Rolig område. Heilt nydelig plass å være. Godt tatt vare på av familien som driver stedet. Heilt topp!! Vi var veldig fornøyde ☺️ Serverte middag, lunsj og alt det måtte være til en rimelig pris. Ordnet oss transport til både safari, til og fra sentrum når vi ville. Anbefales veldig!!

L’établissement était propre et ressemblait aux photos. Ils ont su nous conseiller sur certaines activités et préparer un safari pour nous. Je recommande.

Die kleinen Häuschen sind sehr lieb hergerichtet und sauber. Die Gastgeber waren überaus freundlich. Frühstück war super und auch das Abendessen war sehr sehr lecker! Die Familie hilft auch mit Transfer und Ausflügen, da die Unterkunft etwas außerhalb ist.

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Kumari en haar familie. We werden warm ontvangen, genoeg drinkwater op de kamer waar je gebruik van kan maken. We adviseren de nieuwe gasten om ook niet buiten de deur te eten, maar van een voortreffelijke maaltijd van Kumari te genieten. Kookcursus was super leuk en leerzaam, Safari was ook geweldig met een hele vriendelijke en kundige driver die van natuur houdt.

Si visitas Sigiriya, alojarte en el Jungle Ecolodge es una parada obligatoria y una de las experiencias más espectaculares de todo el viaje. La calidez de Kumari, su marido Nisanta y sus hijos Chathurika y Chathure nos llegó al corazón desde el primer momento. Nos cuidaron con una sonrisa permanente y nos hicieron sentir exactamente como en nuestra propia familia. La clase de cocina nocturna que hicimos con Kumari fue increíblemente divertida para disfrutar en familia, y tanto la cena como los desayunos fueron de lo mejor que hemos probado. Además, las instalaciones están prácticamente nuevas y súper bien mantenidas. Nisanta estuvo siempre dispuesto a trasladarnos a donde hiciese falta, mientras que Kumari se encargó de gestionarnos absolutamente todo desde safaris hasta traslados a precios imbatibles, mucho más rentables que la propia aplicación PickMe. Nos hemos sentido completamente en casa y nos vamos con la certeza absoluta de que volveremos. ¡Un auténtico oasis a un precio excepcional!

Jungle eco lodge is tucked away from the central street down a private dirt road so is nice and quiet over night and is also possible to see elephants on the drive in and out. Kumani and her family are such lovely hosts, so friendly, helpful and make delicious breakfasts! The room was very clean, comfy beds, spacious with a large bathroom - nothing was a problem and Kumani helped us with recommendations and also escorting us down the road in the early morning darkness when we wanted to do the sunrise hike up Pidurangula rock Thanks you for such a beautiful stay 🌺 🐘 🙏

Het prachtige gezin staat altijd voor je klaar. Ze regelen alles van vervoer tot de mooiste bezienswaardigheden. Alles wat je wil regelen zij. Het ontbijt was super geregeld en voor een ultiem vakantie gevoel ben je hier op de goede plek. Een leuk dorp met een relaxte sfeer en een heerlijk bed om in bij te komen na een drukke dag. We hadden een verjaardag te vieren waar zij een enorme bijdrage hebben geleverd door het verzorgen van versiering en taart. Geweldig verblijf.

Nos hôtes ont été incroyablement chaleureux, attentionnés et bienveillants avec nous. Ils ont également organisé notre safari, qui a été un moment magique. Nous avons eu la chance d’être accompagnés par un guide passionné, qui nous a fait vivre une expérience formidable et a largement contribué à rendre cette journée inoubliable. Merci du fond du cœur pour votre accueil, toutes vos attentions et ces merveilleux moments.

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits au Jungle Eco Lodge Safari et avons tellement apprécié notre expérience que nous y sommes retournés pour une nuit sur le chemin du retour ! Les chambres sont confortables, très propres et bien équipées. La terrasse est particulièrement agréable et permet de profiter pleinement du cadre magnifique. L’établissement est entouré d’un superbe jardin et offre une véritable bulle de tranquillité et de quiétude. Les petits-déjeuners et les repas sont copieux et excellents. Nous avons également participé au safari ainsi qu’à un cours de cuisine, deux expériences très réussies et parfaitement organisées. Tout était parfait ! La famille qui nous a accueillis est une véritable belle rencontre. Ce sont des personnes extrêmement gentilles, chaleureuses et d’une grande hospitalité. Nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis bien chez eux, comme à la maison. Nous recommandons vivement le Jungle Eco Lodge Safari pour un séjour reposant, authentique et chaleureux au cœur de la nature. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter !

Amazing stay at Jungle Eco Lodge & Safari! We booked the Family Room with Garden View and the Family Bungalow and honestly the beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve slept in. Rooms were spotless, AC nice and cold, and the whole place felt way newer than its actual age of 4 years clearly very well maintained. It’s tucked away in a quiet, remote spot but still only 2km from the main village so you’re never too far from things. Bathrooms were clean too. The host family really made the stay though, so warm and welcoming, and the breakfast and dinner they cooked for us were genuinely delicious. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near Sigiriya.

We had the most fantastic stay here. The rooms were lovely, comfortable beds and hot showers. The whole site is surrounded by plants and gardens. The family are so beautiful and took care of all our needs, from driving us to and from the village, to offering to arrange a safari. The cooking class was a highlight of our trip so far and we took away lots of learning and also ate some delicious food. We cannot thank them enough for giving us such wonderful memories! Would definitely recommend!

L'endroit est un peu éloigné de la zone touristique, c'est très calme, au milieu de la forêt et l'hôte est totalement disponible pour répondre à nos questions, le petit déjeuner est cuisiné sur place et apporté dans le gîte à l'heure, c'est top, la famille qui accueille est vraiment très sympa !

The stay here was wonderful. The family is extra kind and caring. They even drove us to and from the city, so no problem that you are not extra close to the center. It is even better, because you can relax in the beautiful jungle garden and enjoy the calm nature. And if you want adventure, the dad drives you into the city to your exploring experience. They also offer the full package, so you can book all trips and transport from there and they even have a laundry service and cooking classes. The family can tell you about Sri Lankan culture and way of life and they have two super sweet kids, that also like to help and talk or play together (if you want to). Big recommendation if you want a wonderful stay in Sigiryia and not want to stay in the crowded tourist area! :)

We had a wonderful stay in Sigiriya! The property is beautiful, clean, and very welcoming. The family who runs the place is absolutely fantastic: they are incredibly kind, helpful, and always available to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They even drove us to and picked us up from the places we wanted to visit, which was incredibly helpful. The food was also excellent. Breakfast was amazing, with so many different dishes, all fresh and delicious, and dinner was equally good. They really make you feel at home and are always happy to help with anything you need. They can also organize safaris and help you arrange activities and transportation, making your stay very easy and stress-free. We truly loved our time in Sigiriya and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Sigiriya!

Alloggiare qua é stata un’esperienza molto speciale che ha arricchito la nostra vacanza in Sri Lanka. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo sia per cena sia per colazione. Ci siamo sentiti parte della famiglia. Non c’è albergo di lusso che possa offrire più di questa struttura semplice ma immersa nel verde in mezzo alla giungla circondata da alberi di frutta di tutti i tipi.

Vom ersten Moment an fühlt man sich bei Kumari und ihrer Familie wie zuhause. Schon vor der Anreise war die Kommunikation äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir wurden von der ganzen Familie herzlich empfangen und bekamen gleich eine kurze Führung durch den schönen Garten. Die Familie ist sehr warmherzig und offen und wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Unsere Kinder haben mit Kumaris Kindern viel gespielt, und es hat sich angefühlt wie Urlaub bei Freunden. Die Bungalows sind herrlich gelegen, nur eine kurze Tuk Tuk Fahrt vom Zentrum entfernt, geräumig und absolut sauber. Kumaris Mann steht immer für eine Fahrt in den Ort oder in der Umgebung zur Verfügung, auch wenn man spezielle Wünsche hat. Die Safari mit dem hauseigenen Jeep war ein echtes Highlight, die Tour wurde spontan um ein paar Stunden verlängert, damit wir die große Elefanten Herde nicht verpassen. Der Kochkurs in der eigenen traditionellen Küche ist auch absolut zu empfehlen! Liebe Kumari, vielen Dank für den wundervollen Aufenthalt bei euch!!! Die Vermieter sind einfach wunderbar. Wir haben zwei Häuschen gemietet und durften eine davon einweihen. Die Vermieter haben eine Torte als erste Gäste gebracht und es war wirklich außergewöhnlich nett. Die Lodge liegt etwas außerhalb, aber der Vermieter fährt uns gerne in den Ort. Wir haben eine tolle Safari im hauseigenem Jeep unternommen und sehr viele Elefanten und eine tolle Landschaft genossen. Das Frühstück ist mit Liebe gemacht. Uns vieren gefällt es hier sehr gut.

Super fijn gezin, zeer gastvrij en zetten de extra stappen om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Alles was helemaal goed, van het regelen van de safari tot aan het vervoer, rondleiding in eigen TukTuk en de kookles.

I had a wonderful stay and felt incredibly comfortable from the very first moment. The whole family is warm, welcoming and always happy to help, making you feel at home right away. I originally booked two nights but ended up extending my stay by another night because I enjoyed it so much. One of the things I loved most was the peaceful location surrounded by nature. If you’re looking to escape the crowds, this is the perfect place. The town is still easy to reach, either with a pleasant walk or a short tuk-tuk ride. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. You can truly feel how much love and care has gone into creating this place. The freshly prepared food for breakfast and dinner, made with ingredients from the garden, was absolutely delicious. Kumari also offers cooking classes, which I highly recommend - they were one of the highlights of my trip to Sri Lanka so far! For me, these three days at Jungle Eco Lodge with Kumari’s family were an experience I would never want to miss. If you’re looking for a family-run place to experience the authentic side of Sri Lanka, this is the perfect choice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a wonderful stay - I truly hope we’ll meet again one day!

Kumari and Nishantha were excellent hosts. Very attentive, considerate and helpful. The guest house was comfortable, with a lovely outdoor seating area, good AC, good wifi & comfortable beds. They also had a tuk tuk & jeep so were able to easily do pick up & drop offs to the town & local sites. Their place is located a few km’s from town, which means it’s very peaceful & the walk in is straightforward & easy. Kumari also organised all our taxis around Sri Lanka for a very reasonable price. We also did the cooking lesson which was super interesting & delicious!

The bathroom was quite small and not well ventilated, which made it very hot and a little smelly at times.

Kumari and her lovely family are incredibly kind and generous hosts. They were especially helpful when our son needed to visit the medical clinic. They took us on an amazing elephant safari, helped us visit Lion Rock, drove us into town and back many times to have dinner, and solved our laundry needs. Always wiling and happy to help with a smile. Great breakfast too. Highly recommended.

Ausgesprochen nette Gastgeber, man wohnt in einem sehr schönen, eigenen Häuschen in einem gepflegten Garten. Frühstück und Abendessen schmecken ausgezeichnet und werden auf der Terrasse vor der Wohnung serviert. Abholung vom Flughafen, Weiterfahrt und Safaris werden problemlos und auch kurzfristig organisiert. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch der hauseigene Kochkurs und die Village Tour, die zu den schönsten Aussichtspunkten und Sehenswürdigkeiten rund um Sigiriya führt. (Falls man die Village Tour mit einem Besuch des Herbal Gardens kombiniert, sollte man wissen, dass dort schon erwartet wird, dass auch Produkte gekauft werden). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Beautiful garden with coconut and mango trees. The food was fantastic, all cooked by our host. She even gave us cooking lessons and the food was so incredible (just make sure you’re hungry because there’s a lot of it). Room was lovely, enjoyed sitting out on the deck reading our books. Family who run the place are so kind and helpful, organising a lot for us including all of our transport. Will be coming back. Have already recommended to friends.

The hosts were incredibly kind and always ready to help, which made my stay feel very warm and welcoming. The room was comfortable and well kept, and the food was absolutely delicious. You can really feel the care they put into everything. Highly recommended.

A beautiful jungle oasis, I could immediately see why it was reviewed so highly! Rooms are spacious, bed is large and comfortable. Hot water shower with good pressure (although you don't really need it). Air conditioner worked a treat. Stocked with lots of water, cold beers and soft drinks ready in the fridge. The food (breakfast and dinner) was fantastic. Lots of animals around, they have 2 dogs and a kitten on the property as well as a myriad of birds, squirrels, lizards, monkeys, etc. Place to park. The outdoor seating area is absolutely gorgeous... but the best part is Kumari who runs the lodges, she's so lovely and accommodating and showed world-class hospitality. I did a cooking class with her as well and learned so much about Sri Lankan culture. Book this place! You won't regret it!

We had a really great stay with Kumari and her family at the eco lodge. She helped us with every question and with planning activies and was always so kind and helpful! You have to take a short drive to reach the accomondation from sigiriya, but we would do it again every time because it was so calm, quiet and relaxing there and you are still close to the more touristic part of sigiriya. We loved the breakfast - Kumari even veganised it for us and it was great! We also recommend to eat for dinner at hers, the coconut roti and vegetable kotthu were sooo good! We planned to stay two nights but prolonged for a third one because we liked it so much:)

Kumari was an amazing host, the food was incredible and she was so welcoming, as was her family, it’s a slice of paradise that you won’t regret visiting. You are outside of Sigiriya but it’s not a problem and Kumari can help to sort out Tuktuks to go visit sites or the centre.

Kumari and her family gave us the most wonderful warm welcome on arrival. Such a joy to meet her family. Delicious juice on arrival and amazing breakfast each morning. The Jungle lodge is so peaceful and tranquil at the end of a busy day touring. The lush gardens are immaculate and full of wildlife to view from your comfortable decking. We experienced Kumari’s fascinating Cooking Demonstration and so enjoyed the amazingly delicious end result! Kumari is such a talented cook explaining her methods so patiently and handed down through the generations. Thoroughly recommend! Other dishes are delicious too. The room is so comfortable and clean. Such a peaceful nights sleep in the jungle.

Very kind and helpful owner and family. The food we had here for breakfast and dinner was incredible. The lodge is located on a quiet road, but very near the Sigiriya hotspots like Lion’s rock. Would definitely come back again!

Kumštu je vynikající hostitelka. Misto je trochu odlehlé od hlavního turistického ruchu města, ale to nám vyhovovalo.. přijeli jsme až večer a trochu jsme měli strach o jidlo. Zeptali jsme se Kumaru, zda by bylo možno zajistit nějaké jidlo a ta nám velmi ochotně uvařila fantastickou večeři z domácích surovin z vlastní zahrady. Druhý večer nám opět připravila vynikající večeři, včetně vařených banánů kokosového kari, čočkového kati, kuřecího kari. Snídaně byly také vynikající a pro Evropana neznámé jídla. Určitě požádejte o kávu, která je z vlastní zahrady, nebo od maminky ze zahrady a fantasticky mango juice čerstvé vymačkaný z vlastního ovoce. Pokud chcete domácí jidlo, skvělou péči a klidné místo mimo ruch turistů, neni lepší volba. Kumaru nám ukázala i vlastní zahradu, kde pěstuje banány, mango, kávu, pepř, papáju, kokosy a další veci. Moc dekujeme Kumaru, bylo to skvěle.

Op een mooie rustige plek in de jungle, maar nog wel op bereisbare afstand van het dorpje.

Tout était bien. la chambre suffisamment grande et agréable. Les petits déjeuners sont trés bon et copieux. Nous avons pris un court de cuisine, c'était authentique et super bon. Notre hote était trés sympathique et serviable, nous avons adorés.

L’accueil était incroyable la dame est ses enfants sont adorables un plaisir. Elle a tout mis en œuvre pour qu’on passe un merveilleux moment . Super cadre ,très propre,très bonne literie. Gros plus mise à disposition de boissons et petit frigo dans la chambre un gros plus vue les chaleurs. Super cuisinière les repas étaient délicieux et te copieux merci encore pour ce moment

All the amazing reviews are absolutely spot on - Kumari and her family have made a lovely garden oasis with super guest accommodation in comfortable lodges with their own verandas for relaxing outside and for meals. Kumari is an excellent cook, we thoroughly enjoyed all our breakfasts and dinners which were varied, interesting, and delightful. And yes, if you can, take the opportunity for a cookery class - not only is the end result delicious, you’ll get to see Kumari in action, and join in, in her fascinating kitchen, cooking over wood and coconut shells, seeing thick and thin coconut milks getting freshly made, and appreciating the differences in flavour and appearance by using her darker roasted curry spices versus her lighter mix. I picked up so many useful tips and the whole class was great fun from start to finish as we used traditional methods to remove surface dust from her family’s home grown rice, an amazing stool with a scraper attached to sit astride for rapid coconut grating, and even tried her impressive fixed blade cutter which she used deftly for all sorts of cutting and chopping. But it’s also the kindness and friendliness that Kumari and her family show all her guests. You can absolutely tell that it is important to them that you have a lovely time during your stay, and Kumari is astonishing, providing helpful local advice, and making any arrangements for a jeep safari, or a taxi or tuk tuk journey, with her customary quiet efficiency and beautiful smile. Thank you so, so much.

Very friendly hosts, clean and spacious room. Water provided (you need to pay a little bit afterwards but very fair price). Tasty and big breakfast. Also cooked dinner for us when we arrived because it was late. Basically in the jungle so you see monkeys and some other little animals right by your doorstep.

Not really close to the center of sigiriya (30min walk), also our driver was a little bit scared because of elephants in the night.

Ein wunderschöner Ort. Die Lage ist traumhaft, ruhig und dennoch nah an den Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Sigiriya Rock und Pidurangala. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren köstlich, frisch zubereitet und mit viel Liebe serviert. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Besitzerin, die unglaublich herzlich, zuvorkommend und gastfreundlich ist. Vom ersten Moment an fühlt man sich wie zu Hause. Weitere Pluspunkte sind: Man kann einen Kochkurs machen, um die sri lankische Küche kennenzulernen, und hat die Möglichkeit, direkt einen Roller zu mieten. Perfekt, um die Umgebung flexibel zu erkunden. Unser Aufenthalt hier war ein wundervolles Erlebnis, eine perfekte Mischung aus Natur, Ruhe und Herzlichkeit. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die Sigiriya besuchen.

La proprietà si trova in una zona molto tranquilla, perfetta per rilassarsi. La famiglia è molto carina, disponibile per soddisfare ogni richiesta. Camera pulita, lenzuola pulite e profumate e asciugamani bianchi, puliti e molto morbidi. Accoglienza bellissima, ci siamo sentiti a casa e a nostro agio. Il figlio più grande, ci ha mostrato le piante che hanno in giardino e fatto assaggiare la frutta dagli alberi. Una bella esperienza. Parlano molto bene inglese. Cena strepitosa, la migliore delle nostre 2 settimane in tour per lo Sri Lanka. Disponibile per consigli e suggerimenti per le attrattive della zona: cosa visitare ed escursioni, safari. Consiglio a tutti questa struttura. Peccato aver trascorso solo una notte! Acqua calda sempre disponibile.

Die Jungle Eco Lodge war die beste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise durch Sri Lanka! Die Hütte ist total niedlich und das gesamte Grundstück ist total schön. Kumari ist die beste Gastgeberin mit dem besten Frühstück und Abendessen, wenn man wünscht. Außerdem ist sie super hilfsbereit und hat für uns z. B. eine Safari organisiert. Unseren Aufenthalt in der Ecolodge haben wir sehr genossen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und von Beginn bis Ende hat sich die Gastfamilie liebevoll um uns gekümmert, Fahrten organisiert und für uns eine tolle Safari arrangiert. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück lohnt sich sehr in der Unterkunft auf der schönen Terasse einzunehmen, es ist mit viel Liebe gekocht, typisch srilankisch und sehr lecker! Unser Zimmer war sehr groß mit Aircondition, warmen Wasser und schöner Terasse mit toller, bunter Abendbeleuchtung. Für alle die etwas abseits des Touristentrubels unterkommen und es ruhiger möchten, ist diese Unterkunft genau das richtige. Wärmstens zu empfehlen, wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Alles was perfect! Kumari en haar familie zijn de beste. Niks is hen te veel gevraagd. De kinderen zijn fantastisch en heel lief. Ik raad zeker de kookles aan, super ervaring. Nog nooit zo'n goed verblijf gehad. Ik raad het iedereen aan. Het zou spijtig zijn, moest je dit verblijf niet boeken. 🫶🏼

Komaru es encantadora. Ella y su familia nos hicieron sentir como en casa, nos propusieron todo tipo de ayuda y de actividades. Nos hizo una cena maravillosa y su marido un tour para conocer sitios escondidos en Sigiriya y sin duda, es el mejor sitio en el que nos podríamos haber quedado Las habitaciones son 10/10 y la limpieza igual. Eso sí, me gustaría advertir que es un alojamiento pensado para quienes no pretenden volver a casa más tarde de las 8-9 de la noche por qué al estar en plena naturaleza/jungla puedes encontrar elegantes de camino aquí e igual llevarte un pequeño susto (aunque no tiene por qué pasarte nada) ella te explica en todo momento cómo actuar si sucede y está muy atenta de tu regreso incluso se ofrecen a ir a por ti, el pueblo está a 5 minutos. Y es super bonito. Vistas a un lago y a Lions Rock que merecen la pena.

Schön gelegen und unglaublich nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Für alles war gesorgt und bei der Organisation von Aktivitäten wurde auch geholfen und sich um alles gekümmert.

Magnifique logement tenu par une très belle famille. Le logement est un peu en retrait de la ville mais l’accès se fait facilement grâce aux Tuktuk qu’ils proposent à des prix hyper attractifs. Très bon petit déjeuner dans un magnifique endroit. Je recommande !

La familia fue super amable, con un trato muy cercano y familar. Dos de las noches estuvimos jugando a cartas con los niños. También nos ayudaron para contratar el safari y nos alquilaron una moto que tenían. Los desayunos estuvieron buenos y fueron muy abundantes. Las cenas, de comida tradicional, también estaban buenas.

Està a 15 minutos en moto o tuk tuk de sigiriya y debes volver antes de que se vaya la luz ya que ir por ese camino de noche es peligroso debido a que se puede cruzar algun elefante. Esto limita un poco los trayectos o poder cenar en el centro de sigirya

Wir durften zwei Nächte in dieser kleinen Dschungellodge verbringen und sind voller Dankbarkeit für die schöne Zeit. Unsere Kinder waren fasziniert von der Natur und haben die herzliche Gastfreundschaft der Familie sehr genossen. Besonders die liebevoll zubereiteten Mahlzeiten und die aufmerksame Organisation der Besitzer haben unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Diese besonderen Momente werden uns lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Lodge von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für alles!

Der Name Jungle Eco Lodge war hier wirklich geboten! Genau die Abgeschiedenheit fern vom Trubel konnten wir hier genießen! Wir hatten auch noch nie ein so sauberes Zimmer (bzw. Cottage). Die Hosts sind so herzlich. Sie bekochten, chauffierten uns und organisierten uns alles was nötig war, um uns einen unvergessenen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen! Für die Wanderung und Fahrt packten sie uns die Reste von dem üppigen Frühstück ein und holten noch frisches Obst aus dem Garten! Ihre Hunde Dobby und Kalu, sind sehr schüchtern aber mit ein paar Leckerlis konnten wir auch ihr treues Herz erobern. Wir würden jedes Mal wieder kommen!

Ein wunderschönes Bungalow, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Super Dusche, tolle Betten und Wlan war aussergewönlich gut. Das Haus liegt sehr schön im Grünen und es hat eine gemütliche Terrasse zum Verweilen. Die Gastgeber sind nicht zu topen, unglaublich bemüht und herzlich. Sie erfüllen absolut jeden Wunsch und man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und absolut zu empfehlen.

Keine Kritik an die Unterkunft, nur eine Bemerkung, die jemandem ggf. hilfreich ist: Die Lodge ist etwas abgelegen. Zu Fuss sind es rund 30 Minuten nach Sigiriya und auf der Strecke soweit nichts anzutreffen. Die Lodge ist in einem kleinen Dorf, wo ständig was los ist. Relativ viele Hunde die sich ständig rauffen, der Nachbar hört abends gerne (laut) Musik und im Guesthouse selber ist auch immer was los. Wer gerne und viel Zeit im Bungalow verbringt und Ruhe sucht, sollte dies vorher zur Kenntnis nehmen.

Hemos pasado 3 noches maravillosas aquí y desde el primer día nos hemos sentido como en casa. Toda la familia fue increíblemente amable y siempre atenta, ayudándonos con consejos, organización de actividades y transporte. La habitación es amplia, muy limpia y con un baño perfecto. Uno de los mayores placeres fue disfrutar del porche, un lugar ideal para relajarse mientras desayunábamos o comíamos. La comida casera tradicional de Sri Lanka, preparada personalmente por la anfitriona, fue espectacular: es una gran cocinera y le agradecemos muchísimo el cariño con el que cocina, porque cada plato fue delicioso y auténtico. Queremos agradecer especialmente a su marido, que fue muy servicial y amable al llevarnos en su tuk tuk y organizar para nosotros un tour por Sigiriya. Fue una experiencia fantástica y muy cómoda gracias a él. No podemos estar más agradecidos por la hospitalidad y el cuidado que recibimos. Recomendamos este lugar al 100%, es la opción perfecta para disfrutar de la verdadera hospitalidad de Sri Lanka.

Ci siamo sentiti veramente a casa! La famiglia è semplicemente meravigliosa e gentilissima. Hanno soddisfatto ogni nostra bizzarra idea! Ci hanno organizzato ogni spostamento, l'escursione a Polannaruwa e il safari! Il posto è incantevole, immerso nella natura, l'alloggio molto bello. La cucina ottima! Si merita il 10 e lode! La splendida famiglia vale il viaggio!!!

We had an unforgettable stay at Jungle Eco Lodge, and it has truly been the highlight of our trip so far. We were welcomed with so much kindness by this lovely family, who made us feel at home from the very first moment. The lodge itself is impeccable – very clean, beautifully decorated, and located in a peaceful area away from the city. Our host kindly offered free tuk-tuk to show us the town. Thanks to his arrangements, we were also able to enjoy a safari at a very reasonable price, where we had the incredible chance to see elephants! On his recommendation, we also visited the famous Lion Rock, which was an amazing experience. One of the most special moments was a two-hour cooking class with the family, in their own kitchen. They welcomed us with open arms, using fresh ingredients from their garden, and taught us how to prepare traditional Sri Lankan dishes. It was a truly heartwarming and authentic experience. The whole family is always smiling, warm, and generous. We wholeheartedly recommend Jungle Eco Lodge 1000%! If you are looking for a place to stay in Sigiriya, don’t hesitate for a second. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the hospitality is simply unmatched.

Die Familie und die Kinder sind unfassbar lieb und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich pudelwohl und der kleine Bungalow ist auch perfekt. Die Lage ist etwas abseits des Tourismustrubels, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Wenn man etwas braucht, kann man sich jederzeit an die Familie wenden und sie können mit allem weiterhelfen. Und das Abendessen ist ein Traum! Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben. Es wird definitiv ein Highlight unserer Reise sein und wir werden diese liebe Familie in Erinnerung behalten. De vriendelijke bediening en de unieke locatie.

Wir können einen Aufenthalt bei Kumari sehr empfehlen. Das kleine Haus ist schön ruhig gelegen, aber mit dem TukTuk ist man in ein paar Minuten an allen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung. Wir haben viel über das Leben in Sri Lanka erfahren. Kumari gibt einem viele Ideen und organisiert alles, dabei handelt sie immer den besten Preis aus. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das Frühstück und das Abendessen. Es ist außergewöhnlich gut und sehr abwechslungsreich, Kumari nimmt sich auch die Zeit, jede Speise genau zu erklären. Bei einer Sri Lanka Reise sollte man einen Aufenthalt bei Kumari nicht verpassen!

After somewhat difficult arrival because of the night rain and small car we had :-) we were kindly welcomed by our nice host Kumari, with whom we had an really interesting evening conversations during our stay. The room is nice and equipped. The breakfast was very good, freshly prepared, with local specialities. Located in a small settlement inside the jungle, one can really enjoy the nature around - and visit Sigiriya and surroundings.

The place was peaceful and calm, the hospitality was warm and true, the food was delicious , the host was so helpful and gave true advices , the room was clean

Cute and calm stay in a tropical garden of Kumari and her family, who have all been great hosts. Kumari shared a lot of local tips (with good English!), cooked amazing local breakfasts and dinner for very fair prices, arranged a local village tour, a scooter and driver to our next destination. The accommodation is clean and has a huge bed, A/C, a shower, and a batch of water bottles. Driving there is not an issue, but beware that the road is closed after 10 PM. Thank you and we'll definitely stay here again if we're in the area :)

The family was very friendly. They organised our dinner, a safari and a tour of local shops. Very recommended! Best stay and breakfast so far!!

An unforgettable place run by amazing hosts who truly put their heart into everything they do. The food – made with fresh ingredients from their own organic garden – was absolutely delicious, a perfect blend of flavors. Be sure to try their dinner, it’s a must! They also helped us arrange a safari trip where we had the chance to see many elephants. This place has a soul – it was hard to say goodbye. We also learned a lot about the local culture and history. Highly recommended!

Everything’s was perfect, Kumari puts her whole heart in making your stay perfect. We ended up extending our stay because we enjoyed it so much! Make sure you try some of her cooking for the dinner as it’s better than many restaurants we’ve tried. Also, she will help you organize anything from a local tuk tuk, Safari to a taxi ride further away! Thanks so much for having us!
