Sunny Brae Manor

The Manor house is absolutely stunning. The beds and pillows are very comfortable with quality linen. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the birds.

My wife is fond of plants, hence she loved this property alot. Everything about this property is perfectly fine. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Beautiful location. Luxurious touches and decor including plants, flowers, candles, books, and detail in remembrance of the historical time period of the manor house and its owners. Walking distance to beach and town. Friendly helpful staff. Generous breakfast items and snacks, including coffee. I was given the option to choose an even more spacious en suite room upon arrival.

The room i paid for was mis- sold as having a balcony or a patio. It had neither, we stayed for 5 nights and not once did the owner come and greet me or my wife, after telling my wife she would do so on the Saturday. She was a no show ....very poor!!!.One of the staff said we must pay her to service the room.....VERY VERY BAD to have people working in any place with an attitude like this ,i was shocked to hear her response. We were moved to a room with a balcony for the final 2 nights.I would Not stay hear again ,i think the owner is more interested in her Flowers.

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime stay. A beautifully restored old farmhouse, each room is completely unique and filled with character, creativity, and thoughtful detail. The setting is peaceful and serene, easily one of the most calming places we’ve experienced. We originally booked for one night and ended up extending our stay just to experience it a little longer. The location is ideal, close to the waterfront, with a grocery shop next door and easy access to the highway, yet it feels completely removed from the rush. Linda is an exceptional host, warm, ethereal, creative and incredibly accommodating. Her garden is stunning, and the space is shared with her majestic cat and two lovely dogs, which adds to the charm. The rooms are intimate, each with its own little patio, and there’s a communal kitchen that feels homely and inviting. Some rooms have private bathrooms, others share, but everything is beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. What stood out most were the details, fresh flowers in every room, eucalyptus in the showers that filled the air with the most incredible scent, and care in every corner. We booked just two hours before arriving, yet everything was perfectly prepared. I cannot recommend this place enough and would return without hesitation. We came for a night but ended up extending our stay just to spend another evening here!

Dans la cuisine les boissons non alcoolisées sont à disposition gratuitement ainsi que des biscuits et des céréales pour le petit déjeuner .

Les fourmis dans la cuisine, mais tout est conservé dans des boîtes hermétiques.

Great old house which has been lovingly restored to great accommodation. We'll situated near some good restaurants.

Cooking smells from the communal kitchen. Someone was cooking affal and pap which ponged the place out.

Sunny Brae Manor is a hidden gem! The host is a consummate professional, friendly and always willing to assist. I booked it based on the reviews and I must concur, it is superb! The rooms are phenomenal, big and clean with plenty of light. It's an easy walk to the beach and the grounds are immaculate. It's better than most hotels. Such a gorgeous property!!

A beautiful old house with wooden floors and a touch of class. We enjoyed relaxing on the stoop outside our room, with a stunning view of the mountains and trees. It was very quiet and peaceful. The location was convenient, just a short drive to Mossel Bay, Hartenbos, and George. The airport was only about 20 minutes from the guesthouse. Thank you, Linda, for a peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable stay! We look forward to seeing you again.

Fantastic. Host was very friendly. Accommodation is very cosy and the facilities and setup is warm and welcoming.

Access road to the property can be upgraded as it is uneven and gravel and not suitable for sedan cars but SUV's and other vehicles will not have a problem

The guest house was Superb. Very beautiful place. It was clean. All the extras that we got at no extra price, like the cereal, juices, water, fruit and we were upgraded to a bigger room without extra cost. Linda, thank you very much. Huge room with own spacious balcony (with view) and en-suite with toilet & sink. We didn’t expect breakfast, but yogurt and fresh fruits (and a nice coffee machine) were available which we appreciated a lot.

Pay attention to the gate when driving up, it closes automatically

Linda was such a wonderful host. She really made us feel so welcome. The small touches and attention to detail that she puts into the place make this a super place to stay. The fresh flowers in every room and the crispy cleanliness are really what sets, this, place apart. We'll definitely book in here again in the future

A beautifully renovated building. Loved the ranunculas in abundance. Comfy and so affordable. Appreciated the drinks ans rusks in the communal kitchen. Bonus seeing 3 Kynsna loeries! Lovely overnight. Would have loved to have enjoyed the gorgeous balcony but the cars weather didn't play along with that!

Not a complaint, just check if your room is ensuite or with shared bathroom.

Sunny Brae Manor was all we expected and more!! We found it to be luxurious with some lovely extras like the dessert wine in the room on a cold winter's night! We received a warm welcome and were also treated to a lovely surprise upgrade of our room on arrival! Everything was neat and clean with lovely finishing touches. If you enjoy wandering around a garden, Sunny Brae has this to offer, too. All information, not only about Sunny Brae, but also the area was shared in a detailed document. I will highly recommend Sunny Brae!

I had an absolute wonderful time staying at Sunny Brae. It is absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated! It felt like a home away from home - with that extra touch of finesse! The finishing touches in the rooms were delightful and you can really feel the love poured into ensuring a memorable stay for all who pass through. Linda is so wonderful & kind!
