Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Charming cottage run by a friendly, helpful family. We loved the fact that the family ran the pub next door ( drinks only) which gave us the chance to meet friendly locals. There are lovely walks in the nearby forest, and there’s a small grocery store a short distance away. When we weren’t out exploring, we enjoyed evenings watching telly by a peat fire.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2025The cottage has old world charm with all your modern facilities. Brian was welcoming and we appreciated the fire being lit for our arrival. The pub is just next door, although we didn't visit it there seems to be plenty of life about it. The cottage is rural but it's only 10 mins into the busy town of Loughrea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
