Tokai Forest Guest House

Paula was an excellent host.

We have a suggestion for a few hooks in the room/bathroom (behind doors maybe) for towels and gowns to be hung up, and it needs a mirror by the dressing table to dry hair - could possibly keep a free-standing mirror in the drawer of the table.

Nice customised breakfast according to the wish of the guest. Also adapted the timing for me.

The bed was rather large but a big hard to sleep on, and so were the pillows, rather firm.

The food, bath and pool. A very special packed breakfast was made for us on our novelty train ride to Elgin train market from Capetown! I love visiting here especially because it is close to kirstenbosche, the train station and the airport ♡ thank you for the lovely stay with the amazing attention to detail

The room was beautiful, clean and I loved the location of the guest house as it was right next to.the beautiful Tokai forest and very close to mountains if you want to go hiking or mountainbiking. Paula and Michaela were outstanding hosta and I felt like home from the firs moment I arrived to the Guest House

The breakfast was good. Everything was well prepared and the setting was peaceful. The location was great calm, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation, surrounded by nature. However, the outdoor lighting could be improved, as it gets quite dark around the property at night, which can feel a bit unsettling when walking outside.

1. The Wi-Fi was functional, but the signal tended to be weak in some parts of the guest house. Improving the coverage would make a big difference for guests 2. My stay was comfortable, but a few additional room amenities like a mini fridge would have made it even more convenient.

The place was beautifully maintained, luxurious and the hosts were fabulous. The Tokai Forest was just a short distance away a major shopping Centre and great restaurants within a 1km.

Świetna lokalizacja dla kogoś, kto chce odpocząć od zgiełku. Na skraju lasu, w dzielnicy willowej. Miła obsługa (czuliśmy się jak wśród rodziny :)), smaczne śniadanie. Pokoje gustowne, czyste, ergonomiczne - nawet ten najmniejszy był ustawny (mieliśmy w sumie 3, jeden na dwie a dwa na trzy noce). Materace łóżek takie, że naprawdę się odpoczywało.

Great location, good size room and friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was of a high standard as well as the choice of hot breakfast.

Our room seemed to be going through a revamp although the bathroom door didn't fully close and there was no mirror in the bathroom, the room looked onto the small yard where washing was hanging which wasn't pleasant so if a fence was to be installed between the washing and windows with some plants it would look a lot more appealing given the fact that the property looks onto Tokai Forest.

The Location was excellent. Breakfast was always freshly cooked and delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very considerate.

Perfect and magical location next to the beautiful forest. Easy to get an uber to the vineyards. We really enjoyed chatting to other guests and owners at breakfast.

Our host was absolutely brilliant - so friendly, welcoming and helpful which made my stay special from the very start. The atmosphere of the place is incredibly cozy and comfortable , making it the perfect spot to relax . It genuinely felt like home for a few days. The breakfast was great and I would happily stay here again.

I would have preferred real coffee, and not instant coffee in the room. Possibly get a plunger with real coffee so I could make my own coffee in the room although proper Americano is available at breakfast.

The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The property is in a lovely and peaceful neighbourhood and an easy commute to different areas. Parking available and with access via an automated gate. Breakfasts were fabulous and a highlight of the day.

Coming from an old, expensive, run down and scuffy B&B in Stellenbosch, this was like a breath of fresh air. The room was large, beautifully decorated (with a carpet) and the bathroom was also spacious. The garden looked well thought out and tended. Michaela, the owner was very friendly and sweet, as were her mother and friend. So welcoming. I can quite honestly say our stay was blissful. Will we stay here again - like a shot.

This is an excellent guest house in a superb location on the edge of a forest. Warm and welcoming hosts and great staff who can’t do enough for you.

No small fridge in my room, unlike the other rooms.

The outside facilities we limited and if all guested wanted to use them, there was not enough. Only 3 sun loungers for 12 quests. It would have been useful to have a BBQ included with the room with kitchen facilities

Breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly staff and I felt right at home. They were also very accommodating and organized.

The TV remote didn't work properly. It switches over to a computer mouse, and it doesn't make good contact. I ended up not watching TV, which is not a problem for me, but it might be for the next guest.
