget

Nice accommodation Close to the bay Brilliant breakfast

I can't think of another guesthouse I've stayed in that's as perfect as Bloemenzee Boutique B&B. This is the first "10" rating I've given on booking.com, because Frans and Lidwien have gotten everything right. The most important - their warmth and hospitality. From there: the beautiful property, with outstanding modern design and decor, the lovely room with all amenities and everything working in good order, including both a shower and a huge tub (that fits 2). To top it off, Frans's gourmet cooking. We were fortunate that (not knowing how good he is) we booked dinner in-house in advance. Like being at your own Michelin-star restaurant. Breakfast also delicious and artistically presented - come downstairs when you smell Frans's fresh bread baking. Only 40 min from CPT airport, a perfect destination on its own for a several-day stay, or as a launch-pad for wine country or the Garden route.

It's a 10 - they get everything right. Not even a quibble.

Breakfast was amazing. Location was perfect. Staff were friendly. Room was great. Ambience was great. It had a nice feel. Felt like home.

Lidwien and Frans are excellent hosts. The rooms are large and well furnished with a stylish en-suite. All spotlessly clean. The breakfast is incredible and, if you are staying on nights other than Sunday or Wednesday (Frans's nights off) so is the dinner (at extra cost). Unbelievable - it's like having a private Michelin chef. Highly recommended.

My stay at Bloemenzee Boutique B&B was absolutely delightful! The owners, Owners' Frans and Lidwien, were the epitome of warm and gracious hosts, making the entire experience truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, their attention to detail and genuine care made me feel incredibly welcome. The highlight of my stay was the incredible three-course meal they prepared on Saturday night. Every dish was crafted with such care and skill, showcasing their love for hospitality and exceptional cooking. From the delicious starters to the perfectly prepared main course and the indulgent dessert, it was a dining experience that rivaled a fine restaurant. The B&B itself is beautifully designed, with a perfect mix of charm and modern comfort. The serene surroundings added to the overall relaxation, making it the perfect getaway. I can’t recommend Bloemenzee Boutique B&B highly enough. Whether it’s the cozy atmosphere, the outstanding service, or the delectable meals, it’s an experience you won’t forget. From greeting us at the gate when we arrived till saying goodbye: we had a very nice time and really enjoyed everything! The rooms, the comforts, the personal touch, the talks and - ah just to BE there…. It was really such a good choice! But let me tell you: if you miss out on the offered dinner, you will miss a tasty extra! Breakfast was also extraordinary tasty! Thank you for spoiling us!

I have to say that our stay in South Africa was even better than we thought and this because we stayed at Bloemenzee Boutique B&B. The breakfast was very good and varied The three course dinner offered was five star The rooms were cozy The dogs were cute and kind The garden was very nice and green with two poles The area was quiet and walking distance to the local range of restaurants and the beach approximately 10-15 minutes But the best thing was the couple who owned the place, Lidwien & Franz, very service minded and humbly offered us a lift to the airport as they were going in that direction anyway. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Gordons Bay and South Africa, we will definitely be back.

Beautiful Guesthouse and heartwarming owners Lidwien and her husband doing everything to spoil their guests. Perfect breakfast and the option to dine in the guesthouse in the evening. Nice pool and sundeck to enjoy the weather. Highly recommended.

No complain, but you have to be aware of the two big dogs in the house. But they are super friendly and quiet.

Amazing choice at breakfast and the added benefit of being able to have a gourmet dinner in the evening on site. The owners are friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We will definitely return.

Breakfast was first class. The home made bread rolls were to die for! The room was modern, clean and beautifully maintained. Well stocked, fairly priced mini bar in the room. Room service requests dealt with promptly and effectively.

We just spent the most wonderful time in the Cape. Our hosts at Bloemenzee Boutique B&B provided not only the most unforgettable location with fantastic rooms, garden and view over Gordons Bay into False Bay, but also with unbelievable hospitality and the perfect level of family integration and respect for privacy. Dear Lidwien and Frans, thank you so much for a truly wonderful time. PS: Anyone staying at this gorgeous venue should seriously consider Frans's exclusive dinner. PPS: We thoroughly appreciated the absence of a TV set in the room.

Everything! From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the hosts and staff were welcoming, accommodating, friendly. Dine-in! You won’t regret it. Chef Frans is a culinary expert. There was nothing left to be desired. Lidwien was an absolute star. She made sure we felt at home at all times.

Arriving at Bloemenzee, you are warmly welcomed by Frans and Lidwien and that amazing hospitality continued throughout our stay. They both show a real interest in you and are amazing hosts. They make you feel at home. Our room was spacious, beds are comfy, with tea, coffee and tasty cookies available. The garden is beautifully maintained with two pools to cool off. The breakfasts were great and we had an evening meal cooked by Frans which was so delicious, some of the best food we had all trip. We were sad to leave and will definitely be returning.

We had the most wonderful stay at Bloemenzee. Lidwien and Franz are two amazing people in many ways. We felt like we where coming to two old friends. Both are so welcoming and warm. The food was amazing, Franz is a very. very good cook!!! The house and the garden is beautiful and safe. We will definitely come back and can only recommend this place.

Warm reception and absolutely amazing service throughout. Dinner and breakfast were both absolutely amazing and we were made to feel so comfortable and relaxed. Facilities were all functional and loved the central location.

Owner was too nosy… wanted to be too involved in what we were doing. Smell of dogs in the house, definitely wasn’t pleasant. Breakfast was too limited for vegetarians and pesketarians. Host wasn’t welcoming and was quite sarcastic at times.

Great location for visiting the surrounding area. Very clean accommodation, with everything that you need for a stress free holiday. The hosts were fantastic and helped us arrange our days, booking tickets and advising us on the best places to visit.
