Goyambokka Peacock Guest

Malheureusement nous sommes en litige avec cet établissement : nous devions séjourner 2 nuits et à 11 heures du matin, la propriétaire nous a écrit, sur WhatsApp et Booking, trouver une autre chambre car elle n'était pas en capacité de nous accueillir en raison du décès de sa grand-mère. Nous lui avons demandé d'annuler de son côté, silence radio. Nous avons contacté Booking qui nous ont répondu que la propriétaire leur avait dit que nous ne nous étions jamais présentés. Nous avons alors redemandé à la propriétaire, par message, pourquoi avoir dit cela, elle n'a jamais répondu. Je trouve cela malhonnête.

We booked the place for the amazing location, which did not disappoint! Only four minute walk to a lovely beach. We also really wanted airconditioning, which worked like a charm. It was nice to have your own little ‘house’. And the owners are very helpful, thoughtful and kind. With the problems we had, they wanted to go above and beyond to fix it. Even got an ice cream one time :-).

Unfortunately the stay overall was not very positive. It started with us being booked into a room that we had not seen on the photo’s. Which was not the biggest issue because we are not picky; but we would advise the owners to update the photo’s on booking.com. The toilet was not cleaned. There were some unfortunate events that the owners did not have control over but did make our stay disappointing. If you book this property, keep in mind that there’s no fencing to keep out stray dogs that are attracted to the rubbish thrown in the yard. One morning we woke up to one shoe eaten by a stray.. (which the owners felt bad about and did try to go repair! thank you for that!) But we do believe that if the garden was kept cleaner, dogs would not come there as much. If you do decide to stay here (because the price is really good for the location, breakfast included and airconditioning.) we would advise to keep your stuff inside.

Gospodarz odwołał moją rezerwację, którą zrobiłem trzy miesiące wcześniej dosłownie na dzień przed przyjazdem, przez co musiałem na ostatnią chwilę szukać nowego obiektu, za który płaciłem dużo drożej mimo podobnej lokalizacji. Tak się nie postępuje z klientami. Jest to bardzo nieprofesjonalne! Ktoś taki nie powinien mieć prawa udostępniać swojego obiektu na platformie Booking, bo oszukuje klientów

Este alojamiento ni siquiera sale en google maps, fue una odisea encontrarlo. En realidad no era un alojamiento, era una "choza" al lado de la casa de los propietarios en un descampado sucio. La habitacion aunque grande estaba muy sucia, cn las sabanas que ni parecian limpias ni olian bien, con muchas manchas sospechosas. El baño estaba sucio y el wc mas todavia, con restos organicos que vete tu a saber cuanto tiempo llevaban ahi. Lugar insalubre, eso si el aire acondicionado funcionaba bien...menos mal. La puerta no cerraba bien y por la situacio creaba una sensacion de inseguridad muy grande. Al llegar por la noche estaba diluviando y sorpresa... Habia goteras en la habitacion... El propietario la limpio con una manta...que obviamente quedo mega sucia, ya q el suelo esta bastante guarrete. Hemos viajado mucho y hemos dormido en sitios muchisimo mas senzillos pero limpios que es lo importante, jamas nos habia pasado esto. Asi que despues de la primera noche anulamos las 3 noches restantes y buscamos otro alojamiento a 3min y pasamos al paraiso!!! Creemos firmemente que la mayoria de las habitaciones que se anuncian son del alojamiento de al lado. No os alojeis en la habitacion familiar...es la que nos toco. Lo unico que podemos decir a favor es que el desayuno era abundante.

Access by car is almost impossible due to poor road conditions adjacent to the property. Rooms look very basic. Despite the pictures, there is no easy next door beach access.

I had a wonderful stay at Peacock Guest House! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed with genuine hospitality and friendliness. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere felt like home, yet with the charm and care of a true guest house experience. The food was another highlight delicious, fresh, and prepared with such care that every meal was memorable. It was the perfect combination of flavor and presentation, and I looked forward to every bite.

Der Host war sehr nett und das Frühstück war auch gut. Das Zimmer war echt groß und mit Klima ausgestattet. Die Lage war außerdem echt nah am Srand.

Mit Google Maps war es erst schwer zu finden aber nachdem wir dem Host per Whatsapp geschrieben haben hat sie uns den Standort gesendet und es war garnicht schwer. In der abgehängten Decke waren Nachts irgendwelche Tiere die recht laut waren und weshalb ständig Dreck von der Decke gebröckelt ist, das hat das Schlafen etwas unangenehm gemacht.

The good thing about it most is that only 1 min walking to the beach , the beach is quite and o much people in it which we liked more

When we arrived, the toilet was dirty and we asked if it could be cleaned. At night, the air conditioning would stop working and sometimes the power went out. There were damp stains in the room

Close to Goyambokka beach and silent beach. Stunning beaches and the owners of the place were so kind and helpful! The rooms were big and comfy! Incredible value!

The owners had an energy that would make anything happen.

Sadly had an ant infestation in the evening, but the energetic duo soon took care of the issue. However earlier in the evening, someone had decided to light a fire that smouldered all night. I couldn't seem to make them understand that the prolonged exposure to the smoke was making me quite nauseous, and the reason I opted to leave after just the 1 night.

Best stay ever!! Cannot recommend enough! Lovely property, really close to Goyambokka Beach. The rooms have everything you need (aircon works great!!) and the free breakfast was always delicious. The value for money is insane! The gentleman that runs the property is also really lovely and helpful. Thanks so so much for the wonderful stay :)

Just 1mn walk to the beach, very good value for money. All you need is there. Hot water, AC. The room is very simple but matress and pillow are confortable.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner and his wife were extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. They responded to our needs promptly and handled everything with great professionalism. Everything was perfect, and we truly appreciated their warm hospitality. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Goyambokka Peacock! Price was amazing and it even included a delicious breakfast with coffee. It is super close to a beautiful beach and you can spot a lot of different animals all over!

Helpful staff, pleasant accommodation

Very nice owners that made the stay perfect. Me and my friend spent one night here and loved it! 1-minute walk to the closest beach and great breakfast.
