The oasis chalet

11/10 Sterne, wenn es die Möglichkeit gäbe! Wir waren letzte Woche – ganz am Anfang zur Saisoneröffnung – vor Ort, und es war mit Abstand der tollste Zwischenstopp unserer Oman-Reise. Gebucht hatten wir eine Übernachtung inklusive Transfer und Abendessen. Das Chalet liegt direkt neben einem anderen Camp. Da dieses gerade für die Saison hergerichtet wurde, waren wir die einzigen Gäste. Am Treffpunkt wurden wir pünktlich abgeholt; der Parkplatz für unser Auto war groß und sicher. Unser persönlicher Fahrer Salem war einfach spitze! Er sprach perfekt Englisch, war extrem herzlich und erzählte uns während der angenehmen Fahrt sehr viel. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an absolut wohlgefühlt. Da das Nachbarcamp noch in der Eröffnungsphase war, brachte uns Salem das köstliche BBQ-Abendessen persönlich vorbei – die Uhrzeit durften wir uns sogar aussuchen. Die Unterkunft war tipptopp eingerichtet: geräumig, mit bequemen Couchsesseln, einem gemütlichen Bett und einer effektiven Klimaanlage. Ein großes Badezimmer (WC, Dusche, Waschbecken) im Freien mit Blick auf den Sternenhimmel. Auf der eigenen Terrasse warteten zudem zwei Stühle, ein Tisch und ein sauberer toller Jacuzzi. Auch das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war sehr lecker. Pünktlich um 11:00 Uhr brachte uns unser Fahrer wieder zurück zum Parkplatz. Wer im Oman ist, sollte sich dieses unvergessliche Abenteuer auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen. Absolute Empfehlung! Danke für den unvergesslichen Moment

Struttura splendida, immersa nel deserto e completamente isolata. La cena e la colazione erano ottime e molto abbondanti. Lo staff si è dimostrato cordiale e accogliente.

Tutto perfetto, ma con alcuni servizi da migliorare. Al nostro arrivo la vasca era completamente vuota: abbiamo dovuto riempirla noi e attendere prima di poterla utilizzare. Dopo vari tentativi per capire quando iniziasse a scaldarsi, abbiamo dovuto aspettare la mattina seguente per usufruirne. Peccato, perché avremmo voluto godercela già la sera sotto le stelle. Inoltre, avevamo richiesto tramite chat la possibilità di fare un giro con i cammelli, ma al nostro arrivo non erano disponibili. Abbiamo quindi optato per il giro in quad, che è stato molto bello. Tuttavia, c’è stata un’incomprensione: ci è stato detto che i quad erano solo singoli e non per due persone, ma il giorno seguente abbiamo scoperto che non era così. È sembrato quasi un modo per distribuire tutti i quad disponibili il giorno successivo.

difficile d'accès, obligation d'avoir un 4x4 et impossible de se diriger seuls, ils sont venus nous chercher repas avec des produits frais, mais minimalistes... l'eau du jacuzzi etait froide et n'a jamais chauffé.

The room itself was cozy and away from other camps. The bed was comfortable and the linen smelled amazing. The sofa and lighting was also comfortable. Mazal gave us a good experience for dune bashing.

Since the chalet was far from the other tents, there was absolutely no WiFi connection only for tent. Everytime we needed to go to the reception, we needed someone to pick us up. It was not walkable. Outside sit out area could have been more comfortable. Breakfast was not great at all. Hardly few options and even less for vegetarians. The jacuzzi tub should have a manual on how to use it. We could not use in on the first day since after check in, we tried to use it but it was not filling the tub. Later it was too cold to use. We used the next morning after breakfast but the sun was directly on my face.

Nice guy Yasir drove us in and out of the desert and was interesting to talk to. They brought our dinner and breakfast to our room, which was nice that we didn’t have to walk over to the main moon light camp area. Because it was hot during our visit, we ended up just filling the hot tub with unheated water, and it felt super nice! Outdoor shower was cool.

Expensive extra fees. We paid 5 OMR per person for dinner (at least breakfast was included), plus 5 OMR each way for a transfer into and out of the camp (we didn’t have a 4WD car to get out into the desert). They offered a sunset dune bashing tour for 25 OMR. With the already high cost of this place for the night, these extra fees felt excessive. The only other minor issue we had is that it was pretty hot in the unit when we arrived around 3pm and when we left around 10:30am. Granted, we visited in late September, which is just transitioning out of summer. So if you visit at a cooler time of year, I’m sure the AC unit is sufficient, but for the high temps during our stay, the AC couldn’t combat the heat and direct sunlight streaming in the unit. We didn’t know ahead of time, but it turns out that they only have camels at the camp seasonally and didn’t have them there yet in September. Not a huge deal, but things like that may be worth messaging them about ahead of time if extras are important to you.

Indrukwekkende, prachtige en rustige omgeving. Personeel stond voor je klaar, waren erg vriendelijk. Communicatie verliep goed. Eten was excellent.

L'emplacement et les équipements Vous êtes dans une bulle enchantée le temps de votre séjour Le silence autour. Nous étions a la recherche de calme et on a été plus que servi. Nous avons fait le dunebashing c'était top avec thé et gâteau au chocolat pour accompagner le couché du soleil. Magnifique. Le feu de camp les soirs et de belles discussions Les dîners étaient exquis ( mention spéciale aux samoussas, brochettes et galettes) Toujours du thé, du café et des boissons pour se rafraîchir durant la journée

Tres beau, tout le confort nécessaire dans le désert, emplacement super, pas de voisins proches. Repas servis en chambre à l’heure souhaitée. Plusieurs activités sont proposées si on le souhaite. Très bonne relation client.

An incredible room in the heart of the desert. Yaser was amazing and welcomed us perfectly. The AC and jacuzzi were a huge bonus in the heat, we truly appreciated it! The activities were top-notch! A big thank you to Jimmy for the impeccable service, to Jassem for the unforgettable dune bashing, and to Yaser for his warm hospitality and outstanding service in the middle of nowhere.

We loved everything

Entire chalet is awesome especially the jacuzzi and airconditioned room. The setting is amazing in the middle of the desert. Open air bathroom is also nice. It is really worth it!

It's a beautiful location and amazing experience. The hottub is a super nice feature. The food (both dinner and breakfast) is great, and the fire after dinner is cozy.

Loads of conforts which nearly sound like sci-fi, like being able to take a shower in the desert and charge your phone via Usb. The included breakfast was abundant and really top quality. We had an amazing day there! I would give 11 out of 10 if possible.

Everything, this was absolutely perfect! I’ve never been so quick to leave a review! I literally came back today and it’s been a dream! Everything is clean, this one is private so you’re away from the other tents , the spot is perfect! It was just perfect I wouldn’t think twice just book! Dawood drove me to the desert and explained a lot about Oman in general. This was so perfect!

Absolutely recommend this place ! We stayed only one day and now I feel I need more ! The place is Clean and near , they have warm water ( important for desert) , all works well , breakfast and dinner is tasty , the owner helped to order dinner as we were very hungry ! We stayed first night in different camp and this one is 1000% better !! The place is warm at night , and jacuzzi in the middle of desert is SUPERB 👌🏻

It was our first time sleeping in desert. We enjoyed the stay in camp very much. Even before our arrival we got support via chat with camp owner. It was clean, breakfast and dinner were good. Amazing atmosphere, especially fire with tea and marshmallows in the evening. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Everything was simply amazing, we imagined it to be nice but this was way beyond our imagination. The open air jacuzzi was literally breathtaking

There was absolutely nothing that we did not like

The location is great. In the middle of the desert, with plenty of things to do (go strolling the dunes, go camel ridding, slide the desert dunes....). The best thing was the star gazzing!

TOP, just the best location. Stayed in many places in the world, but this is at the very top. The Oasis Chalet. New year’s evenings there, top staff and humble Omanis. Tranquil, beautiful, relaxing.

It was the best stay in my life! This place is really amazing- you can relax here, enjoy the desert and calm your mind. Jacuzzi on the desert- this is so impressive! The owner and the staff (special thanks for Salim- always smiling man) are very helpful and they took care of us. We had absolutely everything what we needed. The breakfast is also delicious. We are very grateful for such wonderful hospitality!

The tent are very clean.we also took the dune bashing . It was fun. On the night we had a rainfall the staff was very kind they brought dinner into the tent in the middle of the rain.they also checked if the tent is not leaking

The place is amazing and the room is clean and comfortable and spacious with breathtaking view. They took us to watch the sunset on the dunes, a very funny experience. The dinner and breakfast were also excellent and diversified. Hosts were very kind and the after dinner as well with the campfire. Also, not that expensive compared to others in the area.

The camp was in a fantastic location in the desert completely surrounded by dunes. The tents were extremely comfortable as were the beds. I slept like a baby. The outside toilets/showers were whopped you would expect from camping experience but perfectly usable and not a problem. The camp itself was very spacious and the tents were located some distance away from each other giving that feeling of isolation to some degree. The staff organised a variety of different activities which looked to be at a reasonable price. The camper staff are able to organise a transfer from a local village into the dunes if you only choose to hire a two wheel drive car. It looked to be just about possible to get to the camp with the two wheel drive car but not for the fainthearted, and would require a good degree of confidence
