The location is ideal for the sunrise viewing of the water lilies. Very peaceful and breezy. Perfect for small groups or a family outing. Excellent service provided by Sajith who was very helpful and organised the one hour boat tour

Went to this location for pre wedding photoshoot amongst the lotus flowers. It's a very beautiful hotel. The host helped us arrange a taxi for the airport. He was very helpful and nice.

We had a wonderful stay, thanks to Sajith's exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive to our needs. He provided excellent local recommendations that helped us make the most of our visit and went above and beyond by arranging a fantastic boat ride for us. His kindness, responsiveness, and thoughtful assistance made our experience truly memorable. Even the breakfast was home made and fantastic. We highly recommend staying with Sajith and would gladly return in the future.

The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was awesome, but due to on going electricity issues we were shifted to the next room. So the staff genuinely helped. However check with the electricity and AC situation as they have 1 staff. Alos, not of any fault of property insects are a problem and you should listen to the staff on guidelines to keep them out (dont keep your doors open as ther eis a lake near by and inscets in the bedroom can be a thing)

Leider war der Gastgeber sehr penetrant, wenig Rücksicht auf Privatsphäre. Es gab sehr häufig stromausfälle. Badezimmermöbel marode. Smart TV hat nicht funktioniert. Frühstück nach der ersten Nacht sehr reichlich, jedoch nach der zweiten nur noch die Hälfte bzw sparsam.

La maison est dans un coin paumé, Google maps vous donne le chemin le plus compliqué pour y accéder . Vous êtes loin de tout , un jeune homme en moto vous dépanne pour aller chercher un repas pour le soir

Le logement a été fait récemment, les équipements sont encore tout neufs. On dort vraiment dans les backwaters, au plus près des canaux, des rizières, des oiseaux C’était très pratique d’avoir un quai d’embarquement / débarquement du ferry qui mène à Allepey à 30 mètres du logement. La navigation dure 2 heures et ça permet un bon aperçu des backwaters.

Beautiful surroundings and the room was well laid out

No facilities in the room. There were coffee packets, milk powder, sugar but no tea, no cups no stirrers. No food. Very poor road to access the property

Paadam by the Backwaters is a small, beautifully done 3-room resort located close to the backwaters and surrounded by lush paddy fields. When we visited, the fields were filled with water, giving the serene feeling of being surrounded by nature on all sides. The rooms were spotless and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Food delivery from Swiggy and Zomato was quick and convenient, around 30 to 45 minutes. A special mention to Sujith, the manager, who made us feel completely at home. He was always available for any help and even went out of his way to get us things from outside, truly exceptional hospitality! We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Definitely planning to come back again!

A few small points to note, Few mosquitoes entered the room at night, which was a bit disturbing, but I later realized that the Goodnight mosquito repellent machine was not switched on (my mistake). Keeping the doors closed at night is a must. The pillows were slightly thick; a thinner option would have been more comfortable. The approach road to the property is narrow, and the last 100 meters are gravel. You might not get the best vibe while approaching, but once the gate opens and you see the resort, you’ll instantly feel happy you came.

Beautifully unique location on a narrow, potholey road beside a backwater canal and surrounded by paddy fields and locals’ homes. I hidden gem to say the least. Host Sajith truly goes above and beyond for his guests through not just his genuine kindness but also special efforts to insure we well cared for. The gate, fencing, and multiple locks on doors insured safety, and the carefully manicured lawn and trees gave the property a true oasis feel. I would be comfortable staying here as a single woman (I stayed here with my fiancé).

There was truly nothing I didn’t like about the property personally. However, I could see the rough, single-vehicle wide road being a deterrent for some.

The place and location is unique and beautiful. The surroundings are quite scenic too. The rooms are tastefully and minimalistically designed. Beds are clean and comfy.

Breakfast is quite pricey and I would avoid booking the boat trip through them.

This is a beautiful property and the helper Sajith was really helpful.

The stay was cozy, Sajith was very accommodating and was present for late check-out also.The stay was scenic and comfortable with basic amenities. Malarikkal view point is just 1km away and Sajith arranged for the boating at a nominal cost. Breakfast was good too.

The place is amazing, the field was underwater, but for me, it was like having a private lake. Sajith was nice and helpful, going beyond to make our visit the most comfortable possible!

We had a great time at Paadam by the backwaters. Sajith was an amazing host. We did the morning tour in the beautiful backwaters and had a nice indian breakfast afterwards. If you want to have a calm break in the nature from all the hustle in the city, the place is perfect for a relaxing time.

Loved the place with paddy fields around, mango trees, cotton & coconut trees. The caretaker, is very nice and takes care of everything nicely.

Secluded little spot with a great ambience. It’s a treat to have that view and the backwaters right outside. Sajith was very helpful and checked on everything through out the stay.

The lights outside at night are quite bright and the pillows are too big to sleep on. Had to use the cushion.

Even though the place is good some inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour from staff was uncomfotrtable.( Like trying to open the door suddenly and interfering personal space too much) So overall experience was not okay.

We had to leave by 6.40am & they could not serve bfast and they were ordering from a home in that remote location which will be ready only by 8am.

The location was so horrible and access roads were unbearable and pictures shown in booking .com were totally misleading and totally disappointed, Rate charged seems extreamly high and would expect 50% refund to my given card details.

The room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. The approach road to the places was a bit difficult, the final 100m stretch was really bad. We didn't have the breakfast, so I can't comment. The caretaker Sajith was a nice and helpful person. He arranged an early morning boot ride from the please. We enjoyed the sunrise and the ride. Overall we enjoyed the stay...

The place is a paradise if you love to stay away from a busy worklife. It was a heaven in the middle of paddy fields. I would highly recommend this place who likes to enjoy the calmness! Also not to miss out the boat trip you can take on the early mornings. Sajith the caretaker is very helpful!

Paadam by the Backwaters is a beautiful property nestled in a wonderful setting that provides a quintessential glimpse into the life of the Kuttanad region. While the property on the whole presents a traditional vibe, the facilities on offer feel very current and state of the art. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished and comfortable. The landscape is impeccably maintained and the outdoor space is as good as the interiors. Sajith, the staff who looks after the property was friendly and ever ready to help. The location is easy to find for Swiggy and Zomato personnel, so arranging food is not a hassle. Special thanks also to Rejin, who was the boat driver for the boat tour of the Vembanad backwaters and lake, which was arranged for us by Sajith. He was a well-versed local guide, and our conversations with him taught us a lot about the local flora, fauna and ways of life. On the whole, Paadam by the Backwaters is a wonderful getaway spot to visit with family, friends, or for some quality time by oneself.

It was a bit of a shocker to know that the property currently does not accept Credit Card payment and all payments, including the room booking had to be cleared using Google Pay at the end. I wish that is something that had been informed in prior so that we could have been better prepared. Also, requesting the property owner to enable a card payment facility at the earliest so that future travellers won't face this inconvenience. It would help if an electric bat / insect repellant incense or spray is provided in the rooms as there are a lot of tiny insects that enter the room at night when we open the door.

The property was well maintained and very beautiful .. had the experience of both paddy fields and backwaters. The care taker Sajit was very helpful.

Coffee was good, staff very helpful, enjoyed the use of a bicycle Room very clean and big. Everything was newly done. Sajith was very helpful in organising rickshaws and recommending a local restaurant for us.

It’s quiet and away from the commercialization of backwaters!! The internet was good which actually gives sometime to sit and work. Sajith the caretaker was very nice and he helped us arrange a small ride in the shikara in backwaters.

This is for the management, could develop a SPA for the guests, some activities.

The stay was amazing. The location is prime. Enjoyed the stay....the care take Sajith played a good host and was on his toes if we needed any thing. Would highly recommend this homestay and I will surely want to visit back again.

The properties located in such a beautiful area with canal lanes on one side and paddy field on the other side. Very clean. The care taker is also very helpful and was available 24/7 for all the needs and supports.
