There was nothing to like

The rooms were very small, toilets were not cleaned. Host zaid was not helpful. Every night there was no electricity. Internet was not good enough. Not value for money.

King of Kings Houseboat is quaint, homely, cozy, safe and very comfortable. The stay was very affordable compared to other houseboats or hotels in Srinagar. Ara, Jaafar and Zaid treated us like family and made sure we had everything we needed at any time during our stay. They helped us with pickup from airport, taxi to Sonmarg, Pahalgam, and shikara rides. Jaafar was kind to drop and pick us up from the boulevard to the houseboat if we needed multiple trips during the day or even late at night. The food provided was homely and the hosts were kind enough to prepare the dishes we requested, including the Kashmiri Wazwan which was delicious! I would recommend King of Kings houseboat stay to everyone and I can’t wait to be back in Srinagar and stay here again.

I went here in September last week climate has started chilling and first impression of the boathouse itself was superb and staff jaffer was very kind and helpful he guided us very politely and helpfull....

What I loved most about the property was not only was it exceptionally clean but you could tell the design of the boat house was extremely thoughtful and well-designed and invested in. The rooms, which are relatively cheap given it’s luxurious appearance, live up to the name of the boat house, King of Kings. You really feel as if you’re a King (or Queen), perhaps attending a royal castle that just happens to be on a boat. As a servant myself back in the USA, I really appreciated the hospitality of the staff — especially Jeff who works with such a sincerity of heart to ensure the guest are well-pleased and taken care of. The owner of the home is also a very sweet woman who isn’t just in it to make profit but to help the traveler have an experience that he or she won’t forget. I’ve never stayed on a boat house before so this was new to me and I’m so thankful I selected this location. If you’re in Kashmir, you’ll be thankful to stay at this residential. Know you’ll be well taken care of as if you’re home with your own family. As a sole traveler, that’s a priceless feeling given you’re on the road and staying in so many various places, that the ones that feel like home you cherish in your heart and appreciate dearly. I highly recommend Kings of Kings, and trust that you will too! ♥️

This isn’t about the property but about the mosquitoes in Kashmir. I came from Lahdak which is high in the dry mountains and was there for 12 days so I got spoiled by not coming into contact with mosquitoes, but there in Kashmir, as expected given you’re surrounded by mountains and a lake, the mosquitoes are there. But even then, the staff had some spray and a tool they used to try to kill them. So they try to make you comfortable even when it’s hard to do so! Otherwise, perfect palace. Go enjoy!

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful house boat owner, lovely and great first impression of houseboat. Mr. Jaffar is very friendly nature. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Houseboat room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
