Reviewed Jul 19, 2026The owner and staff are super friendly! The facilities are amazing- the wide variety of animals just makes the stay so much more inviting- I will definitely be returning!!!
The hot tub only has warm water coming from the shower head - the water is still cold, which is not ideal for the winter but perfect for the summer.

Reviewed Nov 4, 2025The unit was novel and the individual swimming pool was lovely even though we did not get an opportunity to use it. The sounds of all of the animals was lovely to wake up to
The only suggestion that I can make is to have a paved area to park the car on so that you don't have to walk across the sand to get to the car but otherwise a fantastic place to stay. I would recommend The Olive Branch

Reviewed Oct 13, 2025The guesthouse was peaceful and beautifully maintained. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and it was lovely being surrounded by nature and the animals. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the setting was perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Reviewed Mar 14, 2025We arrived late but the owner waited for us.... There were no power due to a storm but the owner made a plan with a light and Fan to accommodate us. The power did come back after a while. Appreciated the effort thank you. In general we enjoyed our stay beautiful farm style accommodation with animals from tortoises to springbucks and horses. Very lovely and save enviroment.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2024I loved the location, the modern fancy room & the privacy. The owner was the best, polite, and friendly. The farm is beautiful with beautiful animals, and the accommodation is one of the best around Upington.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2024It was centrally located, about a 7min drive to the town centre. The shower was beautiful and the outdoor area included a private plunge pool. The cottage is on a farm so waking up to a little walk around the animals was lovely.
It would have been great to take a swim the morning we were leaving, however It was too cold and I believe the pool is only heated for stays that are 2-3 nights.

Couldn’t find tea, coffee etc. was available thought.

Reviewed Jan 21, 2024We absolutely loved our warm welcome and peaceful night at this delightful farm-stay style self-catering unit. It was perfectly appointed with everything we needed and the unit included your own private courtyard with a braai place, outdoor shower and plunge pool. I was in absolute paradise wondering around petting the resident Zebra, Springbok, goats, donkeys and miniature horses. We will most definitely revisit when we’re traveling in the area.
