The property is in a very quiet location and it’s immersed in nature. There’s an electric fence around it to stop elephants getting into the garden - so that was exciting. We didn’t see an elephant but there were monkeys in the trees in front by the road and I saw a large lizard in the garden. It was also nice to use the owner’s bikes. Thank you for that

We had a lot of cockroaches in our room and I didn’t feel that the property owner took our concern seriously enough. He said he’d cleaned the room but on the second night when a giant cockroach got into my beer glass which was next to the bed, I was completely freaked out.. We were given another room, but Even then, the owner sent his sister round to help us lug the heavy bags up the stairs to the new room at night. This is the reason for my rating. The owner did not give us the care I expected

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is great, very close to Lion Rock, and the chalets are beautiful, comfortable, and very relaxing. Amila He is amazing, incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything you need. He really makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Highly recommended!

Un hôtel vraiment charmant ! Les cabanes perchées en hauteur donnent un petit côté aventurier et rendent l’expérience très originale. On profite d’une jolie vue sur le rocher du Lion, tout en étant entourés par les bruits de la nature et des animaux. L’accueil était parfait, le petit déjeuner excellent, et tout était réuni pour passer un très agréable séjour. Rien à redire ! Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel.

Chena Huts is een fijne accommodatie voor een paar dagen Sigirya. De eigenaar Amilia is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is afwisselend en uitgebreid. De familie hutten hebben airco wat heel fijn is. Het ligt 10-15 mins lopen van de drukke straat met restaurantjes. Overdag prima maar ‘s avonds heb je wel een tuktuk nodig ivm eventuele olifanten. Voor 500 roepie en 3 mins rijden ben je er alsnog.

Chena Huts was a great choice for my stay in Sigiriya. The hut was clean and comfortable with a nice quiet atmosphere. The location was an easy and flat bike ride to the local restaurants and a quick tuk tuk to the local attractions. The host was very friendly and helped me with the organisation of everything during my stay, which was great. It's perfect for anyone looking for a relaxed stay but not far from everything.

Amilia, onze gastheer was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hij regelde iedere ochtend een heerlijk ontbijtje en vroeg wat we wilde hebben. Sri Lanka style, Westers of gemixt. Er was eten in overvloed. Ook via Whatsapp was hij goed bereikbaar en regelde hij tuktuks en de was service. Hij stond altijd voor ons klaar.

The chalets are a nature paradise with monkeys swinging in the trees around our tree house chalets. The breakfast was delicious Sri Lankan classics! Our host Amila was the most amazing host!! He sorted everything out for us with the best prices we could find. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay in sigiriya. And the rest of the staff are all lovely too! 10/10 would stay again <3

Gemütliches kleines Resort etwas ausserhalb des "Zentrums" von Sigiriya (ca 10 Min zu Fuss) mit direktem Blick auf den Lions Rock. Die Hütten sind geräumig und verfügen über alles was man braucht. Der Besitzer war sehr zuvorkommend und hat sich die ganze Zeit perfekt um uns gekümmert. Da wir etwas spät angekommen sind, ist er zu einem Restaurant gefahren, um Abendessen für uns holen zu gehen. Auch das Frühstück war super und abwechslungsreich (je nach Wunsch mal Continental, mal Sri Lankanisch).

Found very big cockroaches in my bathroom twice and a smaller one on my bed. I love the animals (like I love the squirrels, birds and the frog in the shower once) but thumb-sized cockroaches are too much.

The place quietness and the staff was among the most wonderful features someone can ask for a property like this in the middle of the nature. The best part was the chalet itself. Just amazing

There's no a/c but that made the experience even more authentic. Perfect for someone who want to be in real touch with the surronding nature

I had an amazing stay at Chena Huts Eco Resort in Sigiriya. The owner was one of the kindest and most helpful people I met during my trip to Sri Lanka. He always checked on me, helped organize activities, planned everything perfectly, and made sure I enjoyed the city to the fullest. He even helped with my laundry and was always available whenever I needed anything. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and made with so much care. Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality and kindness. You truly made my stay special, and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sigiriya!

We kwamen aan in een groene jugel omgeving met de prachtige boomhut.in een prachtige tuin. Mooi ingericht en een fijne douche.het eten was heerlijk dat maken ze zelf.ook het ontbijt was lekker. Je hoef de eigenaar maar iets te vragen of hij regeld het.wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad. Tussen de apen hagedissen en vogels.in een woord geweldig.

Niets alles is perfect geregeld.

De rustige ligging, midden in de natuur. Mooie kamers, lekker eten, goede service. Wij zijn met een bootje de lagune overgestoken vanuit Kalpitiya en dan was het maar een kwartiertje rijden of zo.

La nature environnante est très jolie et c’est super de pouvoir observer les écureuils et oiseaux d’autant proche. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et serviables !

Pas assez de rangements à disposition (des crochets ou une 2ème étagère pour sac par exemple) et certaines fenêtres n’ont pas de rideau ce qui laisse entrer beaucoup de lumière le matin.

Das hat Spaß gemacht! Das Team ist total lieb. Die Cabanas sind recht neu, schön und sauber mit Aussicht auf den Lions Peak. Frühstück sehr lecker. Lasst euch für Ausflüge dort beraten. Morgens stehen die Pfauen unten. Lage ist klasse. Immer gern wieder!!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Man ist in der Natur und kann die Ruhe genießen. Unser Host Amila war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns immer geholfen Tuktuks und Taxis zu organisieren. Das sri-lankische Frühstück war sehr lecker und wir können auch die Cooking Class von Pola (200 m entfernt) sehr empfehlen!

Super Lage, etwas abgelegen, ruhig und sehr naturnah. Eine herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Sehr leckeres, abwechselndes, authentisches Frühstück. Es wurde sich super um alle Belangen gekümmert ( Transfer, Laundry etc. ). Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

I had a wonderful stay with my family at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The host was very friendly and responsive, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. She was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and always available when needed. Check-in was easy, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect and convenient. We truly felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant experience.

We had Chalet 3, where we had free view to Lion Rock. The breakfast was sooo authentic and delicious! The host is very friendly and helpful! He arranged us a safari, several drivers and answered to all of our questions very quickly.

The view was amazing, it was super comfortable. You even had warm water and the bed was comfortable as well. The staff was very nice and friendly and we had a nice breakfast.

El lugar está emplazado en un lugar marvilloso.Las cabañas sobre los árboles son una maravilla y convierten la experiencia en un cuento de otro tiempo. Literalmente te sientes conectado con la naturaleza,combinando la n entorno mágico lleno de vida y pureza,limpieza, trato inmejorable,tranquilidad,sonidos de pájaros, visitas a tu terraza de amables ardillas y si tienes suerte podrás ver algún elefante a lo lejos, desde la seguridad y tranquilidad que te da estar en altura. Pero de entre todos los factores que convierten a este lugar en un espacio donde desearías quedarte a vivir para siempre destacar al personal y especialmente al dueño Amila, quien representa la esencia del Cingalés, esto es: Bondad, honradez, inteligencia, amabilidad y servicialidad. Todo son facilidades con él, ya que incluso nos consiguió un guía inmejorable para realizar un Safari por Kaudullu y ver elefantes en libertad. Además nos explicó muchisimas cosas sobre historia, política, religión y cultura del país y nos dió excelentes consejos sobre donde realizar compras, lugares a visitar, mejores comunicaciones para movernos en el Tuk Tuk y sobre todo los mejores restaurantes de la zona.

Tener que marcharnos. Nos hubiéramos quedado a vivir allí.

Es sind wirklich wunderschöne Hütten, die Besitzer beraten sehr gut, das Frühstück war toll.

Alle Angebote zu Aktivitäten z.B. Tuk Tuk, Safari, usw sind teurer als wenn man sich selbst darum kümmert

Vraiment superbe ! Dépaysement total, chambre super propre, personnels aux petits soins, petit déjeuner très complet (jus de fruits frais) nous recommandons à 100%. Ne vous étonnez pas il n’y a pas de piscine car les éléphants peuvent venir faire un petit tour la nuit…

Geweldig verblijf. De boomhut is prachtig. Het ligt iets buiten het centrum, maar het is prima bereikbaar met een tuktuk of pickme. De host kan ook dingen voor je regelen op een eerlijke manier. De boomhut heeft de basic faciliteiten en is heerlijk om ook uit te rusten.

Punizione scadente; bagno quasi inutilizzabile (wc chimico e doccia gelata). Colazione discreta. Non raggiungibile a piedi dalla zona ristorante per la sera, è necessario prendere un tuk tuk.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti presso questa struttura immersa nella natura. La stanza è ampia e pulita e il personale è veramente disponibile a fornire tutti i consigli sul luogo. Con loro abbiamo organizzato una bellissima escursione a minneriya a buon prezzo. Consiglio a chiunque

Stanza favolosa, così come i gestori. Una piccola oasi di tranquillità nel verde. Ottima ed abbondante colazione. Da starci più di una notte per godere del relax delle camere con balcone con vista sulla Lion’s rock

Ambiente molto curato, tree house pulita e dotata di tutto il necessario, proprietaria gentilissima. Vicina a pochi passi dalla zona dei localini. Abbiamo visto un sacco di animali: iguane, scoiattolini, lucertole, i miei figli entusiasti.

Un po’ caldo durante il giorno in assenza di aria condizionata

Ruhig aber nicht zu abgelegen. Wir hatten das Gefühl im Jungle zu sein, jedoch war die Hauptmeile und das Touristenzentrum mit vielen tollen Lokalen nicht weit weg (15 Min. Fußweg). Wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf den Lion Rock. Insgesamt haben wir uns wohlgefühlt.

Wir hatten jeden Vormittag Stromausfall / -Abschaltung und an einem Nachmittag kurzzeitig kein fließendes Wasser. Für Nachfragen oder das Bitten um fließendes Wasser war kein Personal an der Rezeption bzw. auf dem Gelände. Eine Gärtnerin konnte uns nicht wirklich weiterhelfen, weil sie kein Wort Englich verstand. Keine Klimaanlage vorhanden. Große Ritzen in der Wand lassen die Tierwelt eintreten, also keine Scheu vor Kackerlacken.

It's a little paradise, with cozy and spacious stilt houses overlooking Sigiriya, which can be glimpsed in the distance from the balcony, which also has chairs for relaxing. The houses have a private bathroom, a boiler with tea, and bottled water is also provided in the rooms. There are mosquito nets on the beds. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. The host is very welcoming, available for any requests, and always smiling and affable.

The property is a bit isolated and far from the restaurants that are concentrated in the area closer to the lake and Sigiroya. However, it's a 10-minute walk away (but only during daylight hours). A tuk-tuk service is available for the return journey after dark.

Fantastic location and place Only 4 treehouses really spacious and we were the only ones there using 2 treehouses Staff was so friendly and helpful and amila helped us with advice and getting laundry done We ate one evening meal there and its was amazing home cooked srilankan food really good mango curry ! C'est un havre de paix où on se fait réveiller par des oiseaux, entouré de nature et de pleins d'animaux (y'a même un singe qui est venu sur mon balcon) c'est très confortable et pour le prix c'est Incroyable, Amila et sa femme les proprios sont adorables j'ai passé beaucoup de temps à discuter avec eux et c'était génial, leur bouffe aussi été Incroyable et les portions hyper généreuses, j'ai découvert le kottu au poisson là-bas et j'en ai repris le lendemain. Petit plus, à 500m il y'a un hôtel où on peut y passer la journée sur le bord de la piscine pour environ 4e.. Faut savoir que l'hébergement est un peu éloigné du centre ville (et tant mieux) mais ça n'a pas été dérangeant, on mange sur place, on va se rafraîchir à la piscine à côté et dès qu'on a besoin d'un tuktuk ou d'une excursion Amila s'occupe de tout, bref j'ai vraiment eu du mal à quitté cet endroit magnifique. Il y'a aussi un moustiquaire sur le lit et un ventilo.

We had a fantastic stay at Chena Huts! The rooms were clean, beautifully designed, and perfectly nestled in nature. From the breakfast area, you can enjoy a peaceful view of the surrounding greenery – a great way to start the day. Our host, Amila, made our experience truly special. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, organizing all the activities we wanted to do in the area. Whether it’s safaris, local tours, or cultural visits – he knows the right people and takes care of everything. If you’re lucky and he has time, he might even personally drive you to your next destination. In our case, he took us to Polonnaruwa and gave us a small private tour on the way – a real highlight! One of the mornings, we were surprised with a special breakfast that wasn’t even on the plan – a lovely gesture that made us feel right at home. You can really tell that a lot of care and thought goes into hosting here. Out of all the places we stayed during our trip, this was one of the most beautiful and relaxing. We felt safe, welcomed, and completely at ease. A special shoutout goes to the Tuk Tuk tour to the viewpoints with Chathu – it was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Sri Lanka. Riding through the countryside in a Tuk Tuk, discovering hidden spots and scenic views, was simply magical. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic, and warm place to stay – this is it. Highly recommended!

Avevamo prenotato lo chalet deluxe e, una volta giunti in struttura, abbiamo dovuto cambiare stanza con una inferiore a causa della presenza di un nido di scoiattoli. Inoltre, non è molto vicino centro di Sigiriya.

Nothing to complain about. It was really perfect and felt at home , Amila thanks for your kindness and your service , it was really exceptional. Please don’t hesitate to visit him. I will do it again.
