Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Wir hatten unsere erste Übernachtung nach Ankunft in Johannesburg im Birchwood Hotel. Der Shuttle war super! Unsere Unterkunft war sehr sauber und die Betten bequem. Das Frühstück Buffet war sehr umfangreich und lecker. Die Anlage war wie ein kleines Dörfchen liebevoll gepflegt.

I went to an event in Sunday evening, when I came back to my room I had no were to park,parkings were so full to an extent that I had to park on a drive way.I didn't like what I did but had jo choice. I did call yhe hotel staff to intervene but they couldn't help me.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Great stay, safe location, clean rooms and linen, nice patio, safe parking, a bar fridge always helps. Pity we could only spend one night, would have loved to explore more. Will visit again hopefully for a much better room ideal for work.
The working desk in our room only had one power socket which takes one plug so it was a nightmare for two people to work. Also only one chair, not ideal if you're going to be doing any work there. The restaurant/bar next to reception was stocked out, did not have any alcohol, not even a Savanna, disappointing for a tourist. And that's the reason it was empty, no patrons.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and proximity close to the airport. There are many malls and shops near the hotel. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from the airport and to EastRand Mall at specific times during the day.
The hotel would do well to install morden aircons. The weather was very cold and aircorn was not very effective in heating up the room.

Due to proximity to the airport, it can be noisy at night. Better soundproofing would be good.

The fact that my roommate pyjamas were taken mistakenly by the cleaners and after reporting to the admin, at first they say they were looking for them and after existing and on our way back home, we were told that they managed to locate it but they were expecting us to find a way to collect it instead of taking the responsibility of courier it to our destination since the mistake happened on their side

I reported to the staff on duty and asked my case to be reported to the management. I have not received any correspondence from them 😥

On-site restaurant - the food was terrible and I got food poisoning. The waiting staff were very kind but running around. We waiting almost 2 hours for the food.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026We were greeted with friendly staff.Our room was exactly what we expected and very luxurious.The property was well kept and clean with a clear layout so you couldn't get lost and the food was exceptional at the restaurant as well,even with the one night we spent it felt like we could shut out the noise of every day life and felt well rested and ready for the coming week.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Airport shuttle is convenient and complimentary. They allowed us to park our car there for a week free of charge, which was a great surprise. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast is next level!
No milk in the rooms, we weren't able to park next to our unit, which made carrying lots of luggage difficult. There was no buffet dinner, and the included dinner at the Grill was not great.

The airport pickup on arrival was horrible. I waited two hours. Apparently a bus came after 1 hour - but I didn't see it. I had called the hotel, and it would have been helpful if the driver came over to where we were waiting. Also, the bed in my room was uncomfortable; hard mattress. The leaf blower came early in the morning, which disturbed my sleep.

She is an asset to your organisation
