Room 5 only had the one window in the bedroom and due to being at the top of the building the room would get very hot at night

Amazing deco, it smelled really nice throughout the whole building. The staff checked up on us once we checked in and left a little something for us when i mentioned that it was my partner’s birthday - highly appreciated that. We will be back.

Absolutely adores the dog friendliness and welcome treats the small touches went a huge way. Decor is amazing and everything is so thoughtfully thought of. We have been wanting to visit for a long time and can honestly say it was worth the wait and truly even better than we could have imagined.

Great location, they provide a little pamphlet with recommendations for places to go and eat which was really helpful too! The staff were really helpful and replied quickly. The amenities were fantastic too.

I booked The Penn as a getaway from the city for my nervous rescue pup. The staff were accommodating with my request to have a quieter room, and it really made a difference for my dog's enjoyment. We were able to pop in and out quickly without running into much foot traffic in the hallways. They also gave a welcome gift for the two of us, which we both loved! The bed was comfortable and overall, it was a fantastic stay.

This was our second time staying at The Penn, and it was just as amazing as the first time. The interior is so cosy but also with a luxurious feel. The bed is the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in, I need to know what sheets and mattress they have! We came for a couple nights to celebrate my birthday and they gave us a bottle of Prosecco which was such a lovely touch. If you’re going to stay anywhere in the lakes I would always recommend The Penn and would only stay here when visiting the lakes, we will be back!!

Absolutely nothing bad to say about The Penn.

Great bathroom, comfortable room, nicely decorated, convenient location, nice welcome gift for the dog, thoughtful touches like a bowl and bed for her.

Main downside was the fridge. It didn't keep things cool at all.

The room was clean, bathroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect, right next to the station and close to everything. Rooms look very nice.

No cupboard or wardrobe to store belongings and clothes

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Such a cute and charming little room, when we arrived the radio was on which was a nice touch, we were also left a little gift of a sweet treat from a local maker which was a lovely touch. En-suite shower was excellent.

It was a small room, we stayed on a Saturday night in peak season so the cost was high but probably in keeping with the area and time of year!

The location could not be better, really, within walking distance of the train and bus station. The room was really comfy and nicely equipped with retro elements, such as the fridge. It was great to enter the room and find the radio on with nice music. Thank you very much for the welcome note and the candy. I did not expect that. Good provision of coffee and tea. Thanks for the coffee machine; I was able to prepare my breakfast there. My room has a nice view, and although it was above the road, it was quiet during the night. The temperature inside the room was really nice. The staff is informative and replies soon. The shower has new facilities, and it was easy to regulate the temperature.

Too many stairs are not ideal when carrying heavy luggage. I found hair in the shower. Check-out is early at 10:00 am, and there is no storage room. There is a tourist office nearby where you can store your luggage, but there are stairs again. You need to pay £10 regardless of how long you need storage, and you must return before 16:30; otherwise, you will need to collect your luggage the next day.

Room was lovely and the staff were so helpful and made the stay even better. Would recommend.

The bathroom floor was slightly stained but this didn’t impact our stay.

A lovely set up in a beautiful part of the world! The room was immaculate, there was some nice treats for us on arrival, couldn't fault a thing!

The room was comfortable and decorated beautifully also perfectly located for arriving by train. Lovely welcome pack sent by email in advance of stay. We were contacted to choose our exact room prior to our stay which was a lovely touch.

I tried contacting the Penn by email in advance of our stay to ask about alternative luggage storage and received no reply. The room isn’t serviced during your stay, for the price point it feels like this could be included. We selected a room on an upper floor, the Penn is on a fairly busy road and we were glad to be on an upper floor for our stay.

The decor is just beautiful. Our second stay, another beautiful room. We needed a chilled week and the Penn ensured that. Perfect location, brilliant communication and luxury accommodation.

Small things, but the fire alarm has a flashing green light, which is fine, but when you wake up in the night it lights up the room. Our fridge also didn’t keep our drinks cold or cool. That’s being very picky!!

The Penn liegt in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und ist somit gut an den gesamten Lake District angebunden. Unser Zimmer war klein, aber sehr geschmackvoll mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet.

Unser Zimmer lag zur vielbefahrenen Straße, sodass es recht laut war.

Very conviently located in Windermere, near Booths and the station with lots of cafes nearby. We managed to park at the property which was great. Really nicely decorated (although the bedside lights could do with warmer bulbs). Good supply of teas and coffees, and the fudge is a lovely touch.

The room was incredibly warm, and as it’s near the main road it was quite noisy with the window open. It seemed as though the shower gel had been watered down.

Very comfy bed and pillows. Was provided with a fan due to the weather.

No hangers if our stay was longer

the penn was warm, welcoming and homely. the location is fantastic and just a short walk into windermere and about 20 mins to bowness. the room was equipped with a fan as it was hot, without having to request one, the bed was comfy and well needed after a day on the hills. and the shower , WOW don’t get me started on how good that was, with the added bonus of a bath to get them legs up oh and my i add they gave us a bath bomb, like cmon unreal, exceptional place, 100% recommend to friends family and my dog because yes it’s pet friendly

not one single thing that even nearly springs to mind, maybe that i can’t stay here EVERY week

The room was exceptionally cozy, which is perfect for rest after hiking. Also, it is close to the railway station which makes it stay in the Penn very convenient for train commuters.

The room was beautiful and perfectly situated. The hosts were very accommodating when I said we were planning to bring our dog and left a personalised welcome pack for him. I was particularly impressed by the luxurious bathroom and the wide range of drinks provided in the room.

Location of the property was great and dog friendly! Staff were lovely and accommodating for a last minute stay. Room was nice and clean and great decor.

The room was extremely hot and the fan provided could only do so much. Also being placed near the front door was alarming to the dog as the front door slams quite hard with people coming and going and would disturb her throughout the night. Possibly placing dogs away from the front door would help dogs settle easier. TV could do with being set up fully to use as a smart TV.

Love the interior and the detail. Everything is beautiful and they really did think of everything to make sure the stay is as comfortable and nice as possible for the room.

The checkout time is very early. It’s not a usual time to check out at 10AM I think this makes it less valuable.

Could not fault our stay at The Penn. Spotless and very comfortable stay- will definitely be returning 10/10.

Check-in and out was super easy, room was beautiful and finished to a really high standard. Hosts made the experience really special and location was great and very close to the town.

Not much to be honest, overall it was a great stay. The hotel is close to the main road and so it's quite loud, but I wear earplugs to sleep and so it wasn't a problem.

The location was good, close to the centre of town. It was helpful to have parking there. The room was comfortable and well equipped, although compact. The shower was very good.

Although the automated do-it-yourself concept worked well for us, it is limiting. Another guest wanted yo leave his luggage after checking out but there is no one to ask about such things.

Such a gorgeous place to stay, this was my second time. Beautiful rooms, perfect location and the bed was so comfy!

Beautifully presented property. The whole room was lovely and clean. The free standing bath was amazing and the bed was comfy. The location was perfect. There is street parking which was free 9pm-9am and then you get 1 hour no return so it lasted until check out time which was great. We spent our wedding night here and the staff made it feel so special. Would highly recommend to anyone!

For such a small space, it was thoughtfully designed and the quality of the room and everything in it was just beautiful!

The Penn is such a beautiful little place, myself and my boyfreind stayed just for one night but we felt so at home! We loved how modern but warm and homely it felt, and the tiny little finishes touches were so wonderful! Such a great location and such an easy process to get into your room. The owners were wonderful and upgraded us which was so so kind! We will 100% be back

Absolutely nothing it was fab!

There were 2 things that I didn't like nowhere to hang clothes. Only one window opens. Everything else was perfect: a great, comfortable bed, excellent shower, shower gel hand pumps didn't work

It was a gorgeous place to stay and very comfortable. On arrival the radio was on, it was like home from home, we wished we were there longer than one night. A bottle of bubbly and a note was left for us as my partner was celebrating a big birthday, a nice touch.

The room & bed was quite small compared to other rooms we have stayed at in the building, but still lovely & comfy.

入室時や室内のオイルヒーターの説明文の文字が小さくて読めない(>_<) オイルヒーターはコントロールパネルで操作しますが 、23度が上限 のよう、しかし 体感は 21度ぐらいで少し寒い。気温15度でも半袖短パンで出歩くイギリス人基準？少し厳しい。 ベッドが高くて柔らかいので降りる時に気をつけないと転びそうになる、 これも ヨーロッパ基準かな ？私はルーム2でしたが シャワー室の扉が半 扉 なので バスルーム内にお湯が飛び散る。これは一番良くない。 ベッドサイドのテーブルにラジオが置いてあるが テーブル自体が小さいので邪魔、なくてもいいと思う。やはりハンガーラックは欲しい ！デスクが小さくてもいいので ポール型のハンガーラック 欲しい、。 夏なので荷物は少なかったが 冬だったら絶対必要。 最後にシャワー室のシャンプーなどのディスペンサー 5本あるボトルのうち3本が固まってて押せなかった(T-T)シャワーヘッドが緩んだりしていた 、これは一時的なエラー と思うので減点対象をしてないが 少し残念なポイント。

So much care had been taken in the smaller touches in the room like leaving a little treat for my dog and leaving me a little treat for my birthday! The style and comfort of the room was immaculate, perfect size, everything was clean and there were tea/coffee - can't fault anything!

房间面积很小，行李箱都摆不开，安全度高到小偷进来都开不了门（被顶住了）；自助入住门锁操作指引不清晰，导致半小时都没开门，还好员工亲自过来解决；酒店位置在高速公路边上，噪音很大，感觉车子像在身边开过，整晚没有睡着；房间内设施简陋，没有置物空间，很不方便。

Great location, very clean, bathroom was stunning. Managed to get parking at the property which was great.

Paid for a king sized room but didn’t feel very large, also had one very small window meaning the room was very dark. I probably wouldn’t have minded but given we paid for a room ‘upgrade’ it didn’t feel worth it.

The room was immaculate and was well equipped with facilities. The location was close to town and easy accessible to public transport.

The refrigerator was not functioning as expected. The intensity of cold inside the fridge was low though the setting knob was maximum.

It was in a perfect area not too far from anything. It was very quaint and beautiful decor. We would definatly stay again and felt very safe.
