Reviewed Aug 16, 2026The owner was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Communication was excellent from the beginning, and he met us at the property, showed us around and explained everything clearly. The property was lovely, clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the croissants, tea, coffee and other essentials. The lockbox was also very handy for a group staying together.
There was nothing we didn’t like. Everything was perfect for our stay.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026The location was amazing, short distance to everything. Michael is so welcoming. Beds are super comfortable and the layout is so spacious. It was my father's 60th birthday and we spent two nights here, my godfather was also there and we're already talking about staying there all together again. I would also like to recommend the fantastic restaurant Vittos, amazing staff and food that is to die for.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Michael was a fantastic and friendly host. He popped round to check that all was well after we had checked in. We were cycling the Kingfisher Way and we were able to store our bikes in the property which was great. Michael gave us a dinner and pub recommendation - we had a great time in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Reviewed May 15, 2026This house is a real find! And the owner is a complete gentleman! Not only did he allow us to drop our bags to the house early, he called when we were en route on the train to say the weather in Carrick was wet and windy, and he would collect us from the station!! And he did, brought us to the house to drop our bags and freshen up and dropped us down town! And then absolutely refused payment! An absolute 5 star host! Location of the house is ideal, a 10/15 minute walk from mchughs! The house is really clean and well maintained.
The only thing ( and it is so minor) that could be improved on, is darker curtains in the front bedroom!! Very bright, the morning after the night before😂

Reviewed Jan 3, 2026Accommodation was grand. Glad I didn't pay more. Location was good but the general feel of the estate was rundown. I am originally from Carrick so felt safe but if I arrived into similar estate in a town I didn't know i would not have felt safe. House could do with serious update. Horrible covering at back garden that let in no light. House was warm. I wouldn't choose to go back here.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2025Very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, quiet area, slept really well. A short walk to the town center Good size property. Very nice owner. Kindly offered to drop us to the train station .
If I had to say something it is that the Main bathroom was very clean but had a bit of an unpleasant odor, not sure where it was coming from. Perhaps a recent leak has caused it.
