Unfortunately the reason why I booked this accommodation was because of the spa but it was sadly out of service during my stay.

Reviewed May 29, 2026This was actually the most comfortable bed we slept in throughout our entire 2 week road trip around New Zealands North Island (& that included a Mercure & a Movenpick!). Location was great to walk to shops, restaurants etc.. Didn't meet any staff (they weren't there for either our check-in or departure), but there were clear instructions left for us to follow both times.
Had a few stairs to navigate with heavy luggage to get to an upper level room.

Reviewed May 22, 2026Location near the center of Raglan was nice. The room was clean and quiet, we were upstairs on the very end, so little neighbor traffic. Parking was conveniently located.
Room did not have a sink for washing dishes, though there were dishes supplied in the room. Wish there had been a lift rather than having to carry our belongings up the stairs. The door to our room was sticking to the floor and was difficult to open without a hard shove.

Awesome location right next to a supermarket and two minutes walk to Main Street eateries and shopping. Delicious wood fired pizzas right nearby. Short walks within the township are accessible and the beaches and bush walks a short drive away. We’ll definitely be back.

Reviewed May 5, 2026We were welcomed in Te Reo, which was awesome, very friendly, and very accommodating because our teammates were downstairs, and we were booked upstairs. The receptionist said she had a room downstairs next to them if we would like to move down, so we did room was very bright warm with sliding door out to a court yard I would stay there again. We didn't have to use our car once everything was there.

The reception area was unattended during their lunch break and we had to seek help from the cleaning staff.

The pillows were uncomfortable and felt cheap. The shower box was unnecessarily small which we both found awkward, yet the bathroom was big enough to have a bigger shower box Also for $200 a night for a mere motel, I would have hoped for amenities such as shower cap, cotton buds and lotion which we find nearly everywhere we stay. We would initially delighted to find out that there was a spa pool but when we went to check it out before getting changed, we found the water was not clean looking because it was not clear and parts of the spa pool were rusty and we felt this spa pool was disgusting.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Spacious room, big enough bathroom and shower with great hot water pressure. close to everything in the township, just next to door to the supermarket. my kid enjoyed sleeping on a quality solid wooden bunk bed. and walking around courtyard (no car park near courtyard, safe for lilttle kids) very quiet even fully booked days and nights. (slightly off season but still Easter holidays) my family loved to stay at Raglan Sunset motel so much, we definitely come back.
