Mature Home Ella

The family that run the guest house are extremely hospitable - helping us book transportation and safaris at very reasonable prices. The food and tea were also fantastic, some of which they grow in their backyard! Would highly recommend.

The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Located in a quiet, peaceful spot away from the main street. Nice breakfast, good wifi and kept very clean.

La camera in cui ho soggiornato era spaziosa, curata, pulita e ordinata. Al centro della stanza un lettone gigante super comodo su cui riposare ottimamente e ricaricare le batterie fisiche e mentali. Posizionata in un contesto molto tranquillo e silenzioso con ristoranti e piccoli banchetti alimentari in classico stile asiatico lungo la strada. Si può scendere una scalinata per arrivare in centro città e avere facile accesso alle principali attività e attrazioni di Ella. Si può sennò optare per gli efficientissimi Tuk Tuk onnipresenti ad ogni angolo delle strade, in qualunque via e viuzza. La colazione a dir poco favolosa, abbondante e variegata. Ottima per cominciare bene la giornata. Un pensiero speciale ai padroni di casa, semplicemente fantastici. Gentili, disponibili e super accoglienti. Consiglio vivamente il soggiorno in questa struttura!!! Ho soggiornato al Mature home dopo 8 giorni in Sri Lanka ed è stata senza alcun dubbio la migliore per distacco. Struttura accogliente immersa nella natura. Camera essenziale e pulita. Shashi e la sua famiglia sono veramente gentili e premurosi. Ottima la colazione con molta scelta e frutta fresca. Eccellente l’organizzazione del Safari a Yala National Park compreso il trasporto andata e ritorno dalla struttura.

Necessario tuktuk per raggiungere il centro di Ella.

Waouuh ! Nous avons passé un super séjour dans ce logement. Outre le logement qui est parfait, la famille est d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle et très serviable. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

The owners were very kind, friendly and helpful. We felt they really cared about our stay in Ella. Breakfasts were great. It's very nice to have breakfast, while watching squirrels playing in the garden's trees.

The location is above Ella, and a bit remote. We went down by walk but on the way back it was a 10 minute ride with a tuktuk. The owner was nicw and when he could, gave us a lift with his tuktuk.

La gentillesse du couple avec une vraie volonté d’échange sans vente superflue. Un service top, un coin retiré dans la nature. On y déguste les fruits , le thé et le café du jardin. Une belle rencontre désireuse de faire plaisir. La possibilité de commander un repas typique le soir.

Ça reste assez loin du centre mais avec les conseils de Shashi un petit raccourci par des escaliers. Compter 20/25 minutes de marche pour rejoindre le ville ou commander un tuk tuk ou directement Shashi qui peut venir vous chercher avec son tuk tuk

The breakfast was the most delicious we've had in Sri Lanka and it was the best night's sleep we had too!

I enjoyed my stay. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, and the place is very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. The room offers good value for money 😃

Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars, ze zorgen hier echt voor hun gasten. Een zeer lieve goedlachse familie, de ontvangst is hartelijk. De kamer is ruim, proper, heeft een goed bed met klamboe. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en gevarieerd, elke dag iets anders. A volonté koffie of thee gedurende dag. We waren hier 3 nachten en het mocht gerust nog iets langer zijn. De tuin is prachtig en je kan er elke dag genieten van de vele eekhoorns. S' ochtends kun je er zelfs herten spotten. De eigenaar hielp me met het regelen van het busvervoer en dat heeft ons enorm geholpen, hij kan ook tegen zeer gunstige tarieven je komen oppikken.

Excellent accueil, hôtes très agréables et disponibles, chambre confortable Cuisine excellente Je recommande... mais difficile d'accès et positionnement imprécis . Ne pas hésiter à demander aux chauffeurs de tuk tuk ou taxi de se faire préciser l'accès

I liked the surroundings, the nature around it, the hosts where superkind and made us wonderful supper and breakfast. Also good communication w fast replies. The bed was comfortable and a big bathroom that worked as it should. I enjoyed the terrace. Would definitely come back! Thanks

Little bit difficult acces by car, but there is a shortcut to the main road (about 200m) if you don’t mind stairs

Viaggio con un'amica da 20 GG in Sri Lanka e Mature home si è rivelata la migliore sistemazione. Camera pulita, colazione ottima e abbondante, ma la gentilezza e la disponibilità dei gestori non ha eguali. Bravissimi. È stato un vero piacere conoscervi!

Ich war 3 Nächte in der Unterkunft und hab meine Zeit dort sehr genossen! Das Zimmer war sauber, gemütlich und hatte eine warme, gute Dusche. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich nett, konnten mir mit allen Fragen weiterhelfen und ich hab jeden Tag ein sehr leckeres, abwechslungsreiches Frühstück erhalten. Die Lage ist sehr gut, in einer schönen Umgebung mit nur circa 15 Minuten Fußweg zum Zentrum.

各方面都很好，房東夫婦人也非常友善。 位置在山上，能眺望遠山和俯瞰城鎮。早上起來可以感受日出

Sehr nette Gastgeber mit exzellenten Frühstück. An einem Abend wurde für uns gekocht. Superlecker. Wir haben eine Tour zum Dyaluma Wasserfall gemacht mit unserem Host. Sehr zu empfehlen.

La habitación es muy espaciosa, estaba muy limpia y el agua caliente en el baño funcionó de maravilla. También el wifi funciona muy bien. El desayuno estuvo muy bueno y nos pusieron cosas diferentes 3 días. El personal es muy amable y está siempre a disposición.

Si no estás fuerte de piernas puede que sufras un poco el subir y bajar. Pero para nosotros no fue un problema. A demás tiene hermosas vistas de camino y hay un atajo con una escalera.

Nice place at the incredibly beautiful place. All famous landmarks of Ella are at hand. The owners are polite and easy to deal with.

La atención de la familia, super majos y atentos, siempre con té y café disponible y dispuestos a ayudar con tema de transporte y cualquier información de Ella. La habitación muy cómoda y por un módico precio nos lavaron la ropa en 24h. Las vistas de baja son chulísimas. El enclave es una maravilla.

Los tuktuks no suben hasta la casa porque la cuesta es muy empinada, te dejan en una atajo de escaleras. La primera cargados con los macutos y la segunda lloviendo a mares fue un show.

It was the most comfortable night sleep of our stay in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was delicious and diverse and it was located in beautiful scenery.

The road up to the property was a bit challenging with our own Tuktuk but there is a shortcut for walking into the town.

L'immensa disponibilità del proprietario, sempre reperibile al telefono e pronto a cercare per noi driver, non solo nella zona di Ella. Ci ha anche trovato il tuk tuk per la mattina alle 6. La proprietaria sempre sorridente e discreta, oltre che un' ottima cuoca! Per la mattina in cui siamo partiti presto si é offerta di prepararci una colazione da asporto

La posizione difficilmente raggiungibile in macchina. Nessun problema invece per tuk tuk e scooter. Questo limite inoltre si aggira facilmente a piedi, grazie a circa 200 scalini che collegano direttamente alla strada principale

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer ist groß, mit grüner Aussicht und liegt unweit des Stadttrubels. Die Gastgeber sind super hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir waren 4 Nächte da und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Immer wieder gerne.

Apartamenty znajduje się na górze aby zejść do głównej drogi trzeba poświęcić 20 minut. Niestety dojazd do apartamentów utrudnionym polecam pojechać kawałek dalej wejść schodami bo drogą zajmuje to o wiele dłużej.

We tried many accommodations but this was the best in Sri Lank! Owners were super nice and honest, breakfast was delicious and rich, room was cozy, big and had everything you need. Definitely recommended! 😊

Lontani dal trambusto del centro, immersa nella natura. Proprietari super accoglienti e disponibili. Letto veramente comodo! Silenzioso la notte, abbiamo dormito benissimo.

Proprio a voler trovare qualcosa, si potrebbe mettere una tendina sulla porta che ha il vetro e lascia entrare luce la mattina

Superb hosts. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The host helped us plan bus journeys to our next destination and even checked that we managed to get the connecting bus. Breakfast was delicious! It was really nice to see chipmunks and wild deer while we ate breakfast, too.

Shashi was amazing and he helped us with everything. He did an Ella tour for us and took us and dropped us wherever we wanted, not even charged us for half of the things. He made sure we were safe and nobody would take advantage of us. His wife is lovely and prepared us breakfast and dinner every day, all delicious and wonderful. It's the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka for sure. Even the dogs they have are lovely. If it was possible to put a 11/10, we would.

Everything was perfect.

The driver picked me up from station even with train delays. A few times he gave me a lift free to Ella Town if he was going that way. Lovely view of Mini Ravana Falls and Sun rise if you step outside your room and walk 2 mins. The wife happy to do laundry at high street prices, although the tough marks did not come out, it was convenient for me as I saved on carrying it to laundry. They provided water bottle at superstore prices, again very convenient if you can't carry heavy stuff.

The road to get to the home is extremely steep even Tuk Tuk struggle and charge double because of it. If you are fit and happy to walk 100 steps down as a short cut to main road, then walk or Tuk Tuk the remainder this place is a little hard to get to amenities and restaurants. It would have been good to be made aware of this by the owners, as a disabled person this was a big disappointment..

Shashi and his wife are the loveliest people, we had a wonderful time at their homestay. They organised us a scooter, helped with transport, were available whenever we needed anything and were so hospitable, knowledgeable and helpful. The homemade dinner and breakfast were delicious. Thank you, we will be back!

Really nice host with good communication and helpful with picking you up in Ella Town and take you to the accommodation ☺️ The room is standard , clean and a little bit moist, but that’s probably just how it is in the mountains.

Location is far away from Ella town, and the tuk tuk drivers take 1000 rupees to drive you up to the accommodation because it’s far away and the road is in very bad condition. There is a short cut / many stairs down to the normal mountain road, so if you chose to walk down to Ella town it will take you around 20-25 minutes.

Very friendly people. If you call upon arrival they will send a tuktuk to fetch you from the Centre of Ella. Which is great because the tuktuk drivers in Ella have formed a cartel outside the pick me app. It’s a very nice and clean room and bathroom with hot water. Very nice breakfast area and garden. Very good breakfast. There is also a good laundry service. At the end we were dropped off at the busstop for the bus to Galle (you have to change bus at Matare) which was great.

Due to the climate in Ella the room is a bit humid. It didn’t bother us.

Friendly hosts who are passionate about their business. Can highly recommend to ask for dinner, was really delicious. They were also helpful in organizing transports (Taxi, Scooter, etc.) The room itself was clean and well maintained. Overall, great value for your money.

About the Place and Atmosphere

Raaly worth the money paid.and good friendly family. The breakfast was more qualitative and interresting then we expected. Also ,the night meal was a brand new experians to srilanka. A beautiful quite enviroment. We were lucky to see animals like deer in the morning. We want to say especilly We received such hospitality for the frist in sri lanka. Of course it should be paid. Thank you for the avocados that were given to us for free.they were very fresh
