It is a local hotel but foreigners are made to feel very welcome by Nilupa, the woman running it, and the staff. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. Nilupa did everything she could to help us have a great stay.

If you are less familiar with non-western style hotels, be aware that it seems normal for the food (which was delicious and plentiful) to be served cold. The shower also has no hot water but you may not need it. The location is by a main road and the train runs along the other side of the river but I still slept well. The pictures may flatter the rooms a little.

False advertising... no sauna, no hot water, one towel for 2 people for 3 nights, smokers next door, substandard food options, smelly dining area, cats are everywhere

Excellent value hotel with friendly staff. The street is surprisingly quiet, and the location is great. helped me with the airport shuttle.

Basic room, has everything you need for the night even if not in the best condition. Close to Pekoe Trail.

Sheets and towels were dirty, they ask more money from foreigners, the bathroom was filthy and all in all it was a bad place to stay especially for the money. Too expensive and could not understand what the employee was saying. Would not reccommend. They also showed us their budget room which was still expensive and had a bathroom that was basivally outside and did not even have a proper shower or working toilet.

Perfect for family weekend or holiday. Affordable price. Beautiful surroundings and plenty to do. foods are reasonable price.

The family is the most adorable, we really felt home! We even had the opportunity to learn how to cook sri lankan traditional rice and curry.

Bathroom was in the condition of repairment, so it was not possible at all even wash hands normally. It was not the case when we saw rooms and bathrooms pictures on the Booking web-site. Also, sound isolating was extremely poor, you cannot sleep if somebody talks loudly outside

A place with a very quiet, beautiful environment with natural beauty. different types of rooms for affordable price ranges. it was easy to choose among them. highly recommended

The hosts are really nice and make you feel at home from the outset. We had great conversations with them and they suggested a few things that we should do while in Sri Lanka. The staff are helpful, friendly and always smiling. The rooms are designed really well and extremely comfortable.

It was clean, but very expensive for what it was. No WiFi, and quite far from town. You have to walk 25 minutes. But nice views.

There was no one there when we arrived, and they didn’t know what room we booked. It is a bit far from town and there is no WiFi, even though it says so.

we stayed only one night but is was perfect for this short stay. I can recommend it for a longer stay as well. The bathroom was really nice, beds were comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, friendly staff. own restaurant. very easy
