Cosy guest house

Location was good and not too far from town. The place is very beautiful and clean. The owners kindly left the aircon on to warm the place for us. We are from the north so it was a bit chilly for us in feilding. The shower pressure was excellent. Decor was lovely and the couch was awesome! My dad slept like a log on the fold out couch and he is in his 60s! Free wifi which is helpful since the reception in the area is a bit poor. Friendly greeting from the owners which was nice. Plenty of space to park and a nice seating area out the front door.

The hot water ran out really fast. The second person would end up having a cold shower and there was three of us. The steps to the loft are a bit steeper than they look in the picture and the loft ceiling is a little lower than I thought it would be but still manageable. I was given instructions for where to find the key which was great but I couldn't get the key in the lock so I had to leave it unlocked when we went out.

Nothing really, but for taller people it might be a bit difficult to get around the bedroom area as there isn’t much headspace

The cottage is excellent, bar one main thing which I will put in the dislikes. It is modern and well prepared. Good kitchen and excellent bathroom, shower and such like. It is private and has excellent parking and an outside deck area. Lovely surrounding gardens. Clean and tidy. The hosts are great, and helpful.

Slight traffic noise from a fairly busy rural road but all good. The bed choice is the main issue for us. The main bed is in a loft that is up some dubious, narrow stairs, with no railing (has wall handles). When you get there, there is no head room. You cannot stand up or even sit up in bed without hitting the ceiling. Kind of forces you to use the downstairs sofa bed, which is not that comfy....sofa bed. My suggestion would be to remove the sofa bed and put a conventional bed in it's place and put a small 2 seater couch on the opposite wall.

Cold when we arrived and took me a while to figure out the heat pump but after that kicked in very warm.

Fantastic area. Really nice and quiet. Some sheep right next to the house in an awesome garden. The house itself is very nicely done. Bit tight with the headroom in the bedroom, but shouldn't be a problem if you are a bit flexible. Everything looked really clean and new. Excellent choice!

Wifi was unfortunately down. Not the WiFi itself, but the outside connection. Couldn't be fixed as the host was out of town themselves, but it just gave us more reason to enjoy the great outdoors. 😉

The bed situation wouldn't suit everyone, with being a loft style. Short head room. We were fine with it though
