Urban Yard Hotel

Ubicación está exelente. El ambiente del hotel es tal relajado y con tema de naturaleza, hermoso. Tamaño del cuarto exelente, hermosos ventanales y espacioso baño. Limpieza impecable y atención del staff exelente. Definitivamente mi opción a hospedarme cuando regrese!

Lo único que podría decir es q hubiera deseado el desayuno incluido en el precio de la habitación.

Terrible location. Very dangerous. Lots of sketchy people around. Smells like piss outside. Crazy people screaming all night. It’s close to the roughest train station in all of Europe.

First class hotel,shame about the immediate area,though i had no issues or problems with the local hangouts,and no sign of any trouble.The Urban Yard is a very clean comfortable place,the rooms are decorated to a high standard with all the mod coms etc.The lounge and terrace area is also a goo feature of the hotel,right next door is a bistro,and over the square is the Bar Q bistro great place for a drink or meal.

The local area needs re gentrification being charged £5 per night tax the county council should use this tourist tax to bring the area up to scratch.

Comfortable, modern room. Quirky lounge, nice courtyard garden. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.

La habitación todo genial!

La zona no es muy buena, está en una plaza que hay muy mal ambiente por la noche, indigentes, drogatictos, peleas entre ellos..., no hay seguridad ninguna en la zona. Mejor no llegar de noche al hotel, porque te la juegas!!

La déco était recherchée et la literie était agréable

Pas de fenêtre donnant sur l'extérieur mais sur un mur, donc obligation d'allumer la lumière tout le temps. Gros risque à laisser la voiture dans le quartier. Parking sécurisé à 15 minutes à pied, mais nécessaire si on voulait garder la voiture entière, d'après le restaurateur où nous sommes allés souper.

L'accueil du personnel La superficie de la chambre décorée avec goût, sa luminosité et sa propreté. La salle de bain moderne et fonctionnelle. Produits Nuxe

Les environs de l'hôtel ne sont pas rassurants (de nombreux sans abri, notamment). Petit-déjeuner cher au regard des produits proposés (juste quelques rondelles d'orange comme fruit !)

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was great. The room was spacious and clean; I loved the shower and the comfortable bed. Thanks for the free bottles of water and sweets too.

Very disappointing experience — serious concerns about security and management Despite its 8.3 rating and relatively high price, our stay at Urban Yard was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. From the moment we arrived, the experience was uncomfortable. Even our taxi driver warned us that the area around Square of Aviation is considered unsafe. When we politely raised this concern at reception, the staff member was dismissive and rude, refused to give us his name, and showed no interest in addressing our concerns. The check-in process was unnecessarily difficult. We were made to wait until exactly 3 PM despite apparently having available rooms. We were also refused receipts/proof for the city tax and luggage storage. The room initially provided was not the quadruple room we had booked and had only one double bed and a sofa. The manager eventually acknowledged the mistake and changed the room, for which we appreciated his response. Unfortunately, the replacement room was in a poorly ventilated lower-level area with a strong smell of humidity. However, the most concerning issue was security. We were two guests, and we had not registered or mentioned any third person. While we were away, someone arrived at the hotel, was given a key to our room, and our existing keys were deactivated without informing us or verifying with us that this person was actually our guest. We were simply told that the person had supposedly called us while checking in. This is extremely concerning from a hotel security and privacy perspective. Anyone could potentially claim to know a guest and gain access to their room under such a procedure. Even at checkout, our simple request for a little extra time was immediately and rudely refused. As a Genius Level 3 member on Booking.com, I have stayed in many properties and have never experienced this combination of poor service, lack of professionalism and, most importantly, such a serious security concern.

La atención y las instalaciones

Everything about the hotel itself was perfect for me. Any issues I had were resolved quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful. The adaptor I brought with me did not work in the room. It is my European one and I found out in Belgium and this hotel you need one with a hole for the grounding pin. The hotel staff happily sorted an adapter for me. It was conveniently located near a metro shop and within walking distance of a lot of shops and places to eat. I was a little nervous about staying after seeing reviews about it not being safe for solo female travellers. I understand where the reviews are coming from but as a city girl I felt fine heading out late in the evening and the hotel has security so they are doing the best they can.

The system was apparently in summer mode which is why it wasn't working to heat my room. I was provided with a radiator which worked fine once I raised the issue but it is something I think needs to be checked with the season change

An older premises with a modern, contemporary styling that looks great. Everything seems quite new. Rooms spotless, tastefully decorated; ditto bathrooms. Lots of towels, good shower (decent water pressure and hot water). We were a family of four (two adults, two teenage boys [13 & 15 years]) and the sofa bed was a little bit of a pinch for the two teenagers. But it was fine for the two nights we were staying. The main bed was very comfortable. Breakfast room is nice, very bright with full-height windows to the front in what must have been an old shop, judging by the door and the windows. Breakfast was self-service and food was decent. Offered a free left-luggage facility in a locked room, accessible only by staff. Staff were lovely, helpful, spoke perfect English. Nice lounge on ground floor. Terrace at the back of the premises, which we didn't use. Walking distance from Brussels Midi (main train station) 10-12 minutes; metro station across the road, 2 minutes walk; Grand Place, 15-20 minute walk. Bolt and Dott e-scooters and bikes can be found closely.

Sorry, but the fruit salad at the breakfast bar could have been better. There were only slices of orange and pieces of pear.

I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could. Stay away from this place—they are dishonest and steal my money. Double charge When I checked in, they charged my credit card. When I checked out, they claimed the first payment did not go through and forced me to pay a second time. Because I was rushing to catch my flight, I had no choice but to pay again. They promised they would reimburse me if I checked with my bank and sent proof. Since getting home, I have sent my bank statements showing the double charge multiple times. The hotel completely ignores my messages and refuses to return my money. They lied directly to my face just to get extra money out of me. Do not trust them with your credit card, and stay far away from this hotel!

Le quartier un peu " chaud". Je ne me saurais pas senti en sécurité pour un retour à une heure tardive à l'hôtel. Prix du petit déjeuner un peu cher.

Honnêtement, pas grand-chose. L’hôtel est plutôt joli et les espaces communs sont agréables. Le quartier ne nous a finalement pas vraiment dérangés, même si nous avions vu quelques commentaires à ce sujet avant de réserver.

Nous avons malheureusement été assez déçus de notre séjour. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons trouvé le personnel peu accueillant. Nous n’avons eu aucune vraie explication concernant le petit-déjeuner, les services proposés ou même ce que l’hôtel mettait à disposition. Concernant le quartier, nous savions qu’il pouvait y avoir du bruit puisque nous avions lu les avis avant de réserver. Cela ne nous a pas particulièrement dérangés, mais malgré les fenêtres fermées, nous entendions quand même beaucoup les bruits venant de l’extérieur. La salle de bain a également été un vrai problème. Pour accéder à la douche, il fallait descendre un escalier, ce qui a été un véritable calvaire pour ma compagne. Et c’est la première fois que nous avons une douche où il n’y a absolument aucun endroit pour poser les serviettes ou même nos affaires, comme les brosses à dents. Ce sont peut-être des détails, mais mis bout à bout, cela rend le séjour beaucoup moins confortable. Nous avons vraiment eu le sentiment que l’accueil et les équipements n’étaient pas à la hauteur de ce que nous attendions.
